Nathan Blake but for that glorious winner at anfield. I was behind the goal
I remember his debut, away at Wimbledon (Selhurst Park) - panic buy as Hodgson missed out on someone else and we were struggling.
Torrential rain, he looked lively but missed two sitters. Rest is history.
As an aside we all got soaked and my mate was due to meet his girlfriend’s parents for the first time at a swanky hotel after the match. He turned up looking like a drowned rat, like us, went down badly!

Same XI, build some momentum.
Luton have given us real issues in recent times, though they are struggling.
Surely our back 3 will make sure it’s 3 points, not another Reading.

Carlos Villanueva, another one of the forgotten ones.
I remember him having some decent moments, but not much else.
He bossed the Blyth Spartans FA Cup match in 2009, but was never going to get a run under Big Sam

No, we won't think it's worth giving Phillips and Wharton £10 k p.w.
We won't want to upset the rest of the lads and will be happy to watch another £115m worth of talent walk out of the door.
Announcing contracts for those two would make for a good transfer deadline day.

Wharton was an absolute joy to watch.
Carter finally got the chance his loan spell earnt and he seized it with both hands (though nearly gifted Blackpool a penalty).
Hyam looked a natural fit.
Diaz gave everything, fair play under the circumstances.
Vale is getting closer to a goal.
Dack is getting the minutes.
Dolan though is struggling, perhaps needs minutes in the U23s to find some form.

If we are a striker light for tomorrow then I’d start Vale. I know he hasn’t really got going yet, but with game time he could yet deliver goals. Presuming we bring someone in, could be his last chance.

I am surprised we are looking to spend so much on a CD when we have Wharton and Carter both due back soon, alongside Ayala and Phillips.

Another win, another chance for the wider squad to get minutes - good result and performance.

Quite a thumping. Phillips looked very raw, Pickering repeatedly gave the ball away, none of the attacking players could hold up play… Ayala was the only plus, real quality.
*But* fine margins, clearly an off night - it happens. Key is how we respond, there is enough there to suggest we will.

Great performance for the fans, building on a very exciting start to the season.
JDT will be pleased those given a chance to impress grabbed it by both hands.
Good times!

Presume not on Sky / Rovers TV?

Wonder if our very good start will see a flurry of extra ST sales?

Brilliant 3 points and performance.
Exciting, pressing and the squad is shaping up nicely.

There were some who wrote him off, including Howard Kendall, who had him lined up for offloading to Halifax.
Really? What happened that triggered him being kept and given a chance?

Thanks for sharing the minutes.
Any of the other MP’s responded since the meeting?

Without the usual preseason to gel, I’d resist making any changes and keep the same starting XI. Plenty of options off the bench (inc any incomings) if we need to change things as the game develops.
Excited for this one.

I have the same audio problem on Rovers TV. Clearly a problem at the Rovers end
Hopeless isn’t it? Loose cable, how have they not noticed?

Great to see Vale got the nod!

I was surprised Bradford didn’t pick up Davenport.
16 out, that will have lowered the wage bill a fair chunk. If we aren’t replacing some of the savings should be used to get fans into the stadium with some decent promotions.

Huddersfield look atrocious but Burnley will be very encouraged by the way they are playing. The influence of Bellamy is obvious to see. They look fit, motivated and very, very competitive.
Yes, annoyingly so.

I hope Vale is in the mix. The lack of signings, we are relying on a wildcard coming good and he clearly has an eye for a goal.
1-1.

I have been getting grief from my Burnley supporting missus for their larger season ticket holder numbers.
We should be doing better than we are, but clearly pricing is a factor.

Any Vanguard players?

He's done the dirty work at Everton, started at the bottom in the Academy (many don't get that chance handed to them though), working seven days a week 7-19. Nevertheless, it would be an underwhelming signing for me, but let's give whoever they put in charge the support they need.
I’d be willing to give him a go.
1 - He has done well when he has had to step in as Caretaker at Everton (yes I know only a handful of games)
2 - As per the quoted post, he has worked his way up, and knows how to develop kids (vital for us)
3 - He gives a damn, no TM sitting on the side hands in his pockets.
4 - Time Everton repaid us for Howard Kendall.
5 - He hasn’t (repeatedly) failed like the majority on the list.
6 - So what if he is cheap? Good.

Yes his first signing - from Blackpool.
I remember as that was the 90 Minutes quiz question that I won to meet the players at the training ground. (90 Minutes were useless. They sent me the letter to say I won and details would follow, they didn’t so my mum had to phone up to sort out!)
