    Abso- bloody-lutely.

There's also a balancing act to be considered.......with the exception of Bournemouth's 'naughty' bid in January for Rothwell, which even though it was declined, has had the desired effect that Rothwell's form has fallen off a cliff by comparison with what went before, there has been NO interest whatsoever in Darragh or Rhino.

Their decisions not to sign improved deals could seriously bite both theirs, and their agents, back on the arse!

Can you imagine how the committed players (like Kaminski, Wharton, Travis etc) feel with a £10 million pot on the table for promotion likely to go up in smoke?!

I'm struggling to decide if you want him in or out?

On twitter you are making a massive case why he shouldnt be sacked, how his outburst was fatigue/out of character, yet on here stating categorically he should be potted.

Burning the candle at both ends and i'm none the wiser which it is?

I don't do Twitter, Instagram etc.....you've got the wrong guy mate!

For point of clarity, from what I've said on here, what do you think it is?

I'll spell it out for you just in case......O-U_T!

  3. Is this the Mowbray thread or have I got it wrong?..... and apologies if so.

Mowbray served a purpose initially, has long since outstayed his welcome, should have fallen on his sword some time since if he had the degree of personal integrity that we're all supposed to believe and alternatively, should have been 'potted' some time since if the 'powers that be' could see what we all have seen for months.

The final 'coup de grace' should have been promptly administered after the Stoke debacle, when someone in the JW Lower shouted the question of Mowbray, that he clearly heard: "What will you be doing at the end of the season Tony?"

    His reply was "Fucking Off".

    Enough said IMO.

Why is it about the cheapest solution? We’re owned by billionaires and already lose 20M a season… what’s 20.1M?

I sit in the Riverside… if you ask people 10 seats to my left and right to stand some will be happy with it, some will accept it, some aren’t fit enough to do it and some won’t renew because of it. The last thing a club in Rovers position should be doing is alienating fans by forcing initiatives on them they don’t want. There’s people around me that have had the same seat for 60 years and you’re suggesting it’s sensible to ask them to stand all game or move seats? Nonsense. There’s only two genuinely sensible solutions, both of which have problems:

    1) you create a ‘singing / standing’ section in no1 Blackburn End… on the basis most already stand, the singing culture encourages standing and this is damage limitation

    2) you create a new standing area in an unused section of the ground (the Darwen end) but risk splitting up the small vocal support which we do have.

I would be tempted to go with Opt 1 as it’s damage limitation.

    NIMBY!

For the record, I wouldn't bother at all, then nobody would be upset and no additional expenditure incurred.

  5. If nobody is ever set specific, time bound measures of success, how will anyone know if they are doing a good or a bad job?

The same principle applies throughout the club (or any viable business for that matter).

Without measures of success or failure, or a team plan of intentions, measured regularly, irrespective of whoever the team coach is, we've no chance of success!

Particularly when there is nobody to direct the traffic, set the objectives and ultimately 'pull the pin' either if necessary!

    It starts at the top!

You should speak to Yasir about point 2, he’s posting videos of you on Twitter and you certainly don’t have a straight face on them!

I wouldn't know, nor do I care tbh.

At least I can lie straight in bed with a clear conscience pal, and the thought I'm genuinely trying to do something positive for the club without any ulterior motive, eh?!

    No worries, here we go:

    1) We sign who we can afford to sign, the club was decimated financially because of COVID resulting in the owners having to buy the training ground off the club they already own. This club loses money every single day and therefore FFP restricts that. Arguably a strong CEO would find ways of generating more money to help this, ours seems to struggle.

    2) We go on a bad run because the manager is poor. It happens every year, repetitivenesses cannot be attributed to anything but poor leadership decisions.

    3) We play Johnson upfront because the manager has limited options and thinks it’s the best option. It isn’t the best option, as it was proved. Ignore all of the “I’m happy with my team”, he isn’t, if he was allowed to replace Gallagher he would have done, but he can’t say that.

    4) If you believe the club is a basket case, how on Earth can you sit in the posh lounges at Ewood on match day making Twitter videos with club management with a straight face? There’s a reason they don’t let the likes of Kamy and Glen Mullan swan around in there… and it’s not because they can’t afford it!

