  1. Waggott appointed Eustace and, whatever we think of SW, he is an experienced agent and negotiator who probably persuaded Eustace to take the job on a lowish wage with promises of future riches. Pasha is now in charge and has a very tight hold of the purse strings and, of course, he knows nothing about football. God knows how the interviews have gone so far but I am certain that minimal cost will be the priority for him. That's why I wouldn't be surprised if he sticks with Lowe.
  2. Great to get two wins since Eustace departed but we mustn't let that cloud the ongoing problems at the club. We need to keep the pressure on Pasha - it really gets to him. If he feels it's all getting too much, he may advise the owners to sell. We need a sustained anti-Pasha campaign even if results are going our way. Obviously, there is still a chance we could get promoted via the play-offs and the team need our support. However, if we don't, I can see the summer being an absolute disaster if pasha is still holding the purse strings and we have half the team out of contract or returning to their parent clubs. I think the slogan 'support the team not the regime' is perfect - well done to whoever came up with that one.
  3. Travis will line them all up in the car park at Brockhall and call names out one at a time. Last one to be picked goes in the nets
  4. He's a member of the Rovers Supporters London Branch. He joined as soon as he moved down there. Maybe they could persuade him to pose for a photo in said T shirt ?
  5. No point thinking about anything long term at this point. Appoint Edwards / O'Neill / Cooper on another 'journey' and we will have the same problems all over again in the summer. A motivator until the end of the season then take stock. Hopefully Venky's will decide enough is enough by then.
  6. Maybe he will become the first ever CEO/Head Coach. Venky's would love it - 2 jobs, one salary
  7. Suhail/Sheik/Pasha needs to be the target of the protests and slur campaigns. Waggott no longer makes any important decisions and is 70. He will be gone soon.
  8. Sadly, the owners won't care even if they did talk to Eustace. They will be rubbing their hands together at the thought of compensation payments for a manager they got for nothing.
  9. He may be after revenge. Keep us interested until the last minute and then decide to go elsewhere.
  10. I suggest you start a new thread where you can discuss our owners' fantastic decisions over recent years. I think you will be on your own
  11. I agree, Mowbray seemed as shocked as anyone
  12. I was there also - it was Welling Utd in south London. A great day out apart from a few Charlton fans trying to cause trouble.
  13. It's revenge for the snowball. They have now beaten the 14 year record set by The Count of Monte Cristo. If they are not satisfied soon then they are just plain evil.
  14. Categorically ? And, no, I don't understand that logic at all. Does it follow that you can't be a fan of Rovers and not a fan of Venky's ?
  15. It is bizarre that you can't differentiate between the club (Blackburn Rovers) and the owners (Venky's). One day soon you may finally understand.
  16. I think you will find that the term 'critical friend' is referring to the club not the owners. Not bizarre at all.
  17. Same shit different season. I think we all saw this coming.
  18. Someone please send them a fax stating Rovers have been promoted. They are that far removed from what is going on at the club they will probably believe it.
  19. Our parachute payments went into the pockets of Danny Murphy, Dixon Etuhu , Leon Best , a lot of agents and probably Steve Kean
  20. In terms of opportunity to spend in this window, Rovers could match Sheff Utd if the owners wanted to. Our owners are unimaginably wealthy, we have a massive FFP opportunity right now which will soon dwindle away due to the rolling 3 year rule. We could buy 5 really good players this window and be within the allowed spending limit for the current FFP period. It's not a matter of having more cash it's a matter of having more ambition/interest/willingness/love for the club.
  21. Not the point being made is it? If the manager wanted him and he ended up at Oxford ( in the summer ) it is evidence that the manager does not have the backing of the board / owners
