  1. Reyes scored an own goal on his debut. Maybe it's Spanish speciality?
  2. "inhibriated"?! Classic! "I'm schnot in any way inhibriated, oschifer" I thought i learnt some english at school but things like that prove me that i'm wrong.
  3. I have to ask - do you know if the De Pedro's sending off was fair?
  4. Rey means king, yes, but i have always seen Rej.
  5. are you sure his name is Romeo? everywhere i read about him i find "Rej" instead of "Romeo". But what the hell is Rej? A nickname? Sounds like hindi... BTW i appreciate young talent signings, i don't care they've no experience if they're good enough. Remember Stead, again.
  6. But Bazza is almost a newcomer, i've always thought that a bit of expirience in the team is needed to be the captain. I think Brad would be the most logical option. It seems that Ferguson will be an excellent captain but if i was Souness i would have waited one or two years.
  7. Hey, congratulations from a spanish guy (who's not sad at all for the Spanish failure -it was obvious it was gonna be-). Maybe it's the time for England of doing something great again!
  8. As long as i know De Pedro said many times in the last years that he wanted to try a new experience playing abroad, and the league he liked the most was the English one, so maybe he's losing money for coming here, but this is his desire. Is the same that happened with Guardiola when he left Barça to play in Italy. I think De Pedro hasn't said about the trade yet. Probably we'll have to wait until the official press conference (you know, when the player takes the shirt with the coach and speaks to the journalists). Do you know when will the press conference and official introducing take place? I want to see pics of de Pedro in the blue and white (excepting the Real Sociedad's shirt, of course ).
  9. Is that in Spain ? Yes, the city is San Sebastian (Donosti or Donostia in basque). Near France.
  10. well, his full name is Francisco Javier De Pedro, but nobody calls him Francisco, just Javier De Pedro or Javi de Pedro (Javi to Javier is the same that Jack to John). BTW: Real Sociedad = Royal Society (of San Sebastian, the full name)
  11. It's almost a crime that Javi doesn't speaks english, if you have in mind that he probably took the decision of leaving to the Premiership on January or probably before. He has had a lot of time to learn the basics! BTW, have you heard new Liverpool's coach Rafa Benítez? Funny... As Philipl said, San Sebastián is not really different from Blackburn, a very similar weather and countryside. IMO Philipl had a confusion between San Sebastián and Bilbao (it's neighbour and the city where i was born), wich it's where the industries are. But if you have the will to settle, you'll definitely settle well. Good luck Javi! Bienvenido a Blackburn!
  12. It's a long time since a wrote a message for the last time, but maybe someone remembers me. I'm a Spanish Rovers supporter, so i think i can tell you my opinion about Javi. In fact i don't know what to say; it's obvious that his best days have passed as he was Real Sociedad's star one time and last season he has been a regular on the bench. His losing of speed isn't worrying as he has never been a quick player. He is a winger with a soul of a Nº 10. It will be difficult for him to settle in the Premiership, a kind of football much faster than the Spanish League. But his crossings can be very useful, as his intelligence and of course his magnificent shooting and his experience. But he is in the last years of his career and, in an extrange way, almost any Spanish player settles well outside his country. Conclusion: It could be a great signing... two or three years ago. Now i don't know what to think. But i will give him a bit of confidence (and it will help to read more of Rovers in local newspapers here!).
