  1. What is becoming more and more evident is the owners view Rovers as a line on a P&L (and have for some time). Pasha and Gestede's job is to make that line look better. Fans do not fit into that equation. They do not believe we can fundamentally impact profits (decline in season tickets makes v little difference so not much incentive for them to increase them). The total lack of commercial capability or strategy further illustrates they don't see that as a worthwhile revenue stream. Ultimately: 1. Money in is from transfers, TV rights and through the league, (they think the academy but this model is broken) 2. Money out: wages, transfer fees, 'running' costs, Wages, transfer fees and running costs (including women's team) are controllable, hence all three being slashed. Running costs they fund to the minimum. Grim times with us, the fans, being held in utter contempt and apathy.
  2. Out: Weimann Baath Dolan Dennis Woodrow Beck Sanderson Cozier Duberry In: De Neve Tavares Simple maths so far suggests we are WAY behind anything like being in a stronger position than last year.
  3. Chadometer must be flirting with negative after Baath signed a 1 year deal with the mighty Derby.
  4. All looking rather bleak, as was to be expected
  5. Blackburn make bid for Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho Who remembers this? I do....and also remember thinking what on earth is going on. Some of these actual BBC quotes are, well, bonkers. Knew then we were doomed...... And Desai added: "The impression is I've never watched a football match. I've not watched in a stadium but I have been watching the World Cup in India. "I have watched hundreds of cricket matches but not live - it's all on TV. To say I don't have any knowledge would be wrong. I am a good listener. "The fans have to trust us and give us some time and you will see for yourself that we are sincere people, very passionate about the football team and football club and our fans. We will not let you down." Desai also told Sky Sports News that they were looking at a couple of other players. "We're thinking of getting Damien Duff back," she said.
  6. Kaminski for the price we got Walhstedt and Toth. Nice one.
  7. Now three managers that clearly don't rate him or think he's got the potential. Bizarre move. Good luck to him
  8. Who needs Yamal when you've got Cant(very)well
  9. On your second point, I wouldn't know as I'm not his agent. The more pertinent question I would ask is why hasn't he signed the offer here yet? Which leads nicely to your first point, which I think is naive. We obviously haven't offered what Travis wants, hence him not signing anything and looking elsewhere. Throw into the mix the intrinsic motivating factor that both Travis and Batth have openly praised JE and you could, fairly safely, conclude Derby appeals to them more than Rovers currently.
  10. Travis and Dolan will end up at Derby. As will Weimann and Batth.
  11. Wrexham have smart, commercially minded business people running the show = significant revenue streams, even in league 2. Look at some of their sponsors: TikTok, United Airlines, Aviation Gin. Multi billion dollar businesses recognising a product with good brand recognition and equity. Imagine the possibilities if Rovers were a founder member of the football league, steeped in tradition and a premier league winner. Oh wait.... We can manage a local dairy and a local solicitors firm. We are (now) tinpot.
  12. As ever will wish him luck and hope he does well for Rovers. With what appears to be extremely limited budget however, it is a strange one to spend a decent chunk on a position we are well covered?
  13. Wonderful for Adam and our academy. Imagine this will be the first of many trophies in his career.
  14. Give it everything lads. Tough game but stranger things have happened. COYB
  15. Yuki! Well played. He has been something this season, probably the brightest light. Absolutely typical Rovers this isn’t it. Zero pressure to win games with eff all to play for - start winning games.
  16. Who on earth are we going to sell for more than a million?! Players with 1 year left on contracts won't go for more and there are little to no assets left. This is the fundamental flaw with the 'strategy' - they say they are developing assets, using the academy to then sell. That model only works with reinvestment. We know that won't happen. Result - no assets. The academy model is also broken as any decent prospect there can leave for compensation under current rules: see Finneran and the two lads linked to Arsenal now. Other than that, we're in great shape.....
  17. Result last night ends any discussion about him being potted by the stooges this season. Players played well in the second half, credit where it is due. Luton are appalling but our recent record against teams in the bottom six is worse. Will be interesting to see if we turn up on Saturday.
  18. Brilliant Pasha Out banner. Well done them!
  19. Been much better this half. Buys the clown time even if we lose I think.
  20. Genuinely fear we don’t have the points to stay up this season. It’s hard to comprehend what has happened since January but we all know the malaise started in 2010. I believe, hope and pray this is reaching its conclusion.
  21. Feel for this kid coming on. 1. he was at Chorley 2 weeks ago 2. excuse for this odious creature and the goons to say we are down to bare bones and LOOK ANOTHER ACADEMY GRADUATE Calculated move.
  22. Worse record than Owen Coyle. Case closed. Time up. Bon voyage and see you later. Tone is set from the top of an organisation and we all know the Raos are toxic, as are their stooges. Ismael is a symptom.
