Mattyblue Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Two reasons, one, not a bank holiday and two, since the act of union, ‘Englishness’ has often been conflated with ‘Britishness’. Probably less so since devolution, but it is why national ‘days’ in England have more revolved around sporting and royal events over a saint/national day. Quote