    1. I've previously been a "Riversider" for 49 years...my move to Jack's Kitchen was a point of necessity at the start of this season due to my disability.

    2. I don't do, never have, nor have any intentions to do Twitter or anything of that ilk. (with or without a straight face)

    3. I've called you, Kamy and the rest of your bunch out (not Glen) for reasons that you will be familiar.

    Leave it there eh?!

I can't find the post, but I said when we flogged him for a pittance he would go on to play for Spain and here we are..

I don't want to go over old ground, but whilst he had a few weaknesses his positive attributes far outweighed those. The guy was class and produced saves he had no right to make.  Sold one of our own for a pittance to a rival. Some of the worst business I've ever seen. It's not like he'd never played a game for us and was somewhat of an unknown quantity.  Raya had exhibited massive amounts of potential.  Absolutely sickening. That we have a downgrade in Kaminski that's fairly steady no makes it no less bitter of a pill to swallow. Shocking piece of business!

I'm generally with you and likewise predicted Raya was an international keeper in the making, even prior to him making his first team debut at Ewood.

The stage floor is yours Darren, if you can substantiate it then we’re all ears?

Sat second in the table mid January, with a chasm of a gap to 7th place and beyond, with 2 weeks left of the transfer window and we sign who?

We then go on a sequence of results predicted by most, culminating in last Tuesday's team selection, not withstanding asking Bradley Johnson to play in the most advanced role in the team, Mowbray then sits down at half time and lets Mark Venus take over in the technical area.

Can you honestly believe that BRFC are STILL such a basket case without any ulterior motive still perhaps being in play?

Sorry to disappoint but I can substantiate nothing, If I could I wouldn't on here.....I'd be intrigued to see your collective rationale in opposition however.... My lugs are pinned!

Why did we spend money on Hedges, was that signing a fever dream

A good friend of mine (A Rover who lives and hails from The Black Country) knows Ryan Hedges family very well. They are all bemused by how Rovers are playing him!

You could apply similar to several loanees over the past few years, FFS Tony, play players in the position that they are best suited!

Add both teams to score and should be 12/1

Assuming Mitrovich bags one? if PVH or Darragh hasn't already shunted him in the air in the first 5 minutes, what odds then?

Joking aside, if Dolan and Kahdra are up top, buzzing about like wasps, I fancy us to win 2-1.

Very irritatingly having passed on a number of volunteers Sky have now changed their schedule and won't be featuring some Rovers fans at Craven Cottage.

Haha, quelle surprise! (branleurs) pardon my French!

5.45 am set off from Darwen thanks to Sky!

Here's hoping Mitrovich cries off faced with PVH and Dolan and Kahdra terrorise their defence from the off,

Keep a clean sheet and we're gonna nick all 3 points.

    Come on You Blues!!!

  13. I fancy us to win at Craven Cottage (please Mercer don't agree with me!)

If we keep the same shape with Khadra and Dolan hunting down and defending from the front along with a finisher (Jack Vale?), I think we could surprise Fulham.

With 2 thousand plus Rovers following us, I predict a great day 'down the smoke'.

Yet another long day in prospect with a 6am start!

  14. I hope everyone that is/was planning to travel to Craven Cottage have already got their match tickets.

I noticed on the club website that they were not on sale but no reference was made otherwise. I've since made enquiries and apparently we've sold out our allocation of just short of 2,000, which is an absolutely fantastic effort considering the lunchtime kick off. London based Rovers are now buying tickets amongst the west London contingent.

We'll all be leaving home about 6am on the day and not getting home until whenever (again), courtesy of SKY TV.

I'm sure that's not lost on the team and I feel that if we replicate the effort, desire and commitment of Bramall Lane and Ewood yesterday, we'll be coming back from Fulham with 3 points.

    COYB!!!

Those kids are the future. They’ll want to be back after today.

Yes but what about St James, Darwen and Sudell Road School Darwen etc....do they not qualify similarly too?

I get the reasoning and rationale but surely it should be about integration and equality......this policy does not sit right with me but I understand the reasons for doing it.

It's either integration, equality or it's not.
