thats probably what they are saying I cant disagree but pne tickets sales are very poor and I know that they are allowing entry into the ground payable by cash on Saturday !

    rolleyes.gif

Rang the ticket office at Deepdale this morning, you are right, tickets are "unofficially" available on the gate.

For those who care about type of thing the Kop has 39 rows of seating and goes upto seat 173. We have been given the entire stand which seats nearly 6000 (as if we'll fill that!)

  2. The price isnt to bad, just over three quid for a pint and a half of lager, and it actually wasnt too bad.

The problem is with the speed of the service, some staff dont seem to have figured out that with one of those automatic machines at the back you can pull six or eight pints at a time, they only use it for 2. So the custoemr you are serving only wants 2, the next few will also want beer.

  3. Another point that I have raised before, it may seem small but I feel it is a big factor and that is the getting in and out of Ewood. Easy access to and from the ground. I have heard of many issues regarding traffic flow etc it needs to be remedied, people simply are not as patient as they used to be.

Compared to getting away from most other grounds I have been to Ewood is a piece of cake. If you park at Darwen Vale you are on the motorway within 10 minutes of the game ending, if you park up Livesey Branch you can get away within 10-15 minutes. Cant comment on traffic into Blackburn.

Compare that the Old Trafford, with a motorway on the doorstep - it took us an hour to get to the motorway. Wolves - took us longer to get to the motorway than it did from getting on the motorway to Preston.

It just seems to be any bloody excuse.

And as for the Sydney contingent. Ever heard of frequent flyer discount? wink.gif

  4. 2. Advertise the fixture

    3. Contact everyone who went to the same match last season.

Problem is of course that Rovers appear not to go for the proactive marketing of match tickets. When I didn't renew my season ticket a few season ago, I didn't hear from the club for 3 years (and then it was only becuase I initiated contact.) I had been going to matches but someone else was buying the tickets so had no purchase history in my name -this then made it difficult to buy tickets last season (at the beginning of the season for the big games).

  5. Its all pure speculation, if the figure is accurate 10,000 is awful.  Two seasons ago we had the best part of 15000.  Burnley have 9000 FFS.

Yes, but with 8 weeks to go until the actual season starts don't you think that number will increase a bit?

Probably not a huge amount, no.

The majority of season ticket sales will be renewals. The majority of renewals will wish to retain their seat so should have renewed already. Maybe there will be a late rush of new season ticket holders, but somehow I'm not too confident.

We may have sold more than is being speculated, I have no idea, merely making observations.

  6. I thought this morning was going to be really dull at work. I then came across this thread. I tell you havn't; laughed so much in I don't know how long.

Lofty truly is a comedy genius, well when you compare him to Ste B anyhow.

I got insulted somewhere along the line, unless that was t4e.

Well I think I'll say goodbye to all of you, its been a pleasure. I'm sure that when lofty speaks to his high level mates this site will be closed down for before you can say boo to a goose!

Oh. Well while I'm waiting for the fixtures to come out I'll read this again!

  7. From what I have heard I'm not sure if it will even be at that stage for the Sporting Lisbon match. I dont think it was ever the plan to use that match to test the system. I think we will have to wait untill tomorrow to find out what the first date we will be testing them will be. Man U at home?!?! laugh.gif

I think the ideal situation for the club is that it will be ready to test in at least some of the ground for the Sporting match (if not all).

I have got the impression that when we purchase the extras and are season ticket holders we use the same card, is that right does anyone know?

  8. They were saying on the news that if they carry on, then england might be kicked out of the competition!!  There always has to be some idiots who spoil it for everyone else  mad.gif

The news keep reporting that, despite Lennart Johannsen saying last week that England will not be kicked out because of the behavious of their fans.

Once again a case of sensationalism.

  9. season................cue a gate of 15,000 people who were inspired by Souness' confidence.

couple of thousand more than turned up to the Champs League games then !!

21,000 give or take a few hundred at each of the Champs League games. However 13,000 in 1994 when Trelleborgs FF visited. Good result that night I seem to recall.

Lets face it European Football has never been popular at Ewood.

  10. yes massive queues at deepdale all 2600 of them !

if anyone thinks that they will get above 20k a home game then you know nothing about them, in fact they cannot get 20k cause the ground aint big enough laugh.gif

They will only get a higher than usual average due to the likes of

    leeds,siunderland,wham,leicester,forest,dingles,wolves, etc

they are a second rate outfit with a second rate backroom staff tinykit.gif

    21,400 seats at Deepdale. tongue.gif

They dont get 20k becuase they are rubbish laugh.gif

  11. I live less than 3 kilometres from the faro-loule stadium, and yesterday spent the day at the beach with the wife and the kids, now who do you think were the loudest, rowdiest and most drunken people there?

    The Spanish.

For a minute there I thought you were going to say your wife and kids! laugh.giflaugh.giflaugh.gif (Only joking fella - as was Manchester Blue)

His wife and kids are Spanish. ohmy.gif

Your shoiwng just how naive you are again bob.

  12. Tell that to the people who had breathing difficulties due to drunken idiots in baseball caps.

    And these people were English?

Come on. Wake up and smell the coffee. If what you saying happened and was done by English people do you not think it would be all over the TV and Radio news? Our press don't care about the consequences, they just blow things our of all proportion (very similar in fact to your own technique - are you Rupert Murdoch in disguise?)

    Stop over reacting.

  13. Stop creating.

The bottom line is that the portuguese police arrested four english people (2 of whom were from a stag party) and have released them WITHOUT CHARGE. Do you know what that means? If not, it means they did nothing wrong. Do you know which country has had the most arrests so far? Spain. Thats right, its not England

And believe me, if our 'fans' start misbehaving I for one will condemn them. But to start this whole nonsense after four arrests (incidentally how many were there in Blackburn Town Centre last night? I'd guess in excess of 100) is bordering on the ridiculous. Do you fancy a job as "sensasional journalist" for one of the red tops?
