We don’t want to start being pushy with Ben and his international desires. The magical Chilean Diaz spice added to the fire in his belly cannot be understated; It’s like a catalyst. I’m pretty sure he draws some magical powers from South America when he goes there.

We will lose him for a few matches, but he will come back stronger,  fully powered up and ready for the final push.

His fans in Chile think he’s the best player in our league, when he embraces this the witchcraft happens. He loves this crazy fairytale like we all do.  We need his army of followers to jump on the Rovers going up train!

Venky’s should be making this story into a Bollywood movie, if we get promoted I can definitely see Netflix and Co. Wanting to make a series out of Ben. Would be better than Dream Team.

That's all true, but the point still stands. They need Ben, sure. So do we, he could be worth 150+ million for the club if we make it to the PL. We pay his wages, they dont.

Just what I've seen of him from highlights from people have shared. But Rovers have clearly scouted him and seems happy to sign him.

I didn't take the 150 million thing serious.

I wouldn't be accepting any bids for any of our key players.

It might not have been serious nor realistic - but you would absolutely take 150 million for BBD, something you said you wouldn't. The club would, the owners would - its their money not yours. If it was yours, you'd take it. It covers what we'd get in the PL and we could still yet get promoted (so double whammy).

Chaddy we have brought in 15 million for Armstrong

16.6 million for the training ground

Brererton will fetch at least £15 million in the summer

Yet we are still worrying about FFP.

    Its a joke!

Even Mowbray talking about planning for next season. He doesnt sound very confident in our chances of promotion does he?

Forest are spending knowing they can sell Worrall or Johnson in the summer. We are in a much better position in the table than them and have an asset in Brererton.

Plus would you not think it would be wise and sensible using our position in the table to our advantage by attracting players.Players now will see us in 3rd place

In the summer they will see a club that have lost 4 of their best players.Losing 3 of them for nothing!

    Spot on.

Do what Forest are doing and hedging new signings off the value of a player that is obviously going to get sold in the summer.

I thought forest were close to breaking ffp rules in the summer so unless they are gambling on promotion  it might come back on they next season

They've been seeing off 12 million bids from brentford and other PL teams for that Brennan Johnson. Perhaps they think they have him in the bank if they need to balance books at some point. They want minimum 15 for him.

Just had a look at Matt O'Riley as I don't know anything about him, looks a really talented player.

Usual disclaimer, I know it's only highlight reels, anyone can look good.... etc

I've only watched a couple of 'EFL player of the month' highlights videos, but I would suggest you couldn't make reel that impressive over 5 years of a Corry Evans for example, yet all in only one month for O'Riley.

Wand of a left foot, playmaker from deep but also gets forward, nicks the ball off players, skillfull, composed, takes set pieces, scores a few, seems to have it all.

Only 21 and was at Fulham previously, offered a 3 year deal with option of a fourth. Turned it down to leave for first team football in a lower league which you have to respect. Same as Tayo.

Obviously would expect the club to do more scouting than my 5mins, but I can see why there seems to be a bit interest in him.

Scot Twine is the one to get from Mk Dons

Anyone seen much of Josh Bowler? The goals and assists columns don't scream out "standout Championship star" for a winger.

Looked quality whenever ive seen him. Think was on loan to Hull when i first saw him and he looked good then. Was taken aback when Blackpool managed to sign him..would have been good for us.

I’m basing mine on how horrific he was when called upon last season, as well as Saturdays debacle. In the previous games this season there were some worrying moments caused by his poor positioning. Fortunately he was very well protected by our superb first choice back 5.

I said as much after those clean sheets and got pelters. He had little to do, and thank god for that.

How can you compare Pears and Raya?

Raya was brilliant at Rovers, he made a few mistakes but was largely brilliant, Pears just isn't as good, he obviously has the capacity toplay very well but he doesn't seem to be able to replicate that,  That's what makes a good keeper. I think to blame the coach for tha is harsh. I know the counterargument; 'if he's good sometimes a good coach could make him good all the time.'  If only it was that easy. Every keeper has the occasional great game.  It's been said the thing that seperates non-league players from top notch ones is the ability to consistently replicate their best form.  He's above his level. No amount of coaching is going to fix that. He reminds me of Steele- who ironically is somehow playing in the premiership now.

I can't see the logic in letting Raya and Fisher leave, the latter now being chased by Swansea and bringing in Kaminski and Pears.

I really like Kaminski but I don't think he's better than Raya nor do I think Pears is better than Fisher who has done consistently well at MK Dons.

To me our former keepers were blamed for a poor defense infront of them, I'd much rather have kept the pair of them and rediverted the cash elsewhere- easy to say in hindight but I was a big fan of the pair of Raya and Fisher and gutted to see them both leave.

Its like comparing pears and apples 🙂
