  1. Agreed. But I'd rather hear about what his ambitions are for Blackburn rather than talking about the end of his contract already. After having a fairly average debut by anyones standards I think he needs to just knuckle down and prove what a great player he is that way he will win over the fans - not by talking about us as a being a stepping stone. I actually find his comments rather insulting to the club. Hmmmm, hang on maybe I am being a bit harsh. I'm probably peed off that i'm in work today, after a 450 mile round trip to watch rovers over the weekend (enough said about that the better) and being stuck stationary on the M6 for nearly an hour on sunday afternoon + finding I had a flat tyre when I got back to London. Aaaaaaarrrrrgggghhhhhh Now that thats off my chest, i'll give him the benefit of the doubt and put it down to "misquoting" by the press.
  2. Bloody hell!! He's only played one game and he's talking of leaving already!!! Apparantly we are only a stepping stone to biger things. pedersen
  3. You and whos army. I never said that the greek fans were better I was just saying that there are fans out there that are just as passionate as we are and the scenes in Greece seemed to confirm this. They have practically knighted their manager by making him a greek citizen. And greece weren't passionate because they won when I landed in Greece they were in the semis and it was all they could talk about (before they won).
  4. I have to say having been in Athens on Sunday night that is the biggest load of tripe I have ever heard. As soon as the final whistle went people just flooded onto the streets, it was an incredible scene. I have never seen so many flags in one place, it was as though they just appeared from nowhere, incredible. The police even got in on the act, cars were being rocked from side to side, music started blasting from every shop that was still open (although after 10 renditions of the final countdown I nearly killed myself), and people were hugging strangers. And as soon as people knew we were English (with the exception of a Spaniard) they just wanted to shake our hands and talk to us about Bolton and Sheffield United (yes, unfortunate I know) I nearly expected Burnley to get a mention :-). So to say that we are the most passionate fans in the world just isn't true. You just had to see what it meant to the Greeks to know that. What a time to be Greek.
