Anyway, back to the subject at hand, of de pedro and its a excellent signing. He is a left footed winger who although not someone who is not gonna constantly beat the full back, will balance the team out. Last season it was so obvious that we could only attack down one flank (right). He is on a free transfer which means that funds can be spent in other ways (not butt). As for his age, he still has 2-3 good more years in him and btw is the same age as giggs who i don't think we would sniff at.

Finally, if it all goes wrong, we have only paid his wages anyway and can't be another Grabbi. All round great business Souness.

Some people have got to remember that a 30yr old centre back still has probably at least 4 good yrs at the top to go. I think he would be an excellent signing especially at the quoted price, under a million? Good experienced centre back who has a good reputation despite leeds horiffic season.

First:- Olombe isnt coming to Rovers because souey doesnt want him to wait until the African nat cup is finished.

Second:- Sod Butt, he is a good enough player but not worth the 5.5m b'ham bid for him. We already have bazza

I think the dingle should concentrate on ensuring there is a Burnley F.C next season, rather than pollutin our message board.

Waggy:- The point i was trying to make, is that the majority of Rovers fans do support Souness and i was only making the point that if you had been to the recent away games you would have heard the level of support for him. Despite the fact we aint doing that well at the moment, i think sacking Souness wouldn't really achieve anything, espesially at this time in the season. Perhaps 1 or 2 loan signings during the transfer period might change our season.

          We must try and stay positive and get behing the lads. It could be worse, we could have just lost away at Crewe like our East Lancashire neighbours and be 2 places above the div 1 relegation zone.
