  1. I know what @Paul Mellelieu is trying to say and he’s making a valid point. There are no guarantees of anything with administration. It’s easy to be so blasé about the effects. With Admin Rovers would drop like a stone. The preferable route out of this is what I posted earlier. That’s for Venkys to do their utmost to find suitable owners and hand the club over. I’m not saying it’s even possible to find anyone who could come close to putting the money in that they have done. I doubt that it is. It’s time for them to move on for sure. Administration won’t be something rovers would recover from for a very long time in my opinion - if ever.
  2. If Venky’s truly wanted the very best for our club, they should take a step back, look at the current situation regarding their ownership and difficulties in funding the club - and begin the process of looking for the right people, with the right backing, to take over from them - thereby taking as much risk out of this situation as possible. If not now, when?
  3. Maybe Bolton have someone in the reserves they could lend us?
  4. Congrats on the BRFCS article this morning. A really good piece of work that should clarify a few things - even/particularly for those who don’t frequent here.
  5. Blackburn Rovers football club failed to pay their due tax to HMRC. They were then told if they didn’t pay it, a winding up order for Rovers would be actioned. Venkys Needed to appeal to the Indian courts to be allowed to provide the funds. It wasn’t a given the courts would agree. These things happen all the time?
  6. I think the difference here is not just that the club was late with payments, but the fact that because of changes to Indian Law the club could very well have gone into administration without a successful legal appeal in India. That must have been very much in the balance for some time. It wasn’t just a routine thing that happens all of the time Glen. A few more detailed questions could rightly be asked of Waggott regarding the current and future situation.
  7. Sounds to a financial know nothing like me, that Venkys owed c£3.5m pounds to the HMRC and the HMRC threatened to wind the club up if Venkys didn’t pay it. The Indian court agreed to allow that. No idea what the situation is now.
  8. JDT goes on about needing experience in the squad. I totally agree with him. However, how much experience does he have in English football. What did/does he know about the requirements of the English leagues? Thing is, we have Venkys, Waggott, Broughton and JDT. The experience between this people of English championship football amounts to how much exactly? I mean… what experience of any football, at any level, do the owners have? Oh for proper football people running the club. Oh for managers like Furphy who didn’t need anyone else to scout and find players for him. He knew what he was doing because he’d done it all before.
  9. Plan A….. bring through youngsters, sell them and reinvest the money into the squad. If that worked Crewe would have made it to the top division. The money doesn’t get reinvested. As the only plan it’s hopeless. fall back to Plan B……… stay in the league til things improve. If you could stay in the league at will, nobody would get relegated. Idiots.
  10. If that’s the case then maybe it’s about time the fans made sure their voices are heard. Theres nothing else.
  11. The club is in one hell of a mess. It’s a crisis. I wonder whether Waggott understands it. He’s the man at the top at Ewood.
  12. What’s going on at this club is a scandal. There are a lot of people involved that should be nowhere near Ewood Park Charlatans and thieves.
  13. Talking about strikers, maybe rovers should take a look at Jamie Tart. He’s probably available seeing his club recently loaned him to Man City.
  14. The current two are the worst pair of goalkeepers I’ve seen at Ewood in my lifetime. Simply down to recruitment.
  15. To a point he is. He can only play with the squad at his disposal though. Some fans, rightly and very understandably, are saying we should be less cavalier and far more solid at the back. Three points… where are the hard running, hard tackling experienced midfielders needed to give cover to the back four? Where are the wide midfielders capable of first and foremost giving cover to the full backs for ninety minutes? How is recruitment achieved? Does Broughton simply scout and bring in the players for JDT - or is the manager given full input and final say on who comes in? I suspect it’s the first option. Neither of those two have enough experience of English Championship football for that role. That’s where we are.
  16. So the question is Tyrone, how much would Duggie and Ronnie be worth in todays market - in your opinion?
  17. No I haven’t Bazza. I’ll look out for it. Milligan - he was a one off😀
  18. Those Irish know how to do funerals. Loved it.
