The game could have started with a "see how we go" or delayed for half hour. Instead it would appear that one man makes a decision that no one else agrees with.
I'll sit in the sunshine and wait to see what this CHAMPIONSHIP ref has to say.

Nothing to do with Rovers - that's the ref's call.
Yeah his call. But what can you expect from Championship referees.
-
Why wasn't it called off at 12. Someone wants to explain this because thousands are either at ewood or on their way.

Undersoil not switched on I would guess?
Don't think rules allow that.

What valuable information do you gain from a pitch inspection 3 hours before kick off?
Its all about safety to and from the ground as well. Not freezing but compact snow will cause safety concerns.

Shame.

Forecast is sleet & snow up to 3pm - massive snow fakes now. Does not look good for the game.

Snowing in Rochdale now, what’s it like in Blackburn ?

Sleet in Blackburn. Started with rain about 10am. Guess it depends on level of river. Higher the river and rain can't be properly drained away.
Updated: snowing now.

Well done Dolan. Wharton's outstanding.

Will that be a 3 game ban now? Big blow for them if their reserve keeper is as bad as ours.
Samba, who got sent off today, has played 119 games for NF in Championship since Aug 2019. Their second keeper Horvath only has 1 Championship game since signing from Club Brugge in July 2021 and although he has played a few Champions League games in his career, he was second choice with Brugge.

Current top two Fulham & Bournemouth will go up, no doubt about it. Agree with Butty some good results today. Our aim is the top six so a win against WBA will be a massive step.

Loads of points to win yet but cant see us getting to playoffs after last two games. Teams have sust us out.
-
Forest edged it assisted by a poor referee. But again if we'd have started game as we started second half the result could have gone our way. Can only put that down to Mowbray's inability to motivate from the start. Looks like we are in for one of those Februarys.

As for Rothwell............did nothing.

Can someone teach Wharton how to nod a ball back across goal.
Such a tall lad and wastes opportunities going for goal when the percentages are minimal.
Trouble is he's a defender and we aren't use to playing in opposition penalty area.

Shows have desperate we are for a striker. Started with fast-asleep centre forward Buckley and despite a poor half Mowbray continued.
False position in league. We'll not get in playoffs either. Preparing myself for a bad February.

This performance shows why we won't be going up.

Giles putting the ball in where we need it but lack of quality players to finish.

Buckley not at the game. Would have banged that one in normally but wasn't sharp enough or wasn't thinking. He's been booked so that will be on his mind. Need to take him off.

I will be absolutely fucking furious with that. I wouldn't sell for 3 million to a team that don't directly compete with us, let alone to the main fucking team we are competing with right now!!! If Mowbray forces the owners to accept that he has gone right back to being a fucking moron.
Better have an exceptional replacement lined up.
I'm furious too but the way they are set up it would be £3m plus add ons if the get to premiership.

Always difficult not knowing Rothwell as a person or being in the same room and hearing both sides of the conversation when TM's having his managerial chat, so we can't be certain he will knuckle down. Probably already been said but we don't want a Duffy situation. At the moment Rothwell's an unwanted distraction. He probably hasn't trained for a while, hasn't been with any other Rovers players and will be listening/thinking about others such as Duffy & Raya who left to premiership clubs.
Just hope this gets sorted quickly and if he stays he does knuckle down or if he goes we get welcome replacements and not end-of-transfer-window casualties. In Tony we trust, we have to.

In fairness to Waggott he gave a good interview minutes after game called off. Club has lost out financially but more import is a game was called off with thousands at the ground.
