  1. Ground out a good win 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Some really good performances from a number of players benefiting from a run of games, and fair play to Chapman who took his chance tonight.

As I’ve mentioned before I think in part the smaller squad has helped on two fronts:

    • Less squad rotation so players have settled into their respective roles
    • Less reliance on loan players who aren’t as invested in the club

A positive start to the season.

    Two potential hurdles:

    • TM might put Ayala and Lenihan upfront on Saturday.
    • WBA look very good.

This is Armstrong they are trying to sell and not Messi!!!

The market for Armstrong is very limited and the sooner the Rovers realise that and show some realism the better.  If they don't, they are going to make the feckin hole they've dug for themselves even bigger.

I know what you mean, but… next Saturday some of the potentially interested teams are going to have poor results. Staying in the PL comes with big rewards, so one could blink and roll the (risky) dice. He isn’t Messi, but he is young, English and has scored goals for several seasons. Brighton stayed up with a top scorer of 6 (I think). Could Armstrong get 5 to 10, could that be enough for one of the bottom 6 to not be bottom 3… yes, and at £15-20m, we’ll worth the risk.

    League Cup…

I hope TM doesn’t make too many changes.  Let the team gel - too many changes last season messed up the rhythm / instincts.

A good performance and win on the back of the Swansea result will do the power of good for morale and belief - players and fans.

Club should have done this as £5 tickets as a ‘thank you’ - packed Ewood, get the fans back.

Just seen the £10 tickets, down to £2 for concessions - fair play Rovers!

It’s not the iFollow rules as such but EFL rules which the club is tied to, whether they take the iFollow stream as last season or do their own as this. The Carabao Cup is an EFL competition. The FA Cup may well-being different when we get to it.

I am sure (I know, I watched it whilst away) the Doncaster match last season in the EFL was shown, but perhaps via the EFL / Carabao site?

  5. I suspect with several clubs interested the club feel they can hold out for an extra £million or so, especially if some of those teams have a bad opening result.

If absolute cash is an issue perhaps there will be various clauses: games, England call up, staying in PL, sell on % etc.

It is clear he is ready to leave for a PL club, so let’s hope the deal is reasonable.

Unless anyone meets our valuation he should be playing.

Guess a judgement has to be made if his mind would be on the task. TM right it does need resolving.

To be fair he has earned his chance at the PL. He has always given us all and certainly has been our best signing for many years.

I buy fanzines, programmes at away games, occasional print magazines like WSC or Fourfourtwo, and I’m really enjoying Turnstile magazine that’s 2 issues in and is bloody brilliant.  I gave up buying our programme regularly as it was crap.

Printed media still definitely has a place… has to be good though. Obviously it’s far easier to bin it completely and suits the general approach of everything at the club at the moment.

    What’s the Turnstile magazine?
