  1. maybe some of you will now take off your blue and white glasses and see, he was not a very god player. But he will look good now in his pants league up north.

he was never worth 6.5 million and we are lucky to get 5 million.

but then still feel ripped off by Ferguson, stupid pussy. and he should have never been made captain, I was 95% certain he would leave within a year, but I thought it would be newcastle

  2. i always think its a CM or CB that should be the captain, plus is quality so will always be in the team for a long while, leads by example at last, its a bit like the Beackham situation, he was a bad boy and has turned things around.

many other reasons, hes 30 yrs old is a good age, he's mature and experienced but also has a good three/four years in him.

Plus I don't see any better options

  3. Murray confirmed in an interview that it was a TOTAL BID of £3m.  ie £440,00o cash plus writing off the £2.56million due in the summer.

So let's get this down in black and white.

We pay them 7.5m Autumn(?) 2003 over installments, we have so far paid 5m for him.

that just is shocking, I find it really hard to believe, it almost seems like a setup, "fergy will you go to Blackburn for a little while so we can rip them off"

Have to say I was thinking about three days ago with Savage in the team ferguson could have some real competition for his place, but then he's captain and the fact he cost 7.5 million seems to get him a huge advantage over other players. With Savage in the team I would consider Thompson more creative and more a threat, but also Ferguson and savage together would have been good to see.

nice to see a few more supporters admit fergy not been great at Blackburn, when a player does wrong the blue and white glasses just seem to fall off

  4. It's over now the Rangers player at Ewood. He turned out to be a waste of money, money that a club like Rovers cant afford to squander. I never warmed to the Rangers player, because I always had a feeling this would happen.

great point mate, i felt the same just wish i said it at the time, but when he came out saying he was happy, i put that to the back of my mind

  5. [Let Ferguson go for a fair fee with respect intact and lets see if Thommo can't do a job of replacing him in the middle of the park.

    Arrrrgggghhh !

Two different players entirely. How can Thompson - the original headless chicken - perform a holding role in midfield ?

thought that was the point of signing Savage, for his tackling/battling ability, plus Ferguson recently has been playing in a midfield with Flitcroft, hardly call Ferguson a classic DM

  6. a nice little article about ferguson and murray

    LINK

particluarly like the idea of barry seeming like a complete loser by leaving

Who's article is this, its class, all very true, just how I feel on the subject, certainly not wearing blue and white glasses like some people often do.

hopefully most fans agree with it

  7. maybe he will sign for Everton, appartantly Savage gave Fergy his map a few days ago and according to the map Everton is far closer to Scotland then Blackburn

anyway, its bad news, i don't think he is particalurly a top player and is overrated, but I would have liked to see if he could have picked up his game with Savage in the team.

  8. Even if we only get £3m - it will still be another £3m above the Savage money for Hughes to work his magic (hopefully).

The BBC are reporting that Blackburn still owe £2.5m on the original transfer, meaning Rangers' insulting £3m is now only worth £500k to the club.

Yet again, the Souness legacy bites us in the arse. mad.gif

yourt joking, i'd rather see him rot in the reserves, i doubt thats right, surely its 3 million including the money owe

  9. On most things we agree Scotty.

I like Philipl's description of Todd which was on the lines of a not overly talented player playing to the best of his ability.I can live with that.

During the Radio commentary Todd was mentioned later on and my wife commented that that was the first time she had heard his name and she had not realised he was playing.

Just as the whole world is beginning to commend Todd on his ability I continue to air the opposite position.

the guys been brilliant FACT, theres no agruement, I'm not sure what you mean by ability, he's a centreback, Head Tackle keep ball from going in net.

If you judge player on their passing then I guess that makes Amoruso better then Hendry

  10. IF THE GUY HAS NOT LIVED UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS, THEN THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM

wow dude its just peoples opinions it not life and death (unless its an opinion on life and death) tongue.gif

people don't have to think he's a god just because you do

I think both sides have perfectly valid points, particularly when potentially selling a player you have to look at the pro's and con's.

  11. That may be your overall opinion but it's not the one the overall one of this board. Can't pass or create chances. Get on to the ticket office and ask them to get you a seat facing the pitch.

These weren't Chris' observations - they were a summary of what other posters' views were. biggrin.gif

biggrin.gif certainly the wrong end of the stick, just putting most peoples opinions together from last few pages, although quote "he's not a great passer" doesn't mean he can't pass anyway, there is a lot in between great and poor.

but laughatthedingles mirrors my thoughts on the subject
