I agree with a number of your points Theno, I disagree with your comments on Dean Saunders. A number of players (I recall Duff being one of them) have come out and said his attacking coaching has helped improve their goalscoring,
Ricky that point about Duff I've made many times. I always held the opinion that if Duff ever learnt how to score then we could not hold on to him. Credit to Saunders who imo gave him the confidence necessary and taught him how to score and we did indeed make big bucks out of selling him........ however the fact remains that the current management team have had a bad season and as they say in football "you are only as good as your last game"!
Exactly thenodrog....you are only as bad as your last game...
Mark Hughes' last game was a gutless capitulation to Russia. Admittedly Russia are a good side but that does not excuse the limp and listless performance the supposeldy-patriotic Welsh side put in that night.
Can anyone actually name a possible succesor whose 'last game' wasn't rubbish?
I mean it...come on if we are to sack Souness then let's at least have a viable strategy to replace him. Other than rover6 who commendably put forward Paul Sturrock (to much derision including from myself I must say), the constanly anti-Souness brigade such as kennysuperbuyer have constantly failed to provide any kind of alternative.
If we are to sack a manager who has won us promotion and a cup I'd like a serious proposition, not just the tedious diatribe of continual whinging we usually have to put up with...
A pint for that man
You have summed up the feelings of 99.999999999% of Rovers fans in a nutshell

So Graeme's response to the dire last nine months, his Damascus-like conversion having learned so much about himself, is to sign Dickov - another low on skill but a battler - and to indulge in another bout of cronyism with the back room staff.
All soon to be topped off by probably shipping Cole out
How wrong I was to doubt him.....
Thank goodness your exiled. Your whingeing would curdle my pre-match pint

Gamst being a United-supporter won't change things I think, and certainly not in a negative direction - how long does he have to wait to play against them in Tromsø ??
Why do you think he wants to play against Man U ?
Tromsø did a correct decision to reject the bid now.
He will be sold later, to another club or to a higher bid.
This is a great day for us Tromsø supporters. The management has gotten our respect with this decision. it tells us that they have ambitions with this team and that they are willing to listen to us and all the others that have had some views about this issue.
- TROMSØ - until I die
Don't delude yourself. If GMP has the option of playing in any other league he will be out of Tromso before you can say 'greedy chaiman'

My letter also said about changing from a Young Adult to "fully-fledged Adult".
Well there's nowt better than telling people that they are getting old, for shifting tickets.
Hey, finacially I would be happy if they told me I could get a Senior Citizen priced ticket.
No replies required stating I look old enough to qualify.
You look old enough to qualify

A case of c'est la vie.
Everyone would be moaning if they left it any later with season tickets not reaching people in time for the new season (as has happened to me in the past)

Just downloaded the season ticket pack but it doesn't contain any of the application forms. Has this happened to anyone else?

I was hugely disappointed by Emerton - mainly after seeing promising games pre and early season.
However, I don't think he was as bad as some people on this site are making out.
Ultimately, next season he will start as a Rovers player and everybody should be fully behind him.
Has anybody stopped to think about his performances, without judging them by the huge weight of expectation that was placed on him when he signed?
Yes. Because I didn't really have any big expectations of him. His ability to hit the first man with every cross, and turn back towards his own goal instead of attacking the full-back has made me nearly lose what little hair I have left.
However I am hoping for more from him next season.
*This is off-topic really and we will get into trouble

Burnley v Rovers!!..bet Lancashire police are looking forward to that possibility!!!!!!!
Dubious to say the least.
Just have a blanket media ban then they can't whip up hype and scare all the gullible pea brains of society.

faggot
Swallowed a dictionary have you?
Insults.......the last bastion of the weak minded

Emerton is quality, just needs to settle. It isnt unknown for players take along time to settle. Look at henry took him a season to fit in, now the best player in the country.
Comparing Coco the Clown to Henry!
LOL LOL LOL!

The loyalty discount needs expanding into bands. Why should I pay the same after 18 years as someone who has had one for only 3-5 years (or whatever it is)?
The club is being rather disloyal to those loyal few who kept this great club afloat during the 1980's.

