[Archived] Walkersteel Blackburn End?

I think dominic matteo earning £35 k per week is closer to theft. i think the club charging £36 to go and watch two distinctly average football teams is closer to theft. Also, Jan has been speaking ###### throughout the thread - the club can do no wrong in her eyes and she would go and pay £50 to watch rovers. ITS TOO EXPENSIVE TO GO AND WATCH 22 MEDIOCRE FOOTBALL PLAYERS FOR 90 MINUTES!! people are staying away for a reason -

But rovers have never reduced prices over a sustained period of time - for example they could just price every seat at every game of the season at £20/£25 and market this a lot. Surely at this price a consistent amount of people will walk on. I am a 20 year old walk on supporter who attends around 15 games a season and still buy junior tickets because I simply cant afford adult prices being at university. What is the point of a town having a football club if the town's people cannot afford to participate and go and support them?! the club must be in a reasonable financial state and they are pricing people out of football. Also, rovers have never tried their initiatives (such as quid a kid) for the big draw games such as chelsea/ man united. they know that the chelsea game will not sell out so why not do quid a kid for this so that the kids can come and watch a spectacle rather than a very average game against the likes of portsmouth. People will be inspired by the likes of joe cole rather than andy o brien -

[Archived] Season Tickets 2006/2007

In my opinion the key to attracting a consistantly high number of people to games is the number of season tickets sold. I think Rovers should really make a push to try and get the number of STH back up to the 15-17k mark. I am a non season ticket holder who regularly attends games, yet i receive nothing from the club trying to make me buy a season ticket. I think the club should send out to everyone on the data base a letter explaining details of season tickets. This may be an expensive thing to do in the short term - but even if only a few hundred people buy ST's as a result- the benefit of cash and more people watching the team week in week out will out weigh that. Basically, as mentioned before, I think the club needs to market itself a lot better. -
what about this..... Dwight yorke wherever you may be you are the king of pornography *EDITED* Please remember children read this board

Although I am not in agreement with sacking souness I feel that people have been harsh on rover6 as In my opinion he has given a well rounded argument and plenty of valid reasons for discontent. Obviously things arent good at the moment but I think continuity is vital for a football club and sacking someone after 1 bad run would certainly be a knee-jerk reaction. Surely Man utd are an example of this sticking with Ferguson through some bad times and to an extent bolton with allardyce. This is interesting as it shows what quite a few people think about rovers - this is why my mates ridicule me for being a rovers fan - not the inept performances. The thing is - there is an element of truth in it. Also; I think the majority of people fail to see the bigger picture. I know lots of money is spent attending games etc but I just think people forget that football at the end of the day is a game and is designed for enjoyment (players and supporters alike). Your team doesnt HAVE to be winning for fans to enjoy a game. One last point is that Rovers are very lucky to be in the premier league as in my opinion we are the smallest club in the premier league and probably as a whole package bring least to the league (along with fulham) so why dont people just relax a little and just get behind the team as it may actually help the players.
