Anyone in East Lancs who likes a bit of Hendrix simply must try to catch "Are You Experienced?" at the Ossy civic theatre on Friday 23rd Feb. They are a Brum-based tribute act & are the nearest to the real thing you`re ever likely to get. I`ve seen them probably 8 times now in pubs & clubs & they have just signed a deal to play theatres around the country. A truly awesome group to watch!

David Dunn...a good player when not injured & match fit , BUT do we really need another player who will probably spend most of his time on the treatment table? I`d sign him, but it would have to be on a 'pay as you play' basis. Anything other than that would be a pointless exercise.

Not going Liverpool game, as i still refuse to pay those prices, but i will be going to the Boro game with my mates (3 of us) as we`ve all taken advantage of the more 'sensibly' priced offers this year (i.e ...Bolton & the european home games)

I think that`s true aswell. I`ve lived in my house for 13yrs now & can honestly say i know only 4 neighbours (out of a terrace of 20-25 houses) infact the guy who moved in next door a couple of years ago has never even attempted to say 'hello' or give a nod of acknowledgement.

Seen Iron Maiden 5 times, Preston 1983 being the 1st time & Donnington 1988 (i think? ) being the last. I decided back in 88 it`d be my last maiden concert. Good to see they`re still gigging tho. Saw Snow patrol at the G-mex on Thursday. Not as good a gig as at the MEN, but still a decent night. The mighty Elbow were one of the support acts, although i missed the openers & half the elbow set, due to getting stuck in Manchester traffic....which was chaos!

Hardly read anything on this thread (the usual argueing) but just noticed my clematis in my backgarden is starting to bud. Doesn`t normally do that until late March. Also a plant in my front garden has flowered for the 2nd time this year. It`s never done that before! Global warming? Unusually mild? me being more observant than usual? who knows?

Many thanks for that find! A full hour of the NEC live show...top quality stuff. Couldn`t find the 'assassin' download you mentioned. 'knights of Cydonia'...probably THE best ending to a show i`ve seen. The whole of the MEN was absolutely bouncing during the BIG guitar ending bit!
