Impressed with Edun as a left wing-back, Adam Wharton is majestic, Mola is not a center-half, JRC poor, Vale missed more than he scored, Leonard is physical and strong.
We know, hence why he shouldn’t be playing for our u21s, or any u21 side in the country.

Why the fuck is Wharton playing for the u21s today? Absolute nonsense

I don’t know how much to read into us tonight because they were SHITE, as in one of the worst displays I’ve seen at Ewood in years shite.

Doubt we'd play Ayala on the right of a three, not mobile enough. Also surely S Wharton starts??
Probs VDB, Hyam, S Wharton as the staring three if we went that way.
No, the best centre half in the league will always start for us when he’s fit.

Left back should be the absolute main priority now.

''First of all, it is understandable, if I was a supporter as well, I would be going crazy," Tomasson admitted. "If you count the number of players we lost who played minutes last season, 12 left and three have come in.''
Thread title change? I think a bit is understating it now

Where do you reckon the new one fits in Mike? I’ve put below the centre backs in the order I would pick them, where does the new one fit in for you?
Ayala
Wharton
Carter
Phillips
How anyone can watch the last 2 games and believe that Phillips is a suitable 4th choice Championship centre half is beyond me, especially when one of the 3 in front of him is a well known crock and the other 2 don’t have the best injury records. It would just be gross negligence and not fair on the boy (yes, boy).

If Pickering and/or Phillips play on Saturday, we get beat. It’s that simple for me.

I thought Phillips played very well against Long who’s a wily old pro. The reason we lost was we where overrun in midfield and didn’t have a threat upfront, not because we defended poorly.
Do your eyes not work?

Absolute horse shite! Reading last year I had to watch Khadra RWB and Ryan Giles striker!
Reading away this time was worse than Reading away last season, that’s not even a debate.

Very short memory. Fulham at home?
Fulham were one of the best sides I’ve seen in the Championship and we had 10 men for most of the game. Reading are not. Last night was worse.

It's a crying shame that JDT isn't going to get the backing that Mowbray got for 3 years. Just imagine what he could do with the depth and options Mowbray was able to bring in.
JDT served up a bigger pile of rubbish last night than Mowbray ever served up, I think we should hold off from calling him the second coming just yet.

He’s been pretty awful at times and decent at others, overall he’s a particularly average championship full back
Douglas was worse, Bell at his worst was as bad as Pickering at his worst
He’s far from an average Championship left back, he’s playing at least a level above himself right now.

I've been saying for ages Dolan and Vale not good enough....getting slagged off for it while we were winning...Preston had it right.
Didn’t take a genius did it

WOW! Lancs Live saying he is staying and signing. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/transfer-news/blackburn-rovers-tottenham-contract-phillips-24781299
Stinks of clickbait. In my opinion it’s no coincidence that ‘exclusive’ happens mere hours after Spurs fans’ interest in Phillips was piqued.

FYI Rovers are expecting if he leaves at the end of the season to receive circa 250K from Spurs, but that would increase for every game he plays for us before he leaves. It’s likely we will SELL him this window and that fee will be a couple of million.
It goes to a tribunal if we can’t agree a fee, no idea where your 250k figure has come from.

This is the pivotal point.
Is his overwhelmingly positive influence on the team not worth 4 or £5m?
If we happen to go up, and it's a very, very big 'if', I really believe he would sign a new contract and stay.
How can a young championship reserve who's never played a game be worth £7m but the best striker in the Championship, playing for the side top of the league, is worth less than £15m?
With him, we have ambitions of top 2.
Without him, we have ambitions of the play-offs.
All for the sake of less than we paid for Gally.
He is irreplaceable, given our current circumstances. Almost regardless of who replaces him.
I really think he will do a lot of JDTs job for him, if we can only keep him.
The initial outlay on Brereton and his salary/bonuses are a sunk cost and shouldn’t be factored into whether we sell him this summer or let him go for free next summer.

Nah, i think at least a couple need a rest. Sheff Utd coming up a few days later. Dack is an option but i still don't think he will start yet.
He’s never going to be ready to start if he doesn’t start, no better chance to give him a go than against Reading when a lot of our players will be exhausted after yesterday. Dolan is okay as a sub when some energy is needed but he shouldn’t be a starter at this level, which I believe Tomasson has already realised.
-
Dack for Sammy will be the only change I reckon, I don’t think you’ll see the two of them on the pitch at the same time much this season.

Who played the through ball to Diaz to get him on his way to assist the 2nd? Was it Morton?
Yes. Beautifully weighted.

Some very good performances like Ayala(my MOTM) and Travis were the best players on the pitch for me.
Say what you want about Chaddy but he’s (probably one of) the first to mention Travis’s performance today, one of the best of his career, absolutely relentless. He was fucked after 80 minutes but somehow pulled together a second wind for the last 21(!!).

Jon Dahl Tomasson - Officially No Longer Our Head Coach

If Pep was managing us in this league he wouldn’t play like he does at City. Playing to your strengths is basic and Tomasson seems incapable of doing it, which is very worrying. I think we all know 6th is a false position, we’ll be lucky to stay up this season if we carry on playing as we are doing now.
