Devastating news. May well be the end of his football career
I guess it depends if he has already had surgery to fix the problem.
If he hasn't then that would be the next step. It would mean a long recovery process but I think it is a generally successful procedure these days.
Wish him all the best and hope we see him in Blue and White next year.

You would hate to think the group they were advising on Rovers have given up and turned their attention to The Lashers.Probably will be free of debt and with Oyston out the way could run it how they think it should be run. unlike these morons running our gaff- Cheston , Pasha ffs.
i don’t think I could stand it if they did buy it and it became everything we dreamed of in terms of running it successfully and we are still stuck with Barry Bling and the Pluckers
Exactly what I was thinking. I thought both Ians were big Rovers fans. I am sure Battersby is.
But if they just fancy owning a football club then Blackpool are probably a better proposition as they would start debt free and a probably a have a wealthy and willing partner in Belokon. Why go for Rovers with the a massive debt hanging over the club. That's even if they had the option

Ian Currie must have given up hope of Venky's selling

I see 'Venky's India' shares had a pretty good day today. Up by more than 5% since yesterday if I'm reading it right.
Have they issued some news of some sort ?

OMG Give me strength

From an extremely reliable source.
There was a meeting down at the academy today with some of the staff to let them know they need to cut costs by £350,000 per annum starting from this season.
I suppose it was inevitable at some point but still another kick in the teeth to Jack's legacy.
Sounds like a large proportion of the budget at that level. What would Jack think!
Another nail in the coffin. Can't take this lying down

You say the money has been 'pumped in' but what has actually happened is that they have issued new shares to the value of £3.625m
I don't understand how these things work but by issuing shares does that mean they can always get this money back by selling the shares or taking dividends. It's not like a free gift and their money has gone forever.
Presumably, as long as the total assets of the club are over £147m ( Ewood, Brockhall, players ) the money is just an investment and could, in theory, be retrieved by selling assets.
Where do the Bank of India come into it - is the debt to them completely unrelated to any share issues ?
I've never understood it. Are they currently being totally benevolent or are they just moving money around?
