1. As far as the world cup is concerned ive not bothered trying to get tickets. Just gonna head over there, soak up the atmosphere and watch the games in Bars.

  2. huh  rolleyes.gif whats that meant to mean and were not scum.......... just because we got asbused by rocks bottles cones n peperamis....

    342504

Ya see you think your celever, u got abused with rocks and bottles!! wow...your gonna be telling that story and laughing to your mates at school all week.

  3. Does my head in, i see them at most away games. They didnt annoy me inparticular today but i remember norwich away last year i had some trouble with some idiots. They dont care about the football, they just think they are clever and think their chants are funny, whereas they are crap. The chant they were singing for half the game today in their little group of about 12 Blackburn chavs (school starts again soon) was boring and nobody laughed apart from themselves. Then they are so thick they start singing garbage like 'easy, easy' when we are quite clearly under the cosh and about to concede any second, therefore having the villa fans laughing at us for the next 80 mins. Also singing 'whats it like to win **** all' to a club which has won the european cup and won the fa cup 7 times isnt the best thing to do. GO AND FOLLOW RUGBY

  4. i wish everyone would stop going on about Kuqi...typical rovers fans. Give the guy a chance with a run of a few games with a striker partner for christs sake. The guy has just put in 3 good performances in my opinion, the only thing lacking was a goal. We know he can finish, weve seen him score 3 good goals in friendlys and he scored 20 goals last season in the championship. Yes its a different league but its still a tough league with very good teams in it and hes an international. Give him a chance.

  5. Savage - 6 -HE DIDN'T GET BOOKED?  Tidy on the ball, but dreadful set piece delivery.

Kuqi - 3 -Runs all over but that doesn't excuse his awful performance.

Was the tv showing a different game? I dont agree with that at all. Kuqi is on his own upfront, having not done this before its dificult for him and hes done a very good job. He played well today just needs Bellamy/Dickov besides him.

  6. Just back from brummyland.

We got battered in the first half, we were crap and should have been 3-0 down at half time. After the break we were much improved and were all over them for 35 mins. The villa fans after the game said we were the better side 2nd half.

Kuqi - Ran his socks off, had a very good game just couldnt score! He needs to learn to take his chances because at this level he wont get many.

Savage - I thought aside from a couple of wayward passes this was one of his best games for rovers. He gave 110%, never stopped running and put in a couple of good deliverys.

Pedersen played well, Jansen didnt really do much when he came on, Johnson looked better. Reid did ok at right back but il be happy when Neills back. Flitty was slightly anonymous as usual.

Overall im not too disapointed bcause we looked good 2nd half, if we had Bellamy and Dickov available im sure we would have taken something. But with injured players or not, if Hughes wants a European finish were gonna have to start picking up points in these games.

  7. If Mokoenna is fit and Jansen isnt...

    Friedel

    Neill Todd Nelsen Matteo

    Mokoenna

    Emerton Reid Svage Pedersen

    Kuqi

    subs...encks, tugay, gresko, gallagher, Johnson

If hes not and jansen is...

    Friedel

    Neill Todd Nelsen Matteo

    Emerton Tugay Savage Pedersen

    Jansen Kuqi

    Subs...encks, reid, gresko, gallagher, Flitcroft

If they are both fit, formation 1 with Jansen on bench ready to revert to 4-4-2 if needed

    If they are both injured...

    Friedel

    Neill Todd Nelsen Matteo

    Flitcroft

    Emerton Tugay Savage Pedersen

    Kuqi

THATS CONFUSED EVERYONE. Im a tactical genius....but seriously i think this is a game that wont be right for Tugay. Mark Hughes was saying this and i think he was mainly hinting at away games, but i think Spurs are gonna be tough, Davids and Carrick will get better as the game goes on and i think we need a presence like Mokoenna or even flitcroft in there. Likewise if we play 4-4-2 id have Tugay in for Reid but hes gonna have a tough night!

  8. Im not feeling confident at all for this. I know the last 2 seasons ive gone into this game over confident and come away at 5pm depressed.

    Heres my team...

    Friedel

    Neill Nelsen Todd Gresko

    Emerton Reid Savage Pedersen

    Kuqi Derbyshire

    Subs..Enckleman, Matteo, Mokoenna, Tugay, Gallagher

    Prediction Fulham 2 - 1 Rovers

Please prove me wrong. COME ON ROVERS!

  9. Drslowman, are you sure you didn't turn up at craven cottage yesterday, The only peep I heard from your lot is when you scored.

Moment of the day, savage thrown into the advertising boards by konchesky, quality.

good luck in the championship  biggrin.gif

I have to agree. I thought the west ham fans were excellent, i had a headache by the end it was so loud. Not that you can make out what they are singing...its just a noise, but loud.