Just to remind people or inform if you missed my post yesterday that you can see Morten Gamst Pedersen in action for Norway against Wales on BBC2 Wales (Sky Digital channel 961) k.o. 6.00pm today.
Hopefully he doesn't have too good a game. We don't want more clubs coming in for him.
Maybe he was listening to you, he was rubbish.
Poor crossing (the one that hit the post was an attempted cross), poor passing, didn't supply any width, never took his man on...
But, it was an extremely poor game and he was no worse than any other of the 21 players on the pitch.
Emerton MK2?

It states, "Adult season ticket from £13.16/game?"
That's probably for the Darwen End corner of the CIS cowshed.
-
somehow freezing the price IMO will not attract any more fans.
Especially as the majority of people decided that the current price was too high even after finishing 6th.
Singing deadlegs like Dickov will not help.

According to the Sunday People,
According to the Sunday People and other national rags everyone in Blackburn stiil wear flat caps and take ferrets for walks down smog filled cobble streets
-
I doubt the club will go back to the 'cash at turnstile' system and the bad old days of unscrupulous turnstile operators letting their buddies in for nowt, or creaming a few quid for themselves. Plus I remember around 1990 a turnstile operator being mugged outside the ground when he was taking his money to the main office.

Tis already listed in the transfers section

Now you've set me off again.
I was in floods of tears at half-time, AND during his Radio Rovers interview. What a waste, letting him go.
And as for "blue and White Army". If you're the wassock sitting behind me who holds forth about all things football (and thinks Graeme Souness is great) Jeff Kenna doesn't get into the Brum squad any more because HE PLAYS FOR DERBY!!!
Thankfully I don't sit anywhere near any women.
Alan Shearer - scores 30 league goals in 3 succesive seasons and wins us the premierleague..........get's booed mercilessly on his return
David Dunn - spends most of his rovers career on the treatment table or bench, looks a good player in div 1 but a bit lacking in the prem. Throws his toys out of the pram because after all "Who dares to criticise me. I am Blackburn Rovers" as I heard him once say..............get's cheered on is waddling return
Doesn't make any sense does it?
As for Jeff Kenna I never mentioned him?
It's tea-time Jan the kitchen is calling so leave the footie to people who have a clue and it's hold fort not forth

What are your plans for the summer ?
To get my injury sorted out for good.
Well getting lashed up in Club Tropicana with your squeeze from emmerdale isn't going to help (He was there last night)
And who were the apologists who applauded him when he did the half-time draw?
"And here to present the draw is an unfit, lazy young man who threw his toys out of the pram and ran away rather than work hard to prove his manager wrong and stay at the club he supposedly loves...........it's David "Who ate all the pies" Dunn"
Morons begin applauding!!!!!!!!!!!!

Question:
Shouldn't silly or 'handbags' posts or retorts such as mr. dunn16, not count as part of the post tally for that person? Doesn't seem right that they get credit for posting drivel-
I always thought if you'd nothing to add, to keep it zipped.
now watch me get promptly slapped down.
People who don't practice what they preach should also have their post count docked
-
Well they've lost out to Rangers for Dada Prso.
Seems strange that a player on the verge of Champions League greatness takes the first real offer made to him and decides to 'retire' to the footballing 3rd world?
-
Shut yer Mouth's and get behind Souness and the lads in what we have left - we don't have much else to look at unless you think Parkes or the very dodgy sounding Saunders could keep us up!! We ain't gonna survive unless we get supporting the team - we don't wanna be divided over this!
What was said about Pompey? If we won it we would be in a healthy position from the relegation zone - but we didn't, and we aren't so we gonna have to get on with it.
If we just keep talking about trying to survive and moaning about the management you will find that in the end we will just run out of matches!
FAO Local Rovers (and from Far who can make it) you can find the ticket details for the upcomming rovers matches Here
For my own saftey i would like to ensure that Rover6 and Jim are both fitted with Muzzle's.
Up the Rovers...
anyway... Ferguson could be back for Leeds and hopefully Reid wold of made a full recovery. Hopefully Reid will be very creative for us - our problem is that times we have relyed on Emerton far to much!
Another non-moaner or whinger. Thank god I thought I was on my own and that this board was full of spinless old women
Souness must go ?
