He is more a Rover than Souey ever was, and what a man!
Dont really agree with that. I loved souey when he was with us, even in his final full season with us and im certain most rovers fans did(every game there were sooounes chants). And im sure he still holds Rovers close to his heart. I was gutted when he left us but he did fully deserve the stick he got when he came back to ewood. I doubt we would be in the premiership now if it wasnt for souness.
Hughes has had 1 good season with us now- but no way has he over-taken Souness in the list of greatest ever rovers managers

Sorry folks, I've removed my post - second thoughts about putting it on here.
PS - the reply to my sister's email was genuine but we probably shouldn't have put it on here. Apologies to the subsequent posters who've referred to it.
Ginger-can i just ask who was the reporter who gave the reply?
it is quite important if anyone remembers as Im in the middle of a debate with Tim Williams and i just want to know if he was the guy to send the reply as i think it was him. Because he's changed his story since that reply

What has it got to do with those carrot crunchers. Maybe they should stick to their own news on how many times they av shagged their own sisters"
-
oooo, he he he.
Looks like the Saints are off to play at Kenilworth Road next season
-
Well as long as it aint John Williams. After all the positive things he's said about Hughes and the team in recent weeks. That really would be a kick in the teeth.
-
but, it could be the best atmosphere of the season at ewood in the league!
p.s GUESS WHAT!! Lawro has predicted a 2-1 win for PALACE!
-
well yesterday Alvin Martin was saying that the police should be called in for Toddys 'attack'.
Well if they are called in, i hope Toddy tries to get the prick done for saying he did something he did not do

I'm amazed at the press today and foolishly a little upset by it. What really jars is the double standards. Remember Bergkamp's elbows two seasons running on Nisa? And the inciddent at Old Trafford following the penalty miss a couple years back? Now that was something to be ashamed of. I'm sure I'm not alone in totally bemused by the level of press hyperbole, considering we were playing the most of cynical premiership teams. And calling it antii-football! Well bring it on if in means we get to rattle the efette (sp?) cages for another season.
exactly how i feel.
I really dont give a crap about what the media say. I actually find it very funny that people get so offended by it. I love the tag of bully boys and it just makes me love Blackburn Rovers so much more.
Im sure we'll beat Palace on Wednesday and we'll once again be praised by people in the media.
We aint the first team to be called boring and dirty in the history of football. I mean, i wasnt born but didnt Leeds win the title one year by being nasty?

The geordies "open" style of play made for an ever so exciting game.
O.K. - it was a stroll in the park for the mancs but at least we did not see any of our favourite stars getting stuck in or being kicked.
The lack of any competition whatsoever was a joy to behold.
A hammering of the minnows by b.b.c. united !!
Much better than the over competitive stuff that we had to endure yesterday.
If I were a geordie I would be much prouder of my team today than I am of ours.
erm.... proud of a team that cost around £60m to put together and have an average wage of £40,000 a week.
i think not
-
Dont get to fussed about it guys n girls. Nobody will remember it after wednesdays games.
And no way did Todd mean to elbow him. And even if he did...........who gives a ######. I would have punched the little bender after his camp celebration at ewood.
'IM ROVERS TILL I DIE, O IM ROVERS TILL I DIE, I KNOW I AM, IM SURE I AM, IM ROVERS TILL I DIE!'

Excellent preview, very well written.
If we play as well as we did today we should get at least a draw. If we win it will put all relegation fears down, allow us to possibly leapfrog Brum with a game in hand and give us a look at a possible mid table finish.
Team I would go for:
Stead
Pedersen Emerton
Savage Reid
Moko
Matteo Nelsen Todd Niell
Friedel
It is possible that Hughes will stick with Dickov and Thompson but I think a couple of changes would do us good.
i'd stick with Dickov. He was one of our better players yesterday. But i agree with playing Sav and Emo. We looked so much better IMO, when they came on.
and BTW- for those you could'nt be arsed to go yesterday-you better go on wednesdat

Had to smile at the signing drunk/tramp outside gate 2/3. Anyone else see him?
I seen him!
He was singin `Liverpool, Liverpool, Liverpool"
I told Liverpool weren`t playing today, and after a brief pause, he continued "Liverpool, Liverpool, Liverpool..."
I got my photo taken with him. He effin stunk of ###### though! Anyone see a 4ft Jim Royle lookalike handing out leaflets and a man making bird noices trying to sell something.
btw, the reason why the press are so against Rovers is because of Mark Hughes having a go at them all last week.
When we beat Palace on Wednesday, the press will once again jump on the rovers bandwagon and say how good we are. Just like they did in the lead up to yesterdays game.
Anyway, not too gutted. I bet the people who let our club down are more gutted than those who did go.
And who were the lucky people who got robbie savages shirt in the warm down about 30mins after the game finished

off to bed now!
Good night Guys

Well I dont really like Amo aswell and believe we should get rid A.S.A.P. But he was one of the major factors we stayed up last season when he returned to the team. And im pretty sure that we usually won or drew in the games Amo played? But there's one thing I'll never forget was in the Villa game at ewood this season when he took about 5 goes to head a simple ball away(anyone else remember that?)
And about Thompson- i know he's been poor since he returned but i dont think we should get rid of him. He showed in that game away to Everton that he still hasnt lost it yet.

guess so. Put the midgets in the luggage shelves, it'll be cushdy
-
But around 5,000 people does not go into 4 trains
-
I've read it on a couple of Arsenal forums and also people have been saying it on here. Apparetly arse fans have rung up great western trains and been told there would be no way you can get on a train from paddington to cardiff at either 7:23, 8:00, 8:08 or 9:00 unless you have reserved a seat. And they have been booked up since 3 weeks ago.
Just complain to the station you got you tickets from and get a refund. Take the megabus.
-
Ive heard the kick-off time could be delayed due to the train problem in London. Thousands have bought there tickets and will be turned down because they need to reserve seats. and none of the FOUR saturday morning ones have any seats left
so it could be 15,000 on each side!!
-
williams said that on his rovers world interview on Thurday.
Keep up old man
-
i thought after a certain date, which has now past, you cannot get bans for yellow cards.
-
12,000 so far according to LET. Cant see more than 15,000 going.
Scoreline - we will lose 2-0, I really cant see us scoring. We have become (hard to say, really is) the..... Burnley of the Premiership...... there I said it!!!!
no offence mate but...
you are a PRICK!
There ya go, best ever post on this forum ever.
-
Feel only option is to boycott the game.
I think you mean to say that you cannot be arsed to wake up early and pay a little extra
But no doubt you'll be one of those people trying to get the 18k Cup final tickets and take it from those who can be botherd to go for the semie
-
The saints official site are saying how the 2,200 saints fan will try to create a 'party atmosphere'.
good luck