As for the rovers singing....i dont know where you got that from drslowman. I know there were some songs comin from the back but i could hardly hear sitting at the front. I guarantee you west ham didnt hear a thing!

And LOL at savage...that was funny.

  10. It was a dissapointing result, dissapointing performance but all the optimism going round kinda set us up for this. Alls not lost though, I was impressed with Pedersen and Kuqi but Todd and Gresko were diabolical today (even though Todd scored and his usually a rock for us).

We need to build up some fitness and I hate to say it but we need to bring in some more new players.

    338954

I cant say i was impressed with pedersen and Kuqi. Cusnt see much of Gresko as my seat seemed to be below the pitch. Saw him put in a peach of a cross though. Todd had a bad game. Savage did well before he got booked then went out of the game. Bellamy had no service. Reid was ok apart from his final ball.

  11. I cant be bothered repeating what everyone else is saying. All il say is no more Mokoenna at center back PLEASE!

Ive said all along hes rubbish in that position, he doesnt know what to do, he doesnt look around him and he is the most usefull premiership player in the air ive ever seen. This guy will NEVER win a header. Everytime he gets the ball he looks like a nervous robot. Then when he went into midfield he looked better. Keep him on the bench for when we go 4-5-1 as he is excellent in that position.

Lets just hope we get Nelsen back soon. As for the rest of the seasons cover id much rather have Amo as a backup for center back than Mokoenna. With Amo we know what were getting...good performances agains tthe top teams and good performances with a couple of mistakes and lapses in concentration against the other teams. So if todd/nelsen gets injured we just have to keep our fingers crossed we get lucky with amos mistakes and warn his partner to be ready and quick off the mark when a mistake happens. smile.gif

Overall it was a horrible day. The west ham fans were excellent and im sure this intimidated some of our players. West ham looked stronger and more up for it than us.

So that was yesterday, it was crap, its OVER. Next week...fulham at home...we need a result! COME ON ROVERS!!

  12. Gresko can play at this level, thats why he played for inter and parma and thats why Blackburn (a premiership club) spent money on him. Were not stupid. The season ebfore last im certain it was a mental thing with some of his errors. He is a good player lets just see if he can settle in the team and do well next season.

  13. Just got back...nice day out.

Few quick notes cause im knackered...we were under the cosh a bit for 10 mins, swansea had most of first half chances, should have scored a couple, after pedersens goal we settled down.

Friedel - some very good saves, missed their goal was singin to our players warming down mad.gif so i dont know what happened

    Neill - solid

Todd - Solid, couple of strange passes, but good game overall

Mokoenna - solid, surprised me i didnt like him at center back before

    Matteo - Good performance

Pedersen - Good goal, could have had another, delivery was ok, didnt do much down the flanks. Actually looked better when moved on the right today.

Savage...im not judging til hes fit. The old people behind me were slating him the whole half which was wrong, hes had an operation, only just gone back to training and had 12,000 people giving him some pretty bad abuse. Couple of mislaid passes and tackles. Not very involved.

Reid - Another good display and another goal. Good athlete seems to get more stuck in now aswell. Linked up well with the strikers and was unlucky not to get another.

Emerton - Looked good going forward and defensivley. Linked up well with neill. Looked comfortable on the left aswell.

Kuqi - Disapointed me, didnt win headers, didnt win much actually and was wastefull. Hopefully he will improve.

Gallagher - Some good runs and provided the cross for MGP. Couple of crap shots.

    Subs...

    Mcevely/taylor - both did ok

Flitcroft - Some stupid passes, i didnt think he was good enough for our first team last season and nothings gonna change.

Tugay - Couple of wayward passes but overall did very well. Totally different from savage he was involved in every rovers move. Basically ran our game when he came on.

Gray - Another good display. Pplayed left mid and did well. Some good crosses (and 1 bad one) linked up very well with gresko. Ive never had a problem with Gray, in my opinion hes always been excellent for us apart from the 3 games last season..charlton away, boro and chelsea away. Could be a very usefull squad player.

Gresko - What can i say....his touch was excellent, his vision was excellent, his delivery was excellent and his movement was excellent. Out for a year!!!? You definately wouldnt think so. Lets hope he can do it in the prem. If he can hes a def starter.

and finally, the man of the match...

Derbyshire - Ive seen him play a couple of times for the reserves and i got the opinion that he wont make it at this level, at least not for a while. Looks totally different now. For the last 20 mins he was playing upfront on his own and he never stopped making intelligant runs..his first touch was good, created a couple of chances for himself and got a good header in from a tight angle (from a very good gresko cross).

    So alls good biggrin.gif
