This weeks excuse will be the referee.
the officials were absolutely shocking but that defeat is a culmination of all of the errors TM has made in 3 transfer windows. The GK is utterly awful and the defense is the worst I’ve ever seen at rovers.
The bigger issue in all of this is the boys club atmosphere that is manifest in the club. Quite simply, they do not care.
You can almost excuse getting beaten if there is a genuine effort or more quality in the other team. This lot believe their own hype. Off chavving it up in Dubai during the breaks, talking about top 6....
This is also the most unfit rovers side I’ve ever seen. They cannot play longer than 45 minutes.
The buck for all of that lies firmly at the feet of TM and his coaching staff. It is scary to see how far behind this club is set up compared to others in this league and above.
Im past anger and into apathy. 4000 today and the rest of the fan base deserve better.

Total apathy.
sad sad state of affairs.

Walton is absolutely shocking.

Cunningham out for the season.
I think this should force TMs hand to play 3 at the back. If we play Bell we are essentially playing 10 men - I've never seen a worse left back at Rovers.
Walton
Tosin Williams Lenihan
Bennet Downing
Travis Holtby
Rothwell Armstrong Dack

I would like to see an extended run of games with that line up. There is no way he will drop Armstrong after the Forest game.
However knowing TM, he will tell us all QPR are a 'fantastic footballing side, who use it well on the grass' and we will play Johnson/Evans.
His line on Holtby not knowing English football in his post match presentation was baffling, so I also don't expect him to start.

Jack Butland.
Stoke are a basket case - sign him up!

Holtby is class

Walton should have saved that

Armstrong's problem is his lack of end product - he often goes on blazing runs, stops and loses the ball. Needs to learn to pass/cross/shoot.
As I was saying...…!

Fairly solid half after very nearly going behind in the first minute. Downing is impressive, turning out to be a very astute signing.
More quality needed - Holtby and Rothwell for Gallagher and A N Other.

Gallagher has been awful...5 flippin million
Staggering when you consider Norwich picked up someone like Pukki for free.

Not sure what Gallagher role is in this set up. What’s he trying to achieve?
Well he certainly isn't a winger and on previous evidence he isn't much use playing up front either.
Try him in goal?

Brereton making up for his inability to score goals with a serious talent for football clichés on commentary.

So frustrating. Luton are extremely average yet rovers show no urgency or intensity for 90 minutes. 3 points thrown away.
Unfortunately we’ve spent 12m on two duds, we are sorely lacking quality up front.
Holtby has to start from now on.

No coverage on iFollow for Singapore. I really dont know which cable channel in Singapore is showing Rovers vs Luton. such a shame, was looking forward to this game.
Agreed - fairly confident no channel here in Costa Rica is showing Rovers v Luton!

Great result.
Game management lightyears ahead of last season, despite it still being nervy. Fair play to TM on the defense this season, chalk and cheese. Travis looked shattered and I think we are still short a goal scorer up top. Gallagher worked extremely hard but doesn’t look a goal threat to me.
holtby looked technically v good, some nice passes. Expect he will be starting soon.

Mowbray seems genuinely delighted and surprised we have signed him.....which means either a) Venkys have gone big on his wages/sign on fee b) he is taking a hit to join a club where he's wanted and sees some opportunity
In either scenario it's great to sign a player with some pedigree that has generated excitement amongst the fanbase. Fans of other clubs are also overwhelmingly jealous! Brilliant!

Walton is worse than Raya. Absolutely shocking - zero presence.

Graham > Gallagher. He has been very very poor today.
-
played well in the first half.
Tosin and Williams look far more mobile than previous pairings. Dack also playing well.
Bell a liability and rothwell and Gallagher anonymous.
-
started for Norwich as captain, so surely he was never even an option for us.....
-
Has it actually been confirmed Mulgrew has left?

Extremely poor window and unfortunately most of that sentiment can be blamed on Mowbray.
As the end of last year he waxed lyrical about the European scouting network, the need to invest, a desire to get into the top 6 and the now infamous 'defenders are coming'.
We have ended up with:
- A striker at $5m we arguably don't need currently
- A 35 year old Stewart downing who will be played as a utility man
- Johnson, this is an improvement
- A left back who couldn't get into a Cardiff side
- A keeper who so far looks to be no upgrade on our academy graduate, except a few inches higher
If we didn't have the means to do anything more TM should not have raised expectations. I am fed up with his prophetic interviews where he talks about how difficult it is to sign players with all the relevant excuses...….that's your bloody job!
The buck now firmly stops with him. Results will be the barometer and I am not hopeful we will be sitting pretty in December.
I hope I'm wrong.

Surely this needs to be addressed in January.
Extremely poor keeper.
