Oxford was a Tuesday night, Watford is a Saturday so if we get the same attendance ( 6,000 ) as you expect then I would say that the boycott has definitely had an effect
-
I think they do understand - that is why the coalition have requested that anyone not wishing to boycott the match to boycott food and drink in the ground and goods from the club shop.
-
The call for a boycott is a starting point. I don't think there are many Rovers fans who have not heard about it - so that is a start - get people thinking, get people talking and get the spotlight on Venky's in general and Pasha in particular. It is an initial step and if most fans ignore it - as you suggest will be the case - then other options will be considered. Things that will get more people on board are a run of bad results/relegation/bad transfer dealings. All those things will happen sooner or later under the current set up but if we wait until things are that bad, the call for a boycott will just appear to be reactionary. I think it is a good idea to 'get our retaliation in first' and it shouldn't stop after the Watford game whether there is 1 person there or 20,000 there.

Boycott - It needs to be done. The club is only going one way if Venky's remain

He is certainly there at the moment but that is not uncommon. -

Maybe Ismael went against Pasha's instructions out of necessity. Pasha is away in India. I still think Pickering is on the list of departures in January -
Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
Crimpshrine replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Pasha's remit is to run the club as he sees fit and make it as cost effective as possible. The owners leave it to him completely and as long as he doesn't ask for extra money over the agreed budget, the owners are happy and he gets his bonus. He is all powerful at the club - especially now that Steve Waggott has gone. The owners really have no interest and just accept his decisions without question. If Pasha told the owners that he had cut costs to the max and it was now a matter of put up more money or sell then Venky's would probably sell. Pasha hates publicity ( and fans !) and is very arrogant. If we keep the pressure on him and he decides he's had enough ( and earned enough ) it could be the start of the end for Venky's -

So no red card if the player was Makhtar Gueye and not Morishita ? -
I don't believe they are stupid enough to think they are adding value by keeping hold of the club. They are simply paying running costs which can never been seen as an investment. The £220 million has gone and they know that. Despite their great wealth, there will be a point at which they say enough is enough. Boycotting matches/season tickets to reduce income will make them sit up and take notice.

150th Anniversary kit/celebrations
Crimpshrine replied to Proudtobeblue&white's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I read somewhere that the club ( Pasha ) decided not to issue a new 150th shirt while there were still lots of stock of the gold and green shirts left to sell. I just checked on line and the only sizes left of the gold are Small, 4XL and 5XL. The green has Small and 5XL I suspect there won't be any special 150th shirt now because they don't want to pay for anything that may be seen as a partial risk during this period of cost cutting. Maybe the book hasn't sold well and they are taking the hint. 135/15 -
Current bid £354 which rises to £437 with fees - no mention of it being for charity. Imagine paying that for a shirt with Venky's logo on it !

The sudden lack of games for Ribeiro is odd too. Did we sign him on a free with the intention of selling at a profit in January ?

Sky commentator yesterday: "The hierarchy wanted to reduce the age of the squad to create saleable assets" There was then a short silence - he was probably just contemplating that statement and thinking: "is that a sensible approach for a football club with any ambition whatsoever ?" -
