Maybe our collective expectations of Dack are too high. I fear the championship may lead to him having a great game less frequently, one in five kind of job. I really hope I'm wrong.
Far bigger tests to come too. Couldn't see us getting near Villa, Boro or Swansea. To name 3
Yeah. He was another who had an okay game. Actually looking at the players, several had decent enough performances, Bell, Nyambe, the CBs. Palmer stand out. Even at a push, you would add Bennett in there.
those are the positives I supposed

Spot on really.
It's funny we have all these midfielders, but are so badly lacking upfront. It's inexcusable really. True about the loan window, but today was two points dropped. What if we need those two points come the end of the season. Get a striker in Tony.
Ya, Travis makes me feel a bit on edge. He definetly has naivity in him.
Two minds about it. He’s 21 now and should be playing some championship football. He’s not completely out of his depth so do give him games

We were good from around the 35th minute on. Completely dominated the game, albeit with no cutting edge. Poor finishing, poor final pass selection, poor pass choice.
We need something sharp. Let’s hope dacky is still finding his feet and finding his range. Tammy Abrahams kicking his heels?

We were definitely 2nd best for much of the first half but showed a few bits of quality. 2nd half we’re well on top for most of it.
I know people have been commenting it has to be one of Evans or Smallwood for centre mid...I’d agree, but on this showing Evans should be nowhere near the match day squad. He had an absolute shocker for most of the game, granted Smallwood wasn’t great but at least he harried Millwall and didn’t leave them comfortably in possession.
persobally would have subbed Evans for Armstrong/Rothwell, pushes Bennett into the centre and left Palmer on. As a few have also said Graham missed a couple of chances you’d expect him to convert.
Not the worst result we’ll have all season, just feels a bit deflating after not turning up for most of the first half!
I thought Evans had an okay game and I am not his greatest supporter. Taking Smallwood off in lieu of Evans was correct imho

I didn't read it I heard 2 different reporters say it, Rovers only came to life in the last minute of the 1st half.
Their keeper had a few good saves to be fair.

Not so much, don't believe what you read. We started badly, but they didn't look great. Solid definsivley and reliant on set pieces. When we played a bit, we were well on top. Just no cutting edge. 2 poor misses by Graham and an absolutely atrocious cross/pass by Armstrong after he got in a great position.
Actually Armstrong did it again later albeit on edge of the box. Preferably, he should be running into crosses, not be the one putting them in.

We all knew we needed a seasoned alternative to Graham. I know I’m harping on about it, but piss poor to be reliant on some loanee to hopefully provide competition/an alternative.
It is what it is now. Now let’s hope we do actually get an alternative:competition. If no one comes in, oh boy...

Funny old game. We were hanging on first part of first half and then disappointing not to win at end of second half.
lots of other teams drawing too

Well we ain't playing with pace anyway, that's for sure
Feels like safety first, 1 point will do

So we are lacking pace and need a striker. Who would have thought it
Wouldn’t say we lack pace with Bell, Travis, rothwell and arma on now. You just don’t feel them wanting to push on though. Playing out for a 0-0?
-
Not much urgency surprisingly

Come on Trav - perfect time to open your account for the Rovers.
Or joe rothwell. Whoever. Just score, lol

We can win this!

good shout on travis, him on for smallwood would be good, just means graham would be blowing out his ears at full time
Smallwood already subbed off. Perhaps Travis on for Bennett. Keep graham up top and have the busy bees buzzing all around.

Just don’t take Graham off when we need a goal. Christ, surely it’s our turn for a late winner?
Agreed. Think he can last 90 mins for just the second game of the season surely
-
Would like to see Travis on. There is a lot more energy now.
-
Christ, rothwell looks a bright talent...hmm...
-
Rothwell good run with ball but pass to nowhere

Millwall look dangerous when they break forward, or is it me feeling jittery
-
Sad to say, I guess I didn't miss much of the final day of perm transfers. Wee bit disappointed with all that talk of signings bandied around. Let's see what kind of loans we can get in now then. Will be watching Millwall in anger

I take it Willy von Trapp missed his flight?
Also I see Ivan Toney has signed a long term deal at Peterborough from Newcastle. 1) Wasn't he one some people rated highly, 2) how much did he cost i wonder and 3) does that make the departure of Maddison more certain?
For no.2, their chairman says it’s a high 6-figure fee

. An ambitious move for a premier league forward has also been mooted, any idea on who that is?
Probably the disgruntled Morata or Batshuayi.
seriously though, who mooted?
disappointed though that Man City is now back from their US tour and we have no one signing from there despite TM talking about it just before they left.

Ipswich confirmed the signings of Nolan and nsiala from Shrews. Oh that was some time ago

That article screams to me that whilst money might be available, don't expect much to happen before Thursday.
I reckon we might get one in before then, then maybe 2/3 on loan before the end of the month.
Things have been quiet for one or two days now, after Arma signed. Twiddling thumbs. Will they unveil more than one player at one time? Or it is a courtesy thing to only do one each time
hopeful that we suddenly show off 2/3 at one go

Palmer struck me as a flair player. Abit of show boating at times, step overs. But he is still fitting in and bumped into dacky a few times.
yes, Bell did go forward quite a bit. Ditto nyambe
