Absolutely heart breaking, a true rovers legend. I had the pleasure of meeting Tony on a few occasions in the late nineties and he really was a proper gentleman. Brought a tear to my eye watching this.
I hope the club can assist Tony and his family in some way. They need to know they are not on their own.

Think I might have posted this in the wrong thread.
Im travelling over for this game. Am I likely to have 1000s of knobenders on my train from Manchester?

Thanks.
I suggest someone like Ruddy or Lee Grant.
Dawson has been linked with us from Sheffield Wednesday. Does appear he out of contract in summer
Ruddy woukd be a top top signing. Unfortunately I feel that he is outta out league wage wise. Don't know enough about Lee Grant tbh, but I'd still say he's a safer option than Walton.

How old is he?
34-35, a young pup for a keeper

Agreed. Would be a very good signing and probably not too expensive. Walton is probably on comparable wages.
Norwich have agreed to let him go for nothing which will suit our budget lol a keeper really needs to be priority. If we only bring in one player this window it must be a keeper.

Michael McGovern would be my first target. Norwich have agreed l to let him leave on a free and wages wouldn't be an issue, and more importantly a hell of a lot better than what we have here

Does Dack attend games? He seems to be having a nice time anyway, spending lots of time with the missus going off instagram.
I fear we have seen the beat of him
He's just had a career threatening injury. Cut the lad some slack. It's no biggie if the manager has allowed him a few weeks away

We need a decent goalkeeper and fast. Raya at 50% is still better than that clown Walton.

Have to say I don't get this. He's dropped everyone - Smallwood, Bennett, Evans, Williams, Armstrong, Johnson etc.
Yeah totally agree with you. The gaffer has dropped all his so called favourites and gave everyone a chance recently.

You will find that the only thing I said was that Dack plays at his best with Graham and not with our other strikers. If Graham is not selected, but Gallagher is, then Brereton would be a better partner for him, than Dack. Pick the best partnership that is available.
Surely if Dack is fit he should start. He's our best player and our talisman. Regardless of who the striker is Dack starts.

Happy enough this game is on Monday night. If results go our way this weekend we could be in a position knowing that 3 points will put us into the top 6.
Im expecting to see this team.
Walton
Nyambe
Downing
Tosin
Lenihan
Evans
Travis
Bennett
Dack
Armstrong
Graham.
I'd probably have holtby in for Bennett but have no real objections if Bennett plays wide right.
Let's go rovers. 3 points and let us all enjoy Xmas day in the top 6

i do think the manager will want as little disruption as possible to his settled side. The fear for me is he will bring Bennett in at full back, downing out wide and Rothwell in Dacks role. I hope this hunch is proved wrong as a think we will lose on the organisational side of things taking the captaincy of Lenihan.
Anyway nothing to fear, 3 points is certainly possible.

I’ve got to say , despite our recent run of great results ( and a point at Swansea is no disaster) but teams who have their eyes on play offs don’t perform like we did tonight . It’s not a one off -away from home particularly - but can’t keep the ball , wrong options , slow tedious build up and actually looking out on our feet . We also still look vulnerable at the back .
we had a good chance tonight to go and win that going a goal up against a fragile team and then again with a one man advantage but ultimately we have simply too many that aren’t up to it .
i might have taken a point before the game but the manner in which we achieved it left me disappointed overall and to me we are middle of the road team that will raise hopes by winning a few and then go on to disappoint just when the chance is there for the taking.
And in truth I think I and several others made the same comment before the season started .I've got to say I disagree with this 100%. Using your own logic you could quite easily flip your point and say a point away from home when not playing well is a great result. The team looked tired tonight and dug in well. Walton, Nyambe, lenihan, Evans and gallacher all having good games so there are some positives. I also don't buy into the fact that Swansea were fragile. The evidence last night was that they were well up for the game and determined to put in a performance, which they did. I can understand people having a pop when the team play poorly. But they don't deserve this ridiculous over exaggerated reaction on last nights performance

Well I was completely wrong about expecting changes ? This is difficult to get used to. Four games in a row unchanged? Might that be a first for Mogga?
It is indeed. We have played the same line up on three occasions before but this is the first time ever we have kept it the same for four games.

Absolutely buzzing for this game now. Don't see any need to change things. Same team same subs Tony.
Let's go rovers

Thanks for the tip Mercer. I only got 7/2 but with a cheeky £20 on it in absolutely delighted.

Not correct, actually.
Mercer has a habit of getting it spectacularly wrong in predicting Rovers wins.
I've made quite a bit this season this season betting against his silly forecasts.
So you betting against Blackburn. ?

Huh. And yet when I do some big Tosin, the newspapers describe it as a 'completely classless act', and that I 'shouldn't be allowed unsupervised at the Mall'. Pfft.

Big Tosin is a class act. Just always seems to be in the right place and always available for a pass. I think he has a big future in the game.

Off topic but need some help.
Can you get access to the fan zone at half time if you are sat in the JW stand? I know you can if your in Blackburn end. This will help me decide what stand to buy my Leeds tickets for ?
