Definitely do; takeaway choices, eat out choices, tv subscriptions, soft drink choices, butchers, the cut down on the booze.

You need a ‘diary of a season’, like Big Al’s in ‘95.

Don’t forget the orange Wednesdays at the cinema and the ewood burger van 😂

Words like "legend" are bandied around too easily. If Wilcox was a "legend" how you classify Shearer? Wilcox was a very good player for Rovers and nothing more.

Anyone who wants a London team to win anything must have had a strange upbringing. It's a fundamental law of northern football fandom.

Unless it’s against united or Burnley then I will be a Tory for the afternoon

I'm still angry about that. When you take inflation into consideration, it must be up there as one of the worst bits of business in the PL era.

Bit young to remember that but didn’t shay given go about that time. Does anyone remember what happened with that ?

  4. Scoring that many goals and being top scorer in a side as bad as ours near the bottom against relegated players on the best teams in the league is an appalling decision. If sammie couldn’t win it, dewsbury hall has been the better of him or summerville.

The fan engagement award made it better as it proves just what a load of bollox it all is

Because Roversfan99 said that Batty has never shown that he could play for the first team, so we should have signed another left sided defender. Your first statement puts doubt on that.

Well going off the guy in the academy I fully believed he would be back up to Pickering this season. The fact he can’t get on the bench in a side as weak as this and ended up signing Chrisene says to me he’s right 🤷‍♂️

Well I think you are wrong, but you are entitled to your wrong opinion.

I spoke to someone who worked with batty at the academy and he was saying he was the stand out player in the whole group and fully expected him to break into the first team. I haven’t seen enough of him to pass comment but how is rovers fan 99 wrong when he hasn’t been anywhere near the team, is getting subbed and storming off in the u23s and the one game he did play in the cup was so far off the pace and clearly the weak link in the team against league 2 opposition. That game alone showed he is nowhere near being even a sub

  7. Absolutely buzzing with that result.

Lads should be proud of themselves. Another great goal by sammie, be gutted if/when he leaves. Dolan did brilliantly to set him up, gally did his bit and the centre backs were excellent. Didn’t see that coming and delighted and relieved in equal measure. Fair play to the chadster to for his unwavering optimism 😂

  8. The pass to assist the goal was awesome. He looks so natural in the prem and playing with better players is highlighting his quality . I love watching him. I hope he goes all the way to the top. Makes me proud to see one of our own excel .

  9. Can see him puffing on a totally wicked vape in the new kit for abit before disappearing . Either that or they need a pro at time wasting to teach these time wasters upstairs

Say we do get relegated unfortunately, would anyone take Mowbray back on a 1yr + optional 1 yr should he take us back up?

    No.
last time (possible harsh assessment) stumbled across a winning formula. We had dacks flair, goals and creativity, we had grahams strength and goals and we had a cb that cored double figures and was a constant threat from set pieces. I’d trust Mulgrew to score from a corner more than I would this lot scoring from the spot.

This squad is nothing like the one we had last time and we can’t afford for Tony’s favouritism towards good lads, turning down players because of there clothing, giving mates kids and injured lads contracts and signing a rafts of midfielders.

his over cautious style coupled with his fear of playing anybody and counteracting there strengths rather than playing to our strengths, if we have any this time round will cost us massively.

Throw in the fact he couldn’t give a shit if we win the league or not and being out in the first round of every cup before he leaves this shitty tiny club for his next juggernaut I’d rather stick with JE

off topic but I’ve just had an image of pears and Leo trying to deal with corners in league 1 🙈

Most people don't know who Pasha is let alone what he looks like and that is how they want it. The majority just want to watch Rovers play and hopefully win. You should just respect that rather than having a go a people for not boycotting or whatever. It's their choice. When you watch a match wherever you are do you pay for it?

Even free he’s pays for it 😂

Does anyone actually care at this stage?

He could be Pep Guardiola's natural successor for all we know, but under these owners it is irrelevant. They'll find a way to undermine him and force him out.

They ain't going to sack a shite manager - Kean, Coyle

They ain't going to back a decent manager - JDT, Allardyce, maybe Lambert

John Eustace could be a Mourinho in the making, or could be another Kean. Ultimately makes no difference to this club under these awful people.

Thats it in a nutshell. It doesn’t  really matter but even in a scenario where it doesn't he’s managed to underwhelm

So interesting reading this thread and arguments over who’s most at fault. Here’s my thoughts:

I think this club can be successful whilst Venkys own us. I’d rather they didn’t own us, I’d celebrate them selling us, but realistically if they just shut up, sent us money and kept their noses out we could still find success.

I think Gregg Broughton is doing a pretty decent job considering the parameters he has to work within, which have essentially been almost-impossible.

For me, the biggest problem at Rovers is Steve Waggott. He’s out of touch, ambitionless and happy to accept mediocrity. But the biggest problem is he’s a short term thinker. The shambles that Venkys have created is going to take a medium/long term plan to turn around and every single decision I’ve seen Waggott make is kicking the can down the road. Waggott’s age and “I’ll retire if the owners ask me” attitude mean by default he isn’t the man for the job because he hasn’t got the longevity to oversee it.

Ewood is falling down, we need a CEO that demands investment from the owners outside of FFP.

The match day experience is dreadful, we need a CEO that understands the modern day fan.

The ticket pricing is robbery, we need a CEO that understands the local area.

The team is desperately underfunded, we need a CEO that can generate more income for FFP and once that is generated, demand an increase of money from the owners.

The training ground is not ours, we need a CEO that can use our money to buy it back as cheap as possible - use the Wharton money if you have to.

The standards around the club are ‘think small’, we need a CEO that can bring back Jack Walkers mantra of “Think Big”.

I agree with all that but ultimately that all comes from the 🔝
