Here's the thing though, he set up the winner with a lovely ball. Now tell me what Siggurdson or Szmodics did all game, and yet it's Dolan getting the stick.

Give the lad a break, he was as good as anyone at QPR, and he's set up the winner today,in a game where Tronstad is getting great credit for doing the simple things adequately.

Belated reply, but i DID say what happened to the lad we got from Preston

Strange old game today. If we have a decent centre forward, we would have walked the game . We are basically playing without one (no false nine stuff).

Goalie, back four and Tronstradt looked comfortable all day. That's a great base to build from.

Attacking wise, Dolan is just miles off it. Genuine basic technical deficiencies. He has set the goal up, can't knock that.

The interesting question is our best player, Wharton. We are poorer going forward, but more solid without him. I love the kid. If we can get a centre forward and get Wharton nearer to him, could be magic.

Interesting on Dolan, yes he put the ball in for JRC to score but what else apart from get the ball pass back or square it, what happened to the lad that took players on for fun.

I don't know if you are thick or what. I will try to explain my thought process. After our home loss against Hull, to get back on track, we would need four points from the next two away games. Today we got three, therefore we need one at Plymouth. Do you understand my thought process ?

Why not try for 6 points 😎👍

Our targets as in Rovers targets

Its great that Staff at Rovers have positive and happy comments to make about JDT and the fact he is trying involved everyone at the club and make it about us being together as one.

Did they? They might just being honest cos they feel he has been fresh of breathe air since he was appointed

You are obsessed by the state of pitch nowadays.

Good grief it has pissed it down the last week what do you expect of the pitch,

Jumping the gun a bit but looking ahead to next summer the following are out of contract according to transfermarkt

    Morton - loan

    Hirst - option to buy

    Mola - option to buy

    Ayala

    Dack - 1 year option

Travis - shouldn't be too difficult to agree new deal

    BBD - defo going

Vale - can only see him leaving if he does crap

So that will be 8 out of the door. I know it's been mentioned that you don't have time to build a squad in this league but I think JDT can be afforded a season to grow. There's 8 potentials leaving, if 3 of them do well we can retain them (dack and the options to buy), Travis and Vale I can't see being too difficult to persuade to stay so it's Morton, BBD and Ayala that are the ones that will need replacing (ayala could even stay). I think if we miss out on play offs this season then we've got a good shot at pushing for them next season.

JDT has already stated that he wants 2/3 transfer windows to sort out the players he wants to complement the ones we have and the ones showing great potential, so not bothered about the ones to go in what seems like 8 months time.

The bids for Brereton were way below 10 million. Would you have entertained those bids? I'd say keep him, he'll give us plenty of goals and maybe just maybe we will challenge top 6. In the meanwhile Rovers should track replacements

Alan Myers has said the venkys will not be too bothered about the fee for BD he knows they play hardball from his time working here, we as fans obviously would like to see 15-20m for him but hey they pay the wages.

Been away from home working for most of the day and just catching up with the transfer window madness.

As I said a few days ago, I am not part of the Twitterati or Tw@atterati (if I've had a glass or two too many).

For what it's worth, I thought that if Brereton was still in the building at noon today then he would be with us until at least January.

Also think we need at least one more through the door and preferably two.  Not hopeful this will happen now.

I'm sure, in fact 100% sure that JDT said only a few days ago that this is a transition period and will take 2 or 3 transfer windows to get where he wants to be and that this transfer window we were working behind as he and Gregg only arrived late in the day. So far so good.

Ideally I'd like another CM, but funds are clearly tight and we're desperate for another attacking option, a LB and a CB - not to mention a backup RB.

I assume Edun is pencilled in as cover at LB and CM.

I watched the Watford v WBA game yesterday and we can simply give up on any promotion dreams - their squads are far deeper than ours, we simply can't compete.

Defeatist, I'm glad our manager has not the same mindset as you.

I am terrified we are going in to the new season with one signing! With Lenihan, Rothwell and Nyambe all gone we are very light not only in numbers but quality too.

This team capitulated last season and it was because we didn’t strengthen in January. We are now amazingly weaker.

I thought the appointment of GB would improve our poor transfer record……Seems to have got worse! 😂

Sorry but i disagree, Rothwell did FA 2nd half of season might as well not played, Nyambe groin injury how many times?? Lenihan was okay no dispute there, but to say we are lacking in quality because those three left is an injustice to those that remain. Oh and Mowbray's master plans helped didn't they --NOT

Well said Glen, it gives us a picture of what is going on it also proves Venkys have learnt nothing in 12 years thank God by chance we've stumbled across GB who in turn found JDT just in time

Bit of a strange comment there, Venkys have learnt nowt in 12years,  Glen clearly states that they the Venkys intervened to get GB who in turn got JDT, so no we clearly didn't stumble on GB/JDT, I agree yes it was just about in time but a little credit even though loathe to give it.

No 12 years of Venky’s have dumbed down my expectations, Sharpe’s tweet is an example of how they’ve done it…

Venkys fault, oh remember defenders are coming, Mowbray had money, he just spent it on giving contracts out willy nilly costing the club millions, i.e. after the promotion back to the championship.

It’s the age old Venky issue.

He’s ok, decent at this level, but nothing more… but still won’t be replaced with anybody better, or even replaced with a permanent signing at all.

We have no idea who or if he will be replaced, Lenihan is another who thinks the grass is greener (see where Armstrong's playing this season) JDT/Broughton are no fools, I said it before and I'll say it again Mowbray dumbed down the fan base so much we have no expectations, as is plain to see on this forum.
