  1. Hughesy's shrink told him.
  2. Why continually put yourself in this position?! Are you a bit special Hughesy?
  3. Was hoping you'd show up Jason - heard owt?
  4. Which bit do you hope is a joke?
  5. Just put £50 on Hughes on Betfair. Cos I'm one crazy guy.
  6. Its good to see you are slowly warming to the idea of Hughes ... three days ago you couldn't fathom why people were sugggesting him I dont necessarily agree with the notion in my previous post, but by CK's theory it does seem to ring true. You are right though, the idea of Hughes is becoming more appealling in my eyes with each passing day. Previously I was dead set against taking any sort of risk or gamble with this appointment, but on reflection that may be a worthwhile strategy. Its a change in opinion largely prompted by reading posts by Rover6, believe it or not.
  7. Very well put Captain, cant argue with any of that. The comment about starting on equal ground is especially apt, as you quite rightly say none of them will have managed this club before, infact to that end you could argue that Hughes perhaps has the most experience of all of the candidates, what with him having been at the club previously.
  8. And quite rightly so!!!
  9. Oooh, good game Bryan. Bruno Cheyrou
  10. Hodgson added
  11. I'm actually very encouraged by that LET article. The more I reflect on it, the less I am opposed to Hughes. I would back him to the hilt if he came in, whilst being very apprehensive about his lack of experience. As Rover6 quite rightly keeps pointing out, everyone has to start somewhere, and even the greatest managers around needed a break. You dont know until you give it a go. Cautiously optimistic. He's certainly a personality we can all admire.
  12. Can someone tell me exactly why we all dislike Sturrock so much? Am I right in thinking that its purely because a certain board member advocated him for so long? Sturrock actually has a very impressive record wherever he has been, it would be extremely harsh to judge him on the Southampton debacle. That said, I dont particularly want him, but we could do worse.
  13. Skybet - Hughes 6/4 Advocaat 7/2 Moyes 4/1 Of the three I'd undoubtedly prefer Moyes. Not quite sure where that one is coming from though? EDIT: And Betfair have added O'Leary........
  14. His football opinions stink just as much as his personal ones. You aint agreeing with too many people comments today are you. Well, I'm not agreeing with you, because you talk utter nonsense. I'm not agreeing with the other chap about Hoddle being a decent choice, because in my opinion Hoddle is an incompetant [edited]. And thats the edited version. T4E - Watch the language mate, children do read the board [Ricky]
  15. His football opinions stink just as much as his personal ones.
  16. No, its just Hughesy, and he is talking a LOT of it Your getting boring now. Talk about football instead of slagging off other board members Stop talking @#/? and the other board members wont have anything to slag off.
  17. Atleast he can get discounted therapy. Hughes now 6/5, but still suspended..........
  18. Can you give us a source Hughesy? Bearing in mind that your Auntie's stepdad's goldfish's psychiatrist doesnt count........?
  19. Very good friends of my grandad is the Warburton family. His two daughters also get therapy treatments at my Step Mums sister's shop in Bolton. Oh Hughesy, what would we do without you?
  20. Hughes is even money on Skybet now, and the whole market has been suspended. Looks like today could be an interesting day.
  21. How the hell do you know whether or not Allardyce is ###### off with his board? How do you know what Iain Dowie thinks about his family life? You havent got a clue, like the rest of us.
  22. Hughesy, why do you continually state your opinions as if they are fact? In the past you have countless times shown that you know just as much as anybody else on this website, and if truth be told you probably know less than most. Why do it to yourself??
  23. Advocaat was a big fan of Amo during his earlier days at Rangers, frequently praising him publicly. However Amo did almost leave Rangers twice when he was there, and spoke out about his unhappiness a few times. I wouldnt say Advocaat doesnt like Amo, but they probably dont have the friendliest of relationships.
  24. Hughes being odds on is a bit strange, as is the major market move on Moyes (how's that for alliteration?!). Nice to see Advocaat slipping slightly.
