  1. That was as bad as I remember seeing Liverpool play for a long time. It said to me from just a couple of minutes in that they weren’t playing for Slot. He must be at risk.
  2. We were dominated in the air, with ease in both boxes. Why we continued to put high crosses in I really have no idea. Elsewhere there was a lot of huff and Puff in midfield in the second half but it was totally ineffectual stuff. Up front? Do me a favour. There’s nothing there, absolutely nothing. No pace, no power or strength and nowhere near enough ability. Derby deservedly won the game and they had to do very little to win it. The powers that be should understand that this situation has come about principally because of their strategies over many years. I doubt any of them have considered that possibility.
  3. When a manager starts telling fans things that are clearly not true, it’s a sure sign that he’s feeling the pressure, that the job is getting away from him. It almost inevitably ends one way. Here at Ewood it could take a tad longer.
  4. Support 2 clubs? Never. I could never do that. Venkys killed it for me and all the guys I travelled with from Leyland. Under their tenure, long hard supporting fans fell away one by one over the last ten years or so. It finished up where I was driving to Ewood and walking down to Ewood to night matches in the dark, in the rain, on my own. I was in the riverside on the ground at one game where the stewards were wading into the D.E. To tackle demonstrating Rovers fans. That was at the club that I loved. I think the love ended there. I started to fall away at that point. I didn’t renew my season ticket and never heard a thing from Rovers. My attendance is limited now but I still watch every game I can on TV, follow everything in the media and “enjoy” the discussions on here. However the anger I have towards the owners currently dominates my feelings. I would love them to leave because we will never recover while they’re still here. Unfortunately the future post Venkys cannot be guaranteed either.
  5. I think this is the worst squad rovers have had in my 60+ years of supporting rovers. Worst thing is there’s no one in the squad or at the club who can turn this around.
  6. and he didn’t manage to win one header. He’s useless.
  7. When fans like you Matty feel this way it’s pretty grim. Decent owners really would care but ours won’t.
  8. You could almost believe that Venkys “had” to commit to putting in an annual amount of cash for the sale from the Walker family to go through. Since then they’ve spent 15 years selling anyone and everyone in a simple attempt to recoup as much as possible. Thats all they do.
  9. It’s not hard Chaddy. I didn’t say I didn’t know how we set up. I said I can’t see how this group of players can be set up to win games regularly. You tell me?
  10. Playing well for 45 mins doesn’t mean a thing. There’s only one aim in football and that is to find a way to- any way - to win games. How you win doesnt matter. If you’re winning regularly you’re doing it right. Honestly, look at that squad of players and tell me “how” they’ll set up to win games. I can’t see it.
  11. Exactly my view as well Rev. Where does the hope come from?
  12. It is a big mess, you’re right. It isnt about any one individual. It’s about the owners. We are owned by failures who appoint failures. It won’t change.
  13. Selling quality players and replacing them with cheap gambles is what they did when they took over a mid table Premier league side. That relegated us and with the very odd signing it’s what they’ve been doing for 15 years now. They aren’t going to change. For the fans that know we can and have done better than that, it’s a killer.
  14. I didn’t see the game but……
  15. People are saying what they saw Chaddy. Not what they wanted to see or ignoring the parts they didn’t want to see.
  16. Exactly Tyrone. He can split a defence with one touch from deep midfield. Not many can do that.
  17. Some people could see just how talented he was and how special he was. Some people could see just how he stood out from even the best youngsters we’ve had over 60+ years. Some people thought he was a very good player.
  18. Does it? I didn’t know that.
  19. He would score plenty because he’s good enough. Ours don’t score because they’re not.
  20. Don’t blame Ismael for our current predicament. The owners can hire and fire whoever they want. They’re responsible for everything that happens here, they have total control over anything and everything at Ewood. They've had control now for fifteen years. In those fifteen years, when they took over a mid table Premier League club, how many good decisions have they made? Sacked the manager, got rid of Williams and Finn and also sold an entire PL squad. Since then, well as I asked how many good decisions have they made? When we’ve had a decent manager they’ve forced him out. When we’ve signed a decent player they’ve sold him. They’ve got to go. They can’t turn this around. There’s no sign of them being able to turn anything around. Please sell up.
  21. Amateurs. Where do they find these players. Local park?
  22. There are some very poor players in that Rovers side. It’s like watching a team that had been relegated three weeks ago.
  23. The current mob running the club are so naive. The LT can do more to help them and to promote them, than any other organisation. They should listen to what the LT are saying and work WITH them.
  24. It’s quite clear to me that Rovers need a complete clear out. I’d get rid of Pasha, Gestede and Ismael. The only way things can improve is by getting rid of those people who are appointing them - the owners. The lot need to go and be replaced with people who actually know how to run a club with real ambition. This lot have no idea.
