Many positives from the performance today. It was great to see malgoire play so well and Williams was superb beside him. If money is as tight as we all suspect it is we have got to put all our resources into buying a quality left back. I don’t normally slag our own players off but bell is awful. He needs replaced asap. On another note I thought Buckley appears to have filled out a bit. He definitely didn’t look light weight when he came on.

It was just a bad day at the office for lenihan today. More often than not he is solid and dependable. Certainly the best defender we currently have. Not sure if he is premier league standard, but I'd be confident that he would play in most championship teams. Just have a look at the stats of how we do when he's not available. 

I'm thinking he must have a move lined up and this was his wee dig before he goes. And if not fine him

What pisses me off more are some of the comments under that tweet. '' rovers legend'... '' our captain''. Absolute nonsense. One goal scoring season in league one does not make you a legend Charlie boy. Close the door on your way out

Agree, Marshall is a good solid championship keeper. I would bite your arm off for him rite now. This keeper situation is diabolical atm and the biggest black mark on TMs reign at rovers to date

Luke thomas a young left back at Leicester has started their last 2 league games. I know for a fact that Rodgers thinks very highly of him and is looking him to go on loan next season to play regular football. So Tony / Steve if you're reading this sign him up. ?

Definitely a massive test will be getting this decision correct. 

Ditching Raya (whether he wanted out or not), when it was clear we hadn't got an adequate replacement lined up was absolutely criminal. 

A blind man could have seen Rayas potential and its no surprise that he's went on to be a key performer for Brentford this season. 

A few names jumping out for me would be Joe Hart, Ruddy or even Marshall at Wigan. Joe Hart would be fantastic and my number 1 preference. I wonder if we can off load Mulgrew and Graham would that free up the required wage budget.

Very good post. I'll hold my hands up and say that at one stage this season I wanted shot of the manager, because we were playing so poorly and as previously said the keeper situation really annoys me. But he has turned it round and I'm glad he didn't get the boot. 

For someone who has preserved with under performing players and poor formations and plays players out of position, he has progressed us every season. 

Don't get me wrong certain things that he has done annoy me as well. Especially what happened with our keepers this season 

But he has done more good than bad and personality I stand behind him 100%.

Very. Or they were just bulling because they didn't want to go. That said it's a bit of an extrapolation from that to saying fans who criticise the team or manager want us to lose.

Criticising the manager is not the same as wanting the team to lose. Nor is not rating the manager. The two things are mutually exclusive and the idea that any Rovers fan would be gutted if we snuck into the playoffs and went up is horse manure. More like you can't cope with different opinions. It must be easier if you tell yourself those nasty critics want us to lose, but it just doesn't wash or ring true at all. 

I take on board your comments and apart from your snidey remarks its well structured. But in my opinion there are people on this forum that enjoy having a huge rant when we loose. 

I gut into a dispute with someone on here at the start of the season who refused to watch a pre season game because Evans was playing. How stupid and petulant is that?

two wrongs don't make a right and whilst it's true to say they never get it all right the critics for the 12 million is perfectly justified. Managers live and die by results and their big signings. The whole clubs financial health could rest on that and to look at it another way if they recoup that money from the sales of Dack & AA well we are no better off are we.

Let's just deal with facts. We paid just over 1 mill for arma. 2.5 mill if we get promoted.

It's got to the stage now were u genuinely believe people want us to get beat, so they can have another moan. I'm sick to death of the 12 million wasted on 2 forwards line as well. No manager gets every transfer rite. What about the 2 million spent on dack and arma. That compensates for the money spent on big Ben and gally

Serious question. Do you genuinely believe that? Apart from the long term projects in Brereton and Gallagher. This team has been put together on a shoestring budget and a good youth academy. We are over achieving in my opinion and in a better league position than other clubs with much bigger budgets than ours. 

Some of TMs decisions can be baffling at times, but on the whole he has done a great job

What a buzz for today after last weeks result. Pre covid I would imagine this would be a sell out and a great away day. I won't be one bit surprised if its same starting 11 with Nyambe on the bench. 

It's the hope that keeps you going. If I was told at the start of the season that with 9 games left to play we would still have a very real chance of the playoffs I would have bit your arm off for it. 

I think at 5pm today I will have a much clearer view on how those playoff chances look.
