Never been a Dolan fan but admittedly he works hard, isn't hampered by injuries and does all the things you'd want from him except deliver consistently.
Fact is, he isn't top quality. If we hadn't constantly low balled him he could have been a decent if not spectacular member of this years squad.
Good luck to him.

Imaginative initiative from non league Chorley. They have lots of standing room which undoubtedly helps but with us supposedly allocating safe standing areas it could work.
The key sentence for me is 'You asked and we listened'.
Great idea for "smaller clubs" it would be a logistical nightmare for probably the 2 people who run Rovers ticketing operation.

Hi @DeeCee.
I've been following this thread and wondered how you're getting on. I'm in the same club as you unfortunately, and will be having liver surgery in August to hopefully remove my cancerous lesions.
I can see you're still active on the forum which is great news. I do hope your treatment is continuing to go well and life is as good as it can be...
Cheers @yeti-dog,
Thanks, my treatment is going well 🤞 I have my last session of immunotherapy on 6th August (it's a 2 year course) and after that I'll have 3 monthly scans. When (and it will) the tumour in my lung starts growing again (may be anything from 6 months to 5 years, seemingly) I will then go on a course of chemotherapy or radiotherapy.
I'm fairly active still, get tired easily and am a lot shorter of breath but if you'd have given me this 2 years ago when I was diagnosed, I'd have taken it!
I hope your surgery is successful and you have a good support network around you. I spent a lot of time researching all the various aspects of being a cancer sufferer, Macmillan are a great resource for this and have given me lots of useful information.
I live alone and have great neighbours but all my family are still in Lancashire so I have to be pretty independent which suits me as I enjoy my own company 😁
My biggest driving force is having my dogs, they give me a reason to get up in the mornings and a positive start to the day.
Positive mental attitude is a big factor, I go into my oncology and treatment sessions with a cheery attitude, there's always people worse off, quite often a lot younger.
I don't know how long you've been diagnosed but when you visit hospital regularly (I'm there a couple of times every month) it becomes less daunting and more "routine".
Thanks for asking about my health, it's been quite cathartic putting my thoughts down in writing 👍
Good luck with your treatment, the forthcoming surgery means you're moving forward 👏
Once again, best wishes.

I think somebody has tried with the kits but they've failed but not a bad attempt by this regime. Faint praise and all that.

Ok, I just sent another, marked, “2nd request.”
Not that I expect an answer. Just wondering why the club does not do a little more to help its fans, particularly, the remote ones.
I will cheer for Rovers, no matter if they’re in the Premier League, or the National League. The least they could do for we fans, is to acknowledge receipt of an inquiry about the club we love.
They'll look into it.

I reckon Suhail would rather tap dance on a minefield than attend the meetings, but, he said something to me last night, that suggests he's rattled.
If that's not going to be in the minutes, surely you can divulge?

I watched quite a lot of it because it's football, the alternative being the Women's Euros.
Chelsea players have 3 weeks off before home friendlies against Bayern Leverkusen and AC Milan on 8th and 10th of August then their first league game against Palace on the 17th.

This is why the 5 day game is the essence of cricket (Baz Ball excluded).
3 fantastic tests 💯

I'm guessing that Val wants to keep Cal, surely he'd be pushing for both sides to come to an agreement?

The date today is the 4th July 2025. Rovers announced on the 22nd May 2025 that Waggott would be leaving.
He is still appearing as a director on Companies House. The company have 14 days to inform CH of changes to company's directors or their personal details, including resignations/terminations.
What can be taken from this?
1) Waggott was still a director of Rovers at the 20th June 2025.
or 2) whoever runs Rovers (The Board of Directors) have disregard/disdain/arrogance of the potential impact of failing to inform CH. This might lead to; financial penalties; criminal offence; disqualification of directors; company dissolution; criminal prosecution.
I would be worried if I was one of the remaining three directors; Rob Coar, Reddy Gandhi Babu (who?), Sreenivasa Rao Mandava (family member?), continuing to act as director. They're culpable leaving themselves open to actions, or negligent.
Especially so when it's abundantly clear that they are knowingly taking instructions from a shadow director, Mr Suhail Pasha.
Perhaps his contract ran till end of June as well?
In which case they are still in time.
I agree with you though, I was just playing Pashas Advocate.

But again how can he be surprised? The JDT saga was played out in the media to the point he was essentially gagged. JE leaving again a team in playoff to a team in relegation
val would/should have done his research on rovers it’s all there to find so he would and should have been wary as to what he was walking into. Manager out of work just want back into work
Any port in a storm.
VI was unemployed for some time, Whatever amount (within reason) he is being paid, he'll stick it out for a couple of seasons I expect.
If he bombs, any scenario is possible.
If he does well (no barometer, sorry), his professionalism will be tested, that's for sure, whether he quits or is (possibly) "poached" as was Eustace, will determine the ambition of both himself and the club.
Both may be totally different.
