There were messages on here saying he’d be gone weeks ago, I won’t be getting my hopes up too much.

28 individual goals mean nothing if the team doesn’t perform which it hasn’t and armstrong has about good games 50/50. Seen games that I blamed him for lost points, too selfish, missed pens etc.
A good goal haul but I would prefer a more complete striker that leads to more team pointsI get that some folk love him, i just think he is limited in some areas. Wish him all the best and he will be given a good reception on any return to ewood but I’m not crying about him leaving
Makes it all the more impressive when the rest of the team doesn’t perform. He shouldn’t have to do it all on his own, but he’s had a good shift at it with his record. Not saying he’s an unbelievable player but deserves credit. I’ll be disappointed to see him go but expected as it’s a cycle when a player does well they move on.

Too inconsistent for what?
Certainly not for our level.
Don’t get it. 28 goals says it all.

Rooney’s only been in the management game for 5 minutes and he’ll still have Tony’s number come Friday night.
As an aside, what on earth has happened to Ayala? Unless I’ve missed something he’s dropped of the face of the earth and doesn’t even seem to get a mention in our injury round-ups?! What a horrendous signing.
The world’s longest groin injury I’ve ever known.

Rotherham have only got time for a quick nap before they play Cov on Thursday. If they win that we're officially in a relegation battle.
Can Tony take us down twice?
If he does he’ll be in charge next season.

Rhodes was certainly not hated. Not rated by some but never hated.
He was a very limited player, just so happened that the thing he was limited to was the thing that wins you games.
Maybe not hated, but criticised more than others when he’d contributed much more.

I don’t get the Armstrong hate.
He’s actually scored more than enough for 3 of our players and constantly drags us out of trouble. When he goes we’ll be lucky to get a striker that is anywhere near as consistent.
Rhodes was hated too. It’s because they are good and are expected to be world class every game.

Just read the match report on BBC. One thing that struck me was the following phrase: "Blackburn, without a win in 7 games, remain in 17th."
Now whilst this is factually correct, what it does for fans of other clubs, armchair fans etc. is minimize how bad our run is. Sure, without a win in 7 is still bad but it's nowhere near as bad as one win in 15. Basically the stat halves how dire TM and we have been of late. No wonder people think he is a good guy doing a good job if this is how things are reported.
It’s frustrating to say the least. It’s always been the case when we’ve struggled. They only know half of the story.

Wish he had passed then.

Shocking from Kaminsky, he's been an accident waiting to happen for a while but by and large has got away with it until now.
You’ve been waiting for that all season.

Thing is, it really isn’t funny.
I know it’s not, you just couldn’t make it up. Hit the woodwork three times then concede.

2-1 Cardiff hahaha

Why are people surprised that the players are playing shite, they’ve got that tool leading them.

And now it's 7 nil. TM says "We are superb having drawn away at Norwich and had we not been robbed on so many occasions we'd be in the playoffs".
Bet Hudds manager gets the boot before Mowbray.

Full day at work, loads of replies to get through and still nothing. The hopes were up for nothing. Sadly it’s what we all expected deep down.
I’m 100% edging towards hate level and it takes a lot for me to get towards that.

Not my decision (to resign)?
Zero integrity
Can’t believe he’s said the performances have generally been good.

God that interview was depressing as ever.

There’s the excuse, missed a penalty that cost us the game.

Haven’t posted for a while but still check to read sometimes. This Rothwell deal has really blown me, the timing is ridiculous and I know it’s down to money but I thought he would be better than that and wait it out. Bloody Bournemouth of all teams, embarrassing regardless of position. As others have said if it was a PL side you could understand it and wish him well. Premier League supporting friends can’t get their heads around it either when asking me about it, on another note Giles is superb according to a Wolves fan I know.
Let’s hope this doesn’t derail us and quality additions arrive.
