  1. Have your tickets arrived yet? It`s only a few weeks off & they haven`t materialised as of yet. I hope there`s no cock-ups. btw....caught the Muse glasto show on telly. They played a stonkingly good show!
  2. PHEW!!! Thank god i`m going to the Muse wembley show on the 11th Sept & not the 10th. Biffy Clyro are special guests on the 11th. The poor people who`re going on the 10th will have to put up with.......Lily Allen!!!! A sad sad day for rock music indeed Anyone going to the Lancs CC show will have Editors as spesh guests.
  3. Went to an unsigned band showcase at the O2 academy in Liverpool last night. I went to watch a great Blackburn band called The Scene. They went down very well & hopefully it will springboard them on to bigger & better things (i know two of the lads are Rovers fans too ) Whilst there , i caught a band from Widnes called 'The Odds'......they were the best up & coming band i`ve seen for a long long time. Good strong songs, excellent vocalist & musicianship & they looked the part too i spoke to the singer afterwards & he came across as a proper genuine lad too. The Odds......you heard it here first!
  4. Just heard Ronnie James Dio has died.......a true rock legend. RIP Ronnie......long live rock n roll!!!
  5. Imagine my disappointment when i went to the cinema to watch "Marley & Me"......i thought it was going to be about a bloke & a dead rasta
  6. Did anybody else see Robbie Williams singing live on that BBC dance show final thing tonight? A truly truly shocking car-crash of an appearance!! He forgot lines, talked to the audience during the song & ended up waving the mic towards them saying "you sing it" His backing band was full of good proffessional musicians who sounded great. They must`ve been thinking "Look at this idiot going down the pan!"
  7. Everyone around us in the Darwen End sang John Taylor`s name on & off throughout the game. There was a blue & white wreath with his name on one of the seats just across from us. The minute`s silence was impeccable....apart form one numpty up in the Hull section. He was soundly booed once the minute was up. Pillock!
  8. A terrible shame about what happened yesterday. My deepest sympathy goes out to his friends & family.
  9. .....& Rovers are giving them 8000 tickets Travelling United fans are always a handfull. They behave badly before, during & after games. They very nearly trashed the Fernhurst the other year & attacked buses on Branch Road after one game.Damage inside the DE has also been done in past visits. I know it`s money in the coffers for Rovers, but if i was in charge at Ewood i`d contact the powers that be at Odd Triffid & warn them that any bad behavior or damage inside Ewood or persistant standing by the away fans will result in reduced allocations for future visits to Ewood.
  10. What were Girlschool like Bob? A group i was in supported them many moons ago (early 90s) in Manchester. They didn`t play their most famous song (was it 'racing with the devil' or something like that??) `cos the guitarist couldn`t play it live! They had a gorgeous new bass player (a pretty young thing she was)....the rest were getting a bit ropey tho Still got photos of the band with Girlschool & a few of the gig too
  11. Akinator got 2 out of 3 with me. It got Billy Connolly, Bob Beamon but failed miserably with Simon Garner lol
  12. Did anybody see muse on Jonathon Ross tonight? Yes? If so, did the bass player remind you of anyone? Time to lose the tash Chris!!! pmsl!!!
  13. Cheers Ste I`ve done that, & they know who i am (i`m on their database) & that i`ve ordered 3 tickets. Just no confirmation from them as yet.
  14. Did you get your tickets through the link on muse website (seetickets.com)??? If so, have you had any confirmation email yet? I haven`t had any & the website said they`d send a confirmation email within 4hrs. I`ve emailed them today, still waiting reply from them. They better not #### my muse tickets up!!!
  15. ^^ lol I followed a micra the other day down the entire length of Manxman road (from the top to the lights at the infirmary) I swear it didn`t go over 15-20mph the whole journey. At the lights (i was turning left) the micra (with 2 old dears in it) straddled both lanes & had no indicators on. My heart sank as they jerkily decided to turn left when the lights went green. A massive line of traffic followed them at 20mph, until the road went into 2 lanes outside the Aqueduct!!
  16. ....just as i predicted last week I heard it on Absolute radio today. Hopefully i`ll be lucky enough to snap some tickets up. The offish Muse website says "plans for pre-sale to website members to be announced" The gf wants to go Wembley again
  17. I saw Muse at Wembley stadium the other year (the same show as the HAARP album & DVD) they were truly awesome. I know it comes down to individual tastes, but it was the best live performance i`ve ever seen.....& i`ve seen some great shows & some top bands over the years.
  18. They came on at 8.30 in Dublin & finished at 10.35 (giving them a few minutes break before the encore) My mate`s wife bumped into Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliot at the show. He was stood at the back & made a swift exit at the end.
  19. MUSE were awesome in Dublin Fantastic show & excellent venue! Surprised to see there wasn`t any support act for the Dublin gig. Although Muse played for 2+ hours. I`ve got a feeling they`ll be playing Wembley Stadium again next summer. The GF is now a Muse addict
  20. I heard this on Absolute Radio the other morning MBNA & Bank Of America merger song..... How cringeworthy is that?!!!! .....where`s David Brent when we need him?
  21. I agree. It`s a good album Different from their previous efforts but its growing more & more on me with every listen Roll on 6th November!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Radio 1s website has 36mins of video footage from Teignmouth. It includes 3 new tracks plus some other stuff. 2 months til Dublin!! I`ve heard about 5 tracks from the new album. Different, but still good.
