Glenn Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Do we have anyone that works in insurance, specifically can advise of event liability insurance? A quick google seems to make it look like travel insurance with quote ranging from almost nothing, to a kings ransom, for seemingly the same cover.

Paul Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 The reason I'm asking is I have a friend who is now retired from the insurance industry. If you can email me the details I'll get in touch with him by email. He only lives 500 yards away but I'm a long way from home at present! We used to organise a village bonfire display every November. It had to stop when the landowner wanted PLI. Cost was around £300 as I recall. The problem with the coffin thing is alcohol and being in the public highway. Lethal combination to insure!
