I still don't feel any reassurance that you are 'one of us' rather than 'one of them'. In fact I'm even more convinced that you are a mouthpiece for the dark forces that are running ruining our club. It would be more interesting if you did just come out with the truth about your interest in the club and the message board, so that a real dialogue could take place. But hey ho, you can just carry on posting pro-establishment guff, and reinforcing the impression that you are a stooge. No worries ;)

'One of us' after 17 posts? Are you 'seasoned' enough to be so strident? Who are you really. What's your agenda etc etc Out yourself dear boy. This won't stand!!

I am him. I joined this message board 3 years ago as I knew I would be DOF here in 2017. None of you suckers had a clue.

It's 6 years according to your profile. To even know you would one day become Rovers Director of Football shows a foresight that actually makes you instantly the most respected poster on the site. However, you still have to agree with the 'seasoned' posters and site 'stalwarts'. This isn't the place for discussion, just agreement with the prevailing view. Or else.

Some Wolves fans aren't happy with Lambert at all, but that is very similar to people on here having a go at Mowbray after 4 days in the job

Gav, Some Wolves fans aren't happy with Lambert at all. But Some are tho. Think I time to judge is next season with Lambert. He needs a full pre season to put all of his methods in place. Look at Monk at Leeds who has a full pre season with them That's when you can put your full ideas across to the players and have a style of play that you want and make signings around that

He has talk sense since day 1. He has tried to put some ideas into place and I'm looking forward to see these further out into place.

I think Mowbray will bring in gk coach shortly as we don't have one and academy gk coach Ben Benson took the GK warm ups.

I shouldn't really ask but I'm intrigued to know. How is Nixon taking the Coyle sacking, and what's his opinion on TM? I don't have access to his twitter.

People talking with great authority about stuff they know nowt about as per usual.

I'm surrounded by Wolves fans where I live and in the main theyre happy with Lambert, and realise he needs more than a few weeks to turn things around.

The bunkum posted about Mowbray last night was some of the biggest load of cr@p I've ever read on here and I've read some right nonsense over the years.

Give the guy a bleedin chance!

That's not proof that he's a good manager, because he isn't. I very much doubt they are happy with 5 defeats out of the last 6. Their messageboards suggest they aren't. Maybe the people you speak to are Baggies. Or you've invented them. You did similar with Pompey fans you apparently knew, saying they were 'having a ball' in League 2.

Didn't take Warnock long to turn things around. He hasn't had the luxury of spending £13m on a winger either.

    Must do better 'sunshine'.

"I’m hoping that I can resolve that, but I still want to attack and try and score goals. I need to make sure that if we’re attacking we’ve still got the back door shut and we have players whose job it is to not go past the ball and to protect the team from a counter-attack. Over a period of time we can do some more extensive work and I will drill them and drill them on what I expect and where I expect them to be on a football pitch.

“I see modern football as a positional game, how to fill spaces on the pitch, how many men to commit forward, how many players to defend with, when do you gamble and when do you use your game management, so I want them to learn. From what I can see in their eyes, some of it is new to them, which is always good, and I hope they take to it"

A sad indictment of the 'outstanding candidate'. At least this fella sounds like a football club manager.

Blackburn Rovers won't be relegated as Blackburn Rovers no longer exist. They were infected with a parasite 6 years ago and it has complety hollowed out its host. It may look like Blackburn Rovers but that club died quite a while ago.

All we can cling to is the hope that some DNA still exists and one day it will flicker back to life.

As for the "give him a chance" brigade. You make me sick. He deserves no chance. Nobody at the club deserves anything bar contempt and criticism.

Yeah, right on brother. Tea Lady OUT!

  7. This stands out from the above article:-

"That’s what I hope will happen at this club: the owners will see a young, exciting team who get beaten every now and then. The way I play we get beaten 3-0, 4-0 sometimes, because at 1-0 we gamble to get a goal back. Other times we’ll win 5-0 and the fans will go home thinking ‘wow’. Then they’ll go to the pub and say ‘what a team’ and the guys they go drinking with will come along to the next game"

I hope he doesn't come out with this stuff here. It's almost Coyle-esque. It also doesn't give much hope he can sort out a defence. Apparently not his strong point.

Free agent, career at an all-time low, but once got promoted to the Prem many years ago. Ticks all the Venky boxes.

  8. Well it's not the worst appointment imaginable, which is about the best you can hope for under Venkies.

He isn't tainted in the same way Coyle was by agents etc and he does try to play good football.

All that matters really is if he keeps us up.

A firend of a friend worked for him at Boro. Said he was as nice a bloke as you could ever wish to meet. A proper decent individual with integrity.

Welcome to the madhouse Tony and wishing you the best of luck.

  9. Have a look at the goals against column , Goalkeeper , defence and midfield are not championship standard ....We are capable of scoring goals , we have this squad til Jan , relegation will follow !

That's the problem, we're not. We've scored 1 goal in the last 5 games. We've scored 12 in 12 games. 8 of those came against Burton, Rotherham and Derby. That 4 goals scored in the other 9 games.

We have a snake oil salesman in charge of our team. Promises attacking football and delivers the opposite. Our owners have been fooled again by a Scottish accent and a nice line in patter.

  10. WAR will get all misty-eyed looking up to Big Baz in the Directors box when Elton cranks it up to eleven on the ballad-ometer:-
What I got to do to make you love me?
What I got to do to make you care?
What do I do when lightning strikes me?
And I wake to find that you're not there
What I do to make you want me?
What I got to do to be heard?
What do I say when it's all over?
Sorry seems to be the hardest word
It's sad, so sad, why can't we talk it over?
