  1. Even if Steven Reid is played instead of MGP, I hope Hughes plays Emerton on the right wing because that is obviously where he plays the best.

actually no. Emerton told soccer saturday 2 weeks back that he prefered playing on the left as he could come in onto his right side. He said he also thinks he plays better on the left

  2. This will be one bad boring game- a terrible advert for trying to bring the TV watchers to Ewood. Quite possibly a sub-20,000 crowd as well.

Brum have managed just 8 goals all season and we have scored 9. Unlike us, Brum don't conceed many either.

This is the long over due 0-0. We will have to wait a bit longer for the second win of the season.

11 goals actually. Still not enough though

  3. I can only see Rovers winning TBH. Brum were very poor against Everton I thought, they created nothing apart from a chance for Dwight Yorke in the last min, which not unlike him, he missed!(watch him score against us now)

anyway, as long as Rovers keep the same team apart from the injured Stead.Who should be replaced by Matt Jansen, i really do fell rovers will win easy.

  4. Hughes must be crapping himself about this one. If MGP has a stormer of a game he'll be under pressure to pick him and that would spell an end to his bid to avoid the appearance fee.

    Aye.

Would be well funny if Morten has a stormer (as last match) and with the fact that REID sucked yesterday. If Hughes treated them equally, Reid would be benched after one bad match, as Morten was.

Actually - the last match played for Rovers he scored. The last match he played for Norway - he was very very good.

And no, no appearance fees comes after 4 matches. But maybe 10, maybe 15, maybe 25.

But the fact to the matter is, if Morten gets a chance, and plays very well, Hughes will actually be forced (more than now) to play him more. The money he will have to pay to Tromso is probably money he can use for christmas-shopping.

I see NO OTHER reason to why he does not get a chance.

PS. Stig Inge Bjørnebye (norwegian asst. manager) is flying in to talk to Hughes about Morten in the end of this month. We're not the only one surprised.

    ###### of mate- Go make babies with Morten Pedersen if you love him so much.

Face it, the guy is pants as the moment, he aint good enough for the premiership.

Oooow, one of the clubs worst left backs ever Stig Inge Bjørnebye is coming to have word with sparky. Because stig really does know a good player when he see's one.

  5. Le Chuck's match summary reflects my view on the game.

A solid performance - win your home matches , draw your aways!

Couple of surprising positives- Matt Jansen- looked back to his best

and Mark Clattenburg- looks like a top ref (said it before the penalty), along with Peter Walton the standard of new refs appears encouraging!

If you were on the chat room before the start of the game, you would have seen me say that Mr Clatternburg was a good ref. biggrin.gif

  6. Despite the recent determination to earn a draw and the fact we got one of those penalty-things we've heard about at other clubs, the fact is we have to be beating sides like Norwich and Man.City. Once again Paul Dickov seems to be the only forward proving himself and getting goals but we desperately need a victory and to stop going a goal behind and giving ourselves more work to do.

Some may not like Rodney Marsh but he did actually hit upon a few things. We may have been fighting and earning a few draws here and there but we are still a very dissapointing side and we need victories.

We're not friggin Chelsea, we cant expect to win every time we play.

You say we are a 'dissapointing side' whatever the hell that means, then you should know that anything we get away from ewood is a bonus.

You also have to remember the likes of Norwich and Man City are expecting to beat us and we are probably considered the worst team in the pemiership to other fans.

  7. Message for John here!

Are you actually for or against the sacking of TP because your posts seem to suggest you keep on changing which side you are on.

1st you say its time to move on, next its a disgrace now its I see Mark Hughes point

  8. But Greggy, as super-Blackburn-based-RoversFan, you should have been there!! tongue.gif

(While we're on the topic of sarcastic stick.)

Look cool.gif In that post, I was totally miss quoted.

I was actually saying that I feel that people who dont watch rovers games (either on tv or live at the match)very often, should not be having a pop at the players if they are only going on what people say on this board. I mean, how can you criticize something you have not seen. You must have your own opinions and not others. And it is usually the foreign rovers fans who probably dont get to watch rovers on tv alot.

    anyway.........

  9. Norwich's point at Man City tonight means we are bottom again.

Norwich impressed me tonight  and look ready to gain their first victory of the season against us.

    Norwich 2 Rovers 1

    what!

    Norwich impressed you!

I thought it was a dire match with 2 poor teams. Norwich had 1 real shot on target and that was the goal, 12 seconds into the 2nd half.

If you find that impressive Jim, then how come Rovers dont look like Arsenal when we play in you eyes
