Would be great if they would...but they are owned by an organisation with direct links to someone who is the driving force in one of the more repressive regimes on the planet with lots of human rights issues - and the bulk of their supporter base doesn't seem unduly concerned by this. My guess is their appetite to join in a protest against 'dodgy' ownership in football is likely to be fairly limited these days!! Just shows it wasn't really the 'dodginess' of Ashley that was the issue - more his unwillingness to spend any meaningful money.

This applies to the bulk of their fans - to be fair there are some of their fan base who have expressed much concern about the Saudi ownership

I’ll chant Arabs in on 16 and 76 minutes if it helps our cause. They might even hear it an offer a round of beheadings as retribution for Glenn

  2. It really doesn’t matter who we appoint . Yeah we might get a new manager bounce and we might stay up for another season but the club as a whole is set up to fail . This is just kicking the can down the road. Eustace, rowett, hughes, neill, Mowbray Ben benson. It really doesn’t matter until we get things right at boardroom level.

I honestly don’t care who they appoint the outcome is the same

  3. Could we not reach out to the Newcastle fan base and tell them this is our Mike Ashley times a million and from a football perspective not team v team come together and help fight the biggest disease in football. If all four sides of the ground and all those fans could just give us a venkys out chant on 18 and 75 minutes or something would make massive worldwide headlines. They as fans know what it’s like going through this and let’s be honest they will be 3 up by half time .

Williams (player of the season that year if I remember correctly) was as good a full back as Pickering. Mulgrew was a better centre half than Hyam. Lenihan was a better centre half than Carter. I'd take Craig Conway on the wing over Dolan, much more end product.

It didn't have a player like Szmodics but it did have more goal scorers in it with Graham, a better version of Gallagher, Emnes and Joao.

The midfield if you include Wharton (but we don't have him anymore) was stronger.

And raya was miles better than these two clowns we have now

  6. The fans need to demand another meeting with waggot a laptop(after an extensive computer course) and one of those venky bastards on a zoom call. We as fans and them as owners deserve half an hour of a zoom call after the shit they have put us through and if they can’t be arsed turning up the least they can do is sit on the mansion and do a zoom call. We don’t want lies and platitudes from your puppets anymore. It’s been 13 fucking years and we demand half an hour of your time.

  7. The fans did right in going and saying there piece. I thank and applaud them for it. However you are representing the fan base I.e the rest of us who weren’t there. Trust and transparency have been two of biggest issues. Everything said at that meeting should be shared or you are undoing your own excellent work by basically giving yourself an NDA when fans are crying out for the truth . The fans are all one and everything should have been made available. Sadly that’s where you leave me disappointed and frustrated. But still I respect what you have done and said for us fans your repesenting.

We have no hope. Just spoke to a fellow fan on the train who described the transfer window as very good under the circumstances and no concerns over the ownership. Said he felt more connected to the club than ever and that we would be in serious trouble if it wasn't for the owners. When asked about the decade absence I was told to be grateful for the monetary support over the years.

Every rovers fan I know bar Glenn says the same

Oh baileys loving sea monster with a mangina the only thing I blame JDT for is for insisting on trying to play like Man City regardless of our squad or opposition, and for doing nothing during our worst run for years.

I love JDT for bringing us some identity, I love his charisma, I used to love him as a player in the 90s, he's the right man at the wrong time.

Thats the model imposed by those above him to get fees like we have just received to pocket
