JAL you're embarrassing yourself. Of all times of the season, now is a good one to just stop going on this with hunt of yours.

Young lads need opportunities, Ronaldo wasn't the same player when he played for Lisbon as he is for Madrid. If you can't grasp the concept that player need time to learn their trade, you are missing a very basic tenet of football and sports in general. For everyones sake, go and think logically about what you are going to say before posting.

    Spot on!

    What signs?

He played some in the checktrade trophy and Nuttall, Travis and Tomlinson in the 1st team match day squad..

2 out of a squad of 16, and hardly trusted them played them once or twice. I'm not including Nuttall because he's not an academy product.

I believe that without his pace, he is basically a version of Craig Conway (when we first signed him) that is left-footed. Therefore, his quality is at least that of mid table Championship even before he starts running.

It's unusual for someone with pace to have a proper engine too, I've only seen it at Rovers with Bellamy. Maybe Dickov at a push.

Not able to see any comparison at all between Chapman and Conway. Conway has get technique but zero trickery/flair.

Chapman has relatively good pace with lots of trickery and flair and can beat players.

Conway had a little pace but he's just an excellent crosser of the ball.

Unlike Nuttall, Jack Doyle (not to be confused with Charley Doyle) isn't even playing in the U23 team. I can only assume that he's backup to the first team bench, and not quite making it there. Must be frustrating for him to be caught in no-man's land at the moment.

I have a feeling that Williams might be moving on in summer, so perhaps that will make Jack Doyle our second choice left-back next season.

Sam Hart must have known that he wouldn't be near the starting XI when he signed for us in summer. I suppose there's some logic in being signed for a bigger wage at a larger club, and then getting your first team football by being loaned out to a smaller club who couldn't afford those wages in full.

Actually I think the Hart signing must have been a complete shock and destroyed Doyle's confidence, when I think he was close to the first team. Very odd signing from Mowbray. Another position where Mowbray has completely affected youth development.

  5. I'm going to add a little twist that I am optimistic about and could be a possibility.

They have got these 2 accountants in. They will tell the Venkys that they are going to be making a loss of £8m a year at least due to relegation.

Any half decent accountant would advise that Venkys sell the club immediately, as it is a loss making company and that's not successful. Almost certainly they will advise to write off that gifted debt £100m and sell the club. As that is the only way that anyone would buy it.

    In comes a new owner.

These are just my assumptions. But it's just some food for thought.

I understand not getting on his back after 1 game and 48 hours of training, that is ridiculous, but I wouldn't say he'd be completely blameless for relegation either. He's got 14 games with a squad which I believe is good enough to stay up and I reckon a good manager would keep it up. I think (and hope) he will keep us up but if he doesn't he'd have done a bad job imo.

    Is this a wind up?

He has had no players to bring in himself. The players have had an awful pre season. Zero pre match tactical preparation.

    He will keep us.

The negativity on this mb is unbelievable. Have faith in Tony Mowbray. He had a day to get his own stamp on the team and already we've played unbelievably we might have drawn but it's the best we have played.

  7. What everyone appears to forget is that Tony Mowbray has a very good record especially at Boro and Coventry until recently where he was messed around by Coventry's owners. Yes it may be the same with Blackburn and Coventry, however we have a mid table quality side. Tony Mowbray was a quality defender. Let's give him a chance and back him instead of everyone moan. We have to back him. He's better than Coyle. Knows tactics and how to setup a team. Feel like no one is happy when we have Venkys as owners. Be happy that we have someone who will probably be able to sure up our defence which isn't awful under the right management and structure.
