  1. Makes no difference. If we get money for a player it just means Venky's send less money for the gas bills. I'd rather keep him for a year and force Venky's to get their wallet out.
  2. Nothing against the colour as such but probably a standard Macron shirt colour and somebody has come up with a dubious link to the town crest which nobody would have spotted if they hadn't mentioned it. Nothing 150ish about it. And a white rose !! Very forgettable shirt
  3. I am actually amazed that ticket sales are so high after 15 years of occupation.
  4. I notice that another affidavit was submitted on Thursday and some 'documents' submitted on Friday. So it is not following the usual or expected pattern. Maybe the first affidavit was not accepted ? No official news from the club or evidence on companies house that funds have been received as recently. A job for @wilsdenrover to investigate ?
  5. Can we be certain that the affidavit is related to a payment ? Nothing showing on companies house regarding a new share allotment. There are other affidavits listed against the case which don't coincide with payments and some that do.
  6. I don't think they will sack him either but I know he really flaps under pressure and hates publicity. He may decide he's had enough if he gest plenty of flak publicly.
  7. Totally different situation. Waggott was due to go soon and had very little recent contact with the owners and very little influence over the past 12 months or so. I think Venky's lost faith in him a while ago. Pasha is the one who feeds all the false positives back to India. They rely on him totally. He is the one who is driving the cost cutting, aiming to sell any asset worth a few bob and telling the owners all will be well. They will not sack Pasha but he hates any public exposure. If we can keep up the pressure on him personally to a point where he decides he has had enough and he resigns, it could mean Venky's would have to become more directly involved and possibly make them realise what a shit show it really is. They may not care too much, but getting rid of Pasha would cause far more problems for them than getting rid of Waggott.
  8. Venky's wont care, They will take anyone's filthy lucre if saves them sending funds over.
  9. The current state of affairs is that Venky's are not sending any money. If they do decide to send more money, the more it will cost them in bonds that they may never get back. Venky's will be getting to the point where they desperately want a conclusion to the investigation or they will be forced into a corner. The last thing they want is for the current situation to drag on..
  10. We have billionaire owners and massive FFP leeway. Why aren't we pay millions of pounds and guarantee quality? Venky's out. Not a dig at you M_B because we have nearly all been battered into submission by 15 years of occupation.
  11. The ED investigation will be concerned with all Venky's activities of which Rovers are a part. Rovers get mentioned regularly in the court cases. Even if the initial trigger for the investigation was not Rovers related, they still need to go to court every time they need to fund the club. See below from last week's case. 26.05.2025 O R D E R 1. The present application has been filed by the petitioner seeking that the petitioner be allowed to remit a sum of GBP 4,850,000 to its wholly owned subsidiary, namely Venky’s London Limited, situated in London, United Kingdom. CM APPL.23948/2025 (for directions) 2. It is submitted that the petitioner has received a communication dated 26.03.2025 from the Chief Financial Officer of Blackburn Rovers Football Club, which is owned by the abovementioned wholly owned subsidiary of the petitioner.
  12. Whether they intended it or not, we have comparatively few assets left in the playing squad. The club no longer owns the training ground - another asset we will never get back. They have also stripped the club of half it's supporters, a lot of it's respect and all it's credibility.
  13. Fashionably late. The party hasn't even started
  14. Funny how we refused to offer Batth a 2 year deal 2 years ago and now we are desperate for him to stay for what would have been a third season if he signed first time around. False economy as usual. I suspect one phone call from John Eustace and he will be gone.
  15. Venky's don't have enough interest to get involved and spend time looking for a 'better' COO. They are happy to have someone at Ewood taking the flak for them. If Pasha leaves, it will only be because he decides to. He would probably recommend one of his Kentaro/SEM mates as his replacement and Venky's would just go along with it.
  16. What is the Fan's Forum take on the coalition out of interest? Are they in or out ?
  17. It also coincides with the need for quick cash. It is cost saving as much as anything else. Rudy steps up and the owners save £300,000a year
  18. Exactly. Waggott has had no clout for quite a while now. They are getting rid of him to save money. Nothing will change any time soon.
  19. It's almost certainly going to be Gestede with all the experience he gained from shadowing Waggott for 6 months !!
  20. This is cost cutting. Although Pasha and Waggott didn't get on particularly, SW acted as a shield for Pasha and he performed that role very well - to the benefit of Pasha and the owners, not the club. In terms of decision making, SW has been sidelined for the last 12 months with Pasha, Sufi and Gestede being the ruling gang. So possible scenario ( with added 'conspiracy theory' comments ) Pasha ( former Kentaro/SEM) COO Gestede ( recently played for S Kean in Australia ) CEO Adam Owen ( recently worked with S Kean at Hibs ) Head of Football operations
  21. Palace in Europe so I hope Adam decides to stay for another season. That would prevent Venky's getting another immediate windfall to flush down the toilet. They can then use the famous 'no impediment' route to fund the club.
  22. Are they likely to sell any after the deadline anyway?
  23. Ollie has summed up my feelings. From the outside looking in, it may appear we had a decent season but it was a golden opportunity deliberately ignored. Somehow, the stars seemed to have aligned: A good manager getting the best out of the players available. Top 6 in January making the club an attractive prospect for decent players. A FFP position which would allow many millions of pounds to be invested into the playing side without the fear of reprisals. Billionaire owners with 'no impediment' to funding the club to their hearts' desire. How did it play out? The manager decided to walk away. No money was spent to strengthen the squad. The COO advised the owners that no money was required. No money was provided. Form dipped. Opportunity thrown away. First team players once again leaving for (virtually) free. Rudy Gestede, with no experience at all, rolled out to face the public with more excuses. The advantageous FFP position gained by selling our best players will soon be gone due to the rolling 3 year rule. The owners have no interest at all. I would rather have owners with no money but plenty of enthusiasm. In August and in January, WATR board members offered to fly out to India, at their own expense, in order to talk to the owners and attempt to make them realise that the current self financing ideology is doomed to failure and ( in January ) explain the golden opportunity that had transpired this season. On both occasions they refused the proposal stating that they didn't need to consult with fans or fan organisations. They are cowards. They listen only to Pasha who has no mandate other than reducing costs. The only way to make them take notice is by hitting them in the pocket. NAPM
  24. Serves them right for being dishonest and avoiding tax in the first place. It's all of their own making.
