Totally obvious the reason why. His wages will cover Dennis. The objective was clearly to break even in Jan and not spend more. Baker and Fadzean cover Sanderson, Forshaw, Ribeiro. Sigurdsson wages cover Kargbo (who is likely on peanuts) and Dennis % contribution. There is no chance Siggy offers less from a footballing perspective than every player on that list. The latest podcast from Elliott Jackson & pal cover this really nicely. Worth a listen

That was the worst half I’ve seen this season. Pears keeping us in it. Dolan is just bizarre ….thinks he is 10x the player he is. Changes and a rocket up some backsides needed. Fancy Kargbo for hedges. Can’t be worse.

Hedges, Buckley and Dolan offer nothing. Bleak viewing.

The thing that strikes me is the lack of long term investment. We have signed one player with a contract beyond this season and that is only until 2027. Disticnt lack of contract renewals too. Half the team is out of contract in the summer. My optimistic brain wants to believe Venkys might be looking to sell? My practical brain believes they simply won’t invest. We invested what, £900k this window? Overall a disappointing window and the bulk of activity done 3/4 weeks too late. We have missed a golden opportunity with the league as it is this year, teams around us have strengthened more than we have. 5/10.

How many windows is it now we have needed a proven striker and failed - 4/5? Sod all spent again. But roll up and spend your money on tickets, shirts and hospitality folks.

Kargbo, O’Brien, Danns and a £3.5m CF would be a hell of a window (albeit 3/4 weeks late). I was reflecting - how on earth are we 5th after 2 wins in 9. This league is there for the taking. Over to you Venkys & Pasha. I expect to be disappointed.
