Radio Lancs have said this morning that Lucas Neill has extended his contract by a further two years. This will take his contract up to 2007, and makes him the longest contracted player at Ewood Park.

21 year old David Yelldell will become Blackburn Rovers' first summer signing, when he joins from German club Stuttgart Kickers. He will compete with Alan Kelly for the number two goalkeeping spot.
In the same article, Liverpool's chief scout reveals how liverpool turned down the chance to Damien duff as a youngster. How they must be regretting that now!

Steve Bruce has gone back to rovers with a new offer for David Dunn. Weekend stories that Birmingham were to offer a part exchange deal have been denied by John Williams.
Local sources say that Dunny would be keen on a move to St. Andrews.

So now we have a tie between "Bomb Burnley" and "War Was Justified" - what would Peter Snow make of that?!
He would probably work out that if Dale Winton's wedding was more important than the iraq war, then I can't believe it's not football is the place to be!

It's quite simple really. Have you seen anything yet, that justifies the war. Some people would argue, that evidence of Saddam's alleged murder and torture of his own people is justification in itself. That the overthrow of his regime is justified because of this.
Other's argue that ONLY discovery of WMD'd will justify such action.
Well that's just rubbish, whether or not there are WMD or not is the worst justification for a war IMO.
Which bits rubbish, doc?

I thought now might be a good time to take a sample of opinions of the site members, on the Iraq situation. The question is simple.
Given that, as yet, no WMD's have been found, is the coalition's attack on Iraq justified?

As you have probably just read on the news, Rovers have just announced their long awaiting return to Dublin. This time we are playing Bray Wanderers on Wednesday 6th August. Here is some info to help.
Bray is a tourist town 21 miles South of Dublin, within easy reach of the DART train sevice from Dublin centre.
Currently many airlines offer very very cheap flights to Dublin (especially Ryanair from Leeds and Liverpool) and we expect the many Rovers fans will be staying in Dublin itself rather than Bray (last train between the two seems to be 23:30) to sample Dublin's excellent night life.
Bray Wanderers play at "The Carlisle" which looks a similar standard of St. Patricks where Rovers played a couple of years ago and the are know as the Seagulls . They are currently 4th in the Irish 1st Division.

I reopened this topic because one or two posters hadn't seen the results. The latest posts have caused closure.
Thenodrog, your latest, whether drunk or not, is totally unacceptable. Personal Abuse is the reason for closure, again it wont be tolerated.
