Seems like defenders have the best chance of breaking into the team from the academy. Only exceptions I think have been Travis (after converting, and nearly didn't get the chance to properly break through), Mahoney and arguably Nuttall (don't really count him the same as Travis...we picked them both up from other clubs but Nuttall was a fair bit older when we did I think, and made first team appearances quickly). I suppose if we are going back as far as Jones and Hanley there was also Hoilett.

Picked up Travis from Liverpool and Lenihan from elsewhere....

Get knudson from Ipswich for left back because he has 6 months left on his deal. Jamaal Lowe for right wing at Portsmouth and Bauer at Charlton with only 6 months left. 

 

Reed to be signed in the summer I hope with Dack staying and then another striker for up front.

 

Armstrong will stay on the left of midfield so no point in signing a player for that side.

Knudsen is an awful awful shout. He's not great.

Missed out on a loan sign as Sheffield Utd got him instead.

 

Will be looking at mostly loans but if deals become available the venkys will consider it. Being closer to the play offs come end of January might allow for more cash to be spent.

Dack has a value that if not ment then no deal to be done. Venkys want to keep him until the summer at then maybe take the cash to reinvest throughout the squad.
