  1. Anyone scouting players will look for any weaknesses in a player. Weaknesses that can’t easily be addresses with coaching or experience. Weaknesses that could stop a player reaching the top. Anyone seen any in Adam?
  2. Whartons bit of magic yesterday https://x.com/rovers/status/1696246208996466842?s=46&t=wT27yUdXILU0s10X6MNvTQ
  3. I was impressed today. I thought we played really well. Watford will think they were unlucky but rovers were never outstretched or outplayed IMO. Defensively we were organised and mistakes were rare. We were caught out with the balls inside Brittain a number of times but that was about it. When you’re trying to make judgements on a player, watch him away from home. Today showed up Leonard’s frailties. He has a lot to work on. Dolan, well did he ever find another team mate when he was on? I was also just saying to my son how Hedges does a lot of running with the ball but rarely creates or scores. Within minutes, guess what happened! Got to mention Adam Wharton again. I don’t think I can remember the last time I saw a young rovers player with the passing ability that he’s got. First time passes, no first touch needed. He can do everything. Some of the things he does, some of his vision is Messi-like. He’s not there yet. He could contribute a lot more during the 90 minutes and he could reduce the number of times he concedes possession, all things any manager would demand. If you can’t get excited by his abilities though, then I really don’t know what you want. Good show today but real team strengthening required up front.
  4. I didn’t know him but it’s an incredibly sad story. Had he been Ill?

  8. Hi guys. On my iPad everything is working great. On my mobile however, if I’m not signed in I can see all the forums but when I do sign in the fan zone disappears. I’ve tried everything I can think of at my end. Any ideas? Thanks.
  9. Bare bones. That squad screams out for more quality.
  10. It’s what I console myself with. Whatever these owners or anyone else at Ewood inflict on this club, they can never take those memories away. Im sure there are plenty of fans who will look back in later years and think the same about seeing us win the Premier League.
  11. Rovers fans used to gather in the Darwen end then. They would wait for the toss and make a dash to the Blackburn end if rovers were kicking that way. Then at half time they would make their way back again. No fencing or barriers to stop them.
  12. I was. started off on the Darwen end and changed ends with the team. I was 14 at the time. Wow.
  13. What would be brilliant would be to hear from someone who was at both the Spurs and West Ham games. Such as Duggie🙂 Ive no idea how Bryan’s health is or whether anyone on here is in contact. That would be great though. Trying to think who’s still alive from that team. Mike England is I think. Andy McEvoy?
  14. I remember seeing some of the goals on BBC lunchtime news.
  15. again, that was no ordinary West Ham team. Moore, Hurst and Peters. I wonder if anyone here went or knew anyone that went? 26th December 1963. West Ham 2 - 8 Blackburn Rovers.
  16. but did that lot at the Turd then go on and beat Bobby Moore’s West Ham 8-2 (8-3?) at Upton Park in the same season? Dont mention a couple of days later. That doesn’t matter.🙂
  17. Think the team was Else Bray Newton Clayton England McGrath Ferguson McEvoy Pickering Douglas Harrison.
  18. The great Danny Blanchflower is one of those photos I think. Totally destroyed by Duggie and crew that day. ferguson, Pickering and Mike Harrison celebrating in another.
