  1. ever since everton tapped him up over 18 months ago he hasnt been the same player, his consistency and work rate have been in question

Does every club trying to buy Savage get the tapped-him-up label??

    laugh.gif

Also, i wonder how Birmingham actually got Steve Bruce. Wasnt he under contract at another club when he went to you lot.

Also, it must be a pretty dull club to support Birmingham. Never won anything, and never will. Pretty dire TBH. I mean, 2 best ever Brum players according to their David Brent look-a-like chairman, are Dugarry and Savage. JESUS, you must have seen some sh*t down the years

  2. Everytime things begin to look up for us,we get dealt a big blow.

We finished 6th and Duffer left.

We saved ourselves from relegation,Cole was sold.

Now,we are picking up form and Bazza is set to leave.

All this not to mention Shearer leaving us in a pissspoor time.

does it not occur to you that since we signed Ferguson, things have got worse

  3. Back to Savage....

He did not play in Brums reserve game tonight.

Either, after all the humiliating things Brum said to him they are going to forgive him rolleyes.gif and he'll be playing on Saturday.

or, Rovers have made a new bid. dry.gif

  4. Playing in front of 7000 against Cardiff as opposed to 45000 at Ibrox isnt much of a choice, is it?

No, because playing East Fife away in the cup is such a great experience aint it blink.gif

Also, he gets to play against the greatest teams in the world and in the greatest stadiums in this country.

If he does want to go(which i doubt) then the guy really does lack ambition. Unless he does have family problems

  5. This is what a Cardiff fan thought of the game:

Right then just got back and i'm a bit 50-50 we done enough in the first 70 minutes to get a win i'd say, the last 20 we were dominated and Blackburns class showed then. But for the first 70 we were the better side and may have come off slightly unhappier with the end result.

Blackburn had a cracking start when they went one up good finish from MGP. An then everyone wondered how we would react on our little 4 game unbeaten run we're on we haden't gone behind so everyone was a bit nervous about what would happen.

We needen't of worried to be honest as we started to come right backinto the game and were in complete control for periods, we fineally got a deserved equaliser after a few missed half chances thanks to Alan Lee/brad Friedal own goal whatever it was it doesn't make no difference. Blackburn at this time were being ripped apart by Mcanuff and thier little of tactic of smashing him off the ball got what it deserved with 3 yellow cards dished out to the Balckburn defence, Paul Dickov as noral tried to ###### everyone off with his little time wasting tactics but he was getting incresinly frustrated and abused as the game went on, oh well no-one likes the little t**t so good enough for him. Shortly after the goal Gabbidon had a cracker of a chance but couldn't make contact from about 2 yards out. But once the half time whistle went we were on top and Blackburn were the more relived to hear the whistle.

Langley went off at half time to be replaced by bullock must have been injured as he was playing fine if you ask me, and Bullock duley went about and got stuck into about half te Blackburn side with very tough but fair challanges. Inamoto had a good long range effort spilled by friedal and Kav unleased a belter from range as well, Blackburn then had a goal chalked off because of an apprent foul on Warner i think, to be fair.....it could have goen either way and they have every right to feel aggrived but i'm not going to lose sleep over it  it was even better when Dickov was the one who eventually stuck it in, he soon lost the little smile on his face. Alan Lee then went close as he was inches away from turning in a cross shot by jerome. Then Thorney came on for Alan lee, but from then on Blackburn dominated but our defence stood firm with Warner onlty having to make one real stop and it was a cracker of a save from Dickov's shot, once again our defence come up trumps

  6. Less said about the ref the better.

    Looking forward to ewood?

I thought the English ref was good for once, but what do I know, eh?

Am I looking forward to Ewood? Not really... mellow.gif No offence to you lot, but this tie doesn't exactly have 'glamour' written all over it from our side of the Severn either. We've got bigger matches to prepare for, like shooting up the Championship and the mighty Bangor City away in the FAW Premier Cup!

A quiz question though: you last won this cup in 1928, which side won it the year before you? biggrin.gif

And you think we're looking forward to it!

expect a 7,000 gate, at most!

  7. Decent result. I was listening to rovers on Radio Wales on digital tv- quite possibly the worst commentators ever! They didn't have a clue about our players nor Cardiffs. They kept talking about how poor rovers were one min, then 30secs later they started saying what a quality side we were. They also said that Friedel was a poor keeper and is getting to old. Also, is Dickov injured because they said he looked it when he came off. Also, after every players name who had the ball at the time, they would say his nationality-###### me right off.

  8. I'm absolutely against savage coming to the club, he isn't quality and at the moment we need to build upon our squad and not bring in crap! i think he will think he is bigger than the club and just playing for robbie savage and not for blackburn rovers. any way he is only coming for the money and to me that's not important, fans want to see the paul dickov's and the andy todd's who are on top of their games and they put in 100% every game not when it suits them like savage! I cant stand the bloke hes an arrogant @#/?!

    ...........SHUT UP!

If there is one thing you can't ever accuse Savage of it's lack of commitment on the pitch. Ok, he's an arrogant sod with even girlier hair than me, but uncommitted? What @#/?.

sorry, but skip is correct about Savage sometimes lacking commitment. In the game against Newcastle, he put in no effort according to reports.

And hes showing a lack of commitment to Brum by wanting to leave just for money.

But, i do think he has quality and is a slight improvement on Flitcroft. Although he's not much younger. A fee of £2m is fair.

  9. Its breaking news on sky sports news now

But I've heard he's agreed to join Everton- thats from a mate who spoke to that fat american/italian bloke from talksport

  10. People being far too negative on here. dry.gif

We were a great team a few days back, now we are so bad that we are gunna get a hammering from Charlton according to some. If we had held on for 2mins to get a point against the villa, Im sure peoples thoughts on our team would have been different.

Anyway, i got a feeling Emerton will have a great match after admitting it was his fault we lost to villa. I would play Thompson and give Reid a rest and play Gally up with Dickov

    Rovers 2-1 Charlton

    Emerton (30) Euell (66)

    Dickov (71)

    ATT: 21,265

  11. well he said his quotes were taken out of context and he is only moving house and said nothing about leaving Birmingham City fc. He also said that he loved playing for Brum but does have personal problems, and is moving house, thats all!
