  1. "However, he is a replaceable player. This isn’t a Sammie Szmodics moment" Correct, there isn't a single player in this current Rovers side that isn't replaceable imo. We even managed without Szmodics goals when everyone (including myself) thought we would struggle. Travis and Tronstad are both good players but limited in their abilities and hopefully the new midfield players will bring a different dynamic to the team. For what it's worth, I have only ever seen one irreplaceable player in my time watching Rovers and that of course was Shearer, simply because there was nobody better at the time.
  2. Axel Henriksson Set for Blackburn Move as Swedish Midfielder Undergoes Medical Blackburn Rovers are set to complete the signing of Axel Henriksson, with the Swedish midfielder currently undergoing a medical ahead of a permanent move, according to reporting from Daniel Kristoffersson. Henriksson, 23, has been a standout in the Allsvenskan last season and is expected to join Rovers in what would be his first move outside of Sweden. The deal marks the latest chapter in a career shaped by both misfortune and resilience and one that could align well with the demands of the Championship. A right-sided central midfielder in a 4-3-3 system, Henriksson profiles as a traditional box-to-box engine. He scored eight goals in Sweden’s top flight last season, frequently arriving late into the box and contributing in the final third. But his attacking output is only one part of a broader game defined by aggression, intensity, and tireless defensive work. “He’s always taking the offensive runs, always a threat but also a ball-winner who never hesitates to slide in,” a fan of GAIS told RoversXtra. “He was the most booked player in the league last season, which says a lot about how involved he is.” Though his disciplinary record is a consideration, Henriksson’s leadership qualities and personality have made him an integral figure in one of Swedish football’s most remarkable recent rises. After being released by BK Häcken in 2022, following an ACL injury and a change in the club’s coaching staff, he joined a third-tier side newly relegated from Superettan. Three years later, they are one of the most stable teams in the Allsvenskan. “He’s been central to our back-to-back promotions and our survival. Without him, we wouldn’t be where we are,” the same source said. “He’s smart, honest, vocal, loved by us, and often hated by opponents for exactly the same reasons.” The expectation within Rovers is that Henriksson's physical attributes and work rate will translate well to the Championship. Though still young, he arrives with significant senior experience and a track record of influencing games on both ends of the pitch. Assuming no late complications, Henriksson will become Blackburn’s latest summer addition, and one whose arrival could add intensity and balance to a midfield already in transition.
  3. Got a hell of a goalscoring record for a midfield player. 25 goals in 63 games ? Be delighted to get a striker with anything like those stats.
  4. How the fuck is Kargbo not starting in this side ? Might not always come off but he can make things happen
  5. From LT article today. Surely another striker is now priority over another CB ? Rovers still want to sign a right-winger, attacking midfielder and secure further cover at centre-back. Miller’s fee is thought to be around the £1million mark all-in and so, hopefully, the trade with Brittain gives additional funds for Rudy Gestede to source further reinforcements across the squad
  6. £750,000 plus extras apparently, good deal if so.
  7. NEC keepers on his way to Sunderland apparently for around £12m
  8. Sorry about that 😄 It's transfer talk only for me, can't be arsed about all the other stuff on here. Got so many people on ignore you wouldn't believe 😄
  9. Rovers reopened talks over Baradji on a pay as you play deal. Player happy to come under those circumstances.
  10. Special word for Jess Carter as well, after the last couple of days. She was also excellent today 👍
  11. Don't ask me how we won that, 2nd best for majority of the game but who cares 😄 Well done the keeper by the way, she's been good all tournament
  12. Judging on where Alebiosu played yesterday when he came on, I think he'd be better suited as a potential RW option. Certainly didn't play right back when he came on. Still think a winger will come in though on a permanent
  13. One thing I will say about this side, the way they have harried and pressed all game, I doubt there will be many fitter teams in the league. Really impressed with the work rate if nothing else.
  14. Seeing as there have no rumours recently, thought I'd start one. Just read about Le Havre's financial problems and wonder if this guy is worth a cheeky punt as alternative to Baradji
  15. Just came on to reiterate everybody's elses sentiments. Truly awful news 😥and puts everything else into perspective.
  16. Honestly can't stand reading any more of thie shit on here. I'm done until the season starts
  17. Just wondering with Batty now looking like staying, whether they are considering Pickering as a left CB option. That would leave the new signing (whoever that may be), Wharton and Pickering as left sided , with Hyam, Carter, Atchison and O'Riordan on the opposite side
