Rovers are looking to loan him out to a national league club. -

Hedges likely played his last game for Rovers. -
No nonsense - Robbie Savage?

Macclesfield Rev.

I don’t see anything in Savage that persuades me he’d make a manager.

Conversation something like “where’s my strikers you big long tosser”.

The January 2026 Transfer Window
den replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Ignore the last 15 years if you can. The running of the club since the last game of last season has been an absolute disaster. It couldn’t have been handled any worse. These people currently running this club are the pits. Every one of them.- 5409 replies

The January 2026 Transfer Window
den replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The logical thing to have done was to change manager before the transfer window. -
My thoughts too. He was talking about himself possibly leaving in his post match interview. He knew it was over - and yes nobody - not even Venkys - wouldn’t have someone lined up for the interim.

We really shouldn’t be surprised that Ismael is still here, on a long term contract. We’ve got owners who within weeks sacked Allardyce, drove out Williams and Finn and replaced them with their “friend” Jerome Anderson and Steve Kean. I can’t believe that would have happened at any other PL club or any other English league club. Possibly nowhere else in the world. Since then we’ve had 15 years of them appointing duds, coupled with them pretty much driving out any manager who showed promise. Then there’s the shambles of their management almost on a daily basis. Good staff leaving, numerous coaches walking away. Good players being sold at the drop of a hat, replaced with some pretty poor recruitments. They don’t communicate in any way with the fans. In short, they’re not fit to own or run a football club. They’re not capable of in any way, improving a football club. I reckon those fans who want to stick with Venky’s for their money should think about that. Is this what they really want for Rovers?

No one’s pretending VI is any good - but when any manager is being given worse players, he’s going to fail.
-
How the hell do you judge any manager at this club, having to make something that the likes of Gestede throw their way? I might be old fashioned but I really miss the days when the manager knew who he wanted and the chairman did his best to bring him in.

The January 2026 Transfer Window

Nah, KE. Proper strikers make their own space, create their own chances and/or put those chances away. As one of the above posters said, goal scorers don’t play on the wing. Not for long any way. -

Who on earth based at Ewood is going to push for VI to be sacked? - Nobody.

Every position is a specialist role RF. I don’t see that he’s in any way outstanding defensively or offensively. Hes tidy. -

The centre halves do indeed need protecting. Ours don’t get much protection. -
500 (or so) Words After Swansea City (a)
den replied to BRFCS.com's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
You echo what the big majority of rovers fans think Ian. The feeling is of total despair to what the owners are doing to a club that so many have loved for their entire lives. -

As regards Tronstatd, he’s tidy on the ball and passes it well. It’s hard to see anything beyond that. I wouldn’t say he’s a terrier who puts opposition players under any kind of pressure in midfield, I wouldn’t say he’s a terrier who gets close to his midfield opponents. He certainly isn’t any kind of creative player either. In short if I were in the opposition team he certainly wouldn’t scare me. He does what he does relatively well but that’s not a lot. -

yes. Excusing it rather than dealing with it.

I actually meant being successful with that way of running the club would need a huge chunk of luck.
