  1. 75 eng caps, over 100 premier league clean sheets, 4golden glove awards, premier league winner...............but yeah he cant save anything to his left
  2. There isnt much wrong with harts passing or kicking, it just wasnt the level pep wanted for the tactics he wanted. Lets be honest citys keeper is better than most midfeild players with the ball at his feet
  3. Pep didnt want hart. He wanted to play out from the back more and wnated a keeper better with his feet and he ousted hart. Clearly for a youngman that had been trending upwards his whole life, he didnt respond well to the suprise knocking and he has lost something But even at 90-95% of his former self he would be the best keeper in this league
  4. Football is a funny game. If pep doesnt come to city then Hart would probably still be city and england #1 He'd also be well on pace to be englands most capped player as many thought he would be whilst firmly #1 And now here we are with some fans not happy we may or may not sign him. Pep's desire for a different type of keeper really knocked his ego and confidence and he has lost his way. The reward if you can rebuild that confidence is really high. We could have a really world class keeper on our hands
  5. Its a genuine worry as for me he is the first name on the team sheet. He is key for everything we try to do tactically. We always say stop dack and you stop rovers, but I always think the key to stopping dack is stopping graham. If the opposition centre half gets the better of Graham, then dack struggles to get into the game
  6. He's been great for us, but Graham doesnt strike me as a model pro who has looked after his body his whole career. A lot of players his age drop off a cliff performance wise in a very short period of time. The legs just go and they suddenly look a shadow of their former selves. Lets hope he has 1 more really good year in him, but I guess TM is worried he doesnt if we sign gally for big money
  7. Sadly Fulham, Boro and Brighton and most definatley up a level from us You may be right with the re-invest, but time will tell I guess
  8. Dack is leaving at some point. We all know that. Enjoy him why he's here and wish him well when he moves up a level at some point Then re-invest the big wedge of cash wisely
  9. I think our only signings now need to be in the back 4 and GK. We have plenty options and cover accross all mid and att positions now. We could do with shipping some out perma and on loan, but thats a work in progress I guess. So we need bare minimum a goalkeeper. Pretty well need a good centre back In an ideal world we could do with 1 or 2 full backs who would start in the best 11 also
  10. Depends what your take is on 3 at the back. The clubs that are succesful with it tend to play full backs at the outer 2 and a proper centre half in the middle. So we'd be more Williams, Lenihan, Nyambe kinda setup. If not saying thats a good 3, just it explains his lack of signings at centre half. Explains why he seems to prefer wing back type full backs etc
  11. I have thought it for a while and so far this window doesnt change my view. His signings always seem like he wants to change to 3 at the back. He has had his various dabbles at it, but never commits to it. If we played 3 at the back I could understand all his dealings a little more. 4 strikers in DG, SG, BB and AA is a good mix competing for 2 spots up front over the course of a season. I just wish if that is his plan he would just crack on with it and take the lumps that will come with the change. Just seems like he doesnt know wether to stick or twist with our tactics
  12. Worried I got excited, or worried about hart? We cant really do any better than Hart. You can argue the cost and is the money worth it, but for ability and experience, we simply cant do better
  13. If thats true it will certainly devide opinion on here, but damm its a fair statement of intent if we do. Get an arm around him and rebuild his confidence and we have a world class goalie far to good for this level
  14. Well if they are talking 70mil for Lukaku, then shearer is worth at least 3 billion quid in todays market
  15. lol true, but that shows how bad we are at corners that he effecivley shoots everytime he takes one
  16. I'd leave Mulgrew out just so he cant take corners. Drives me bonkers having our centre half whip corners in every game to a team full of midgets
  17. You can asign goals to every defender. Lenihan certainly has his fair share to. Im not saying williams is a starter, I just said imo he is ahead of mulgrew at this stage. Id still rather it is Lenihan plus a new signing back there
  18. TBH I think williams is ahead of mulgrew now. Not a fan of williams at LB, but I dont think he has ever really let us down much at centre back. Thought we finished last season quite well with him and Lenihan as the pair.
  19. There is almost 4 weeks left yet isnt there in this window? Thats a life time really when you consider how late everything seems to happen these days in these windows. Its not ideal but its the way things work these days. Loads more players become available in the next week or two as they realise in pre season they arent in the first team picture and they start looking elsewhere. Premier league teams start looking to loan out players soon as they set their final squads.
  20. I quite like gallagher, but we only play 1 up top 95% of the time. So signing him is a public admission that BB isnt up to it this year either. If TM trusted BB to kick on this year, we wouldnt be looking at Gallagher.
  21. Defending is more mindset than ability. Bell has ability he just doesnt have the mindset and fire in him. Always looks like he has munched a bag full of beta blockers before a game
  22. For whats is worth, which is usually very little. Nixon just tweeted this Alan Nixon‏ @reluctantnicko 42s42 seconds ago Wigan. Backing away from Sam Gallagher deal. Wages and fee too rich for them in end. Blackburn clear run for him as it stands.
  23. Thats a fair point. We dont know what he's been doing to be fair, but I'd imagine TM does. If he still wants to sign him then he must be happy with the situation. TM seems to value graft above any other attribue really, so I cant imagine him wanting rodwell if he doubted his desire
