The one (and probably only) thing you can credit the venky ownership for over the years is that they're never a pushover when it comes to selling players for the price they value them at

The dolan situation reminds me a lot of the nyame situation.... Player thinks he's better and worth more than he actually is. But if that was the case then a decent club would have snapped him up immediately.
Can see his career nose diving and him becoming another player that doesn't realise how good he's had it here

He got a lot of stick on here in the past (mostly aimed at his apearance and demeanor 😅) but seemed a good loyal popular member of staff. Be gutted if d Johnson gets pushed out too

Sorry not as sure it's been mentioned anywhere else and didn't want to create a new thread.... But it's been pretty much confirmed that david lowe has left the club

Britain shouldn't be for sale to another championship club.
And anything less than 10mill should be laughed at. But hexsim0ly shouldn't be sold

I know it's still early days.... But has anybody been impressed by a single thing that Ismael has done(or even said) yet?

Also tbf😣 as cretinous as they are you could argue Pasha & waggot have a decent track record of hiring good managers (just sadly in regards to the last 2 they've quickly jumped ship)

Valerien Ismaël - did well at Barnsley but has fallen off recently with failed spells at WBA and Watford. Would be an underwhelming appointment.
Gary O'Neil - did better as caretaking manager at Bournemouth than when he was appointed on a permanent deal. Had a horrendous start this season at Wolves, leading to his sacking. Nothing suggests that he would be an improvement on Eustace.
David Lowe - has done well as interim head coach with two wins on the bounce. Lacks experience and not convinced he has what it takes from a man-management perspective or how to change his tactical approach when results go against him.
Damien Duff - did well to win the Irish League with Shelbourne but there's a vast difference in terms of quality to go straight into Championship football. Club is not in a position to gamble at this point in my opinion.
Pep Lijnders - assistant coach under Klopp in Liverpool for several years. Failed spectacularly at RB Salzburg earlier this year. As with Duff, he doesn't warrant a gamble at this point with the club needing to find an experienced head coach who can guide them to playoffs.
Lee Carsley - has done reasonably well with England U21 and his short spell as caretaker manager for England but lacks experience in Championship and managing in club football in general. Would be a gamble like many others in this list.
Aitor Karanka - was relevant ten years ago when he guided Middlesbrough to PL. Failed appointments thereafter at Nottingham, Birmingham, Granada and Maccabi Tel Aviv. Would be a disaster of an appointment.
Luis Boa Morte - has had assistant manager roles under Marco Silva at both Everton and Fulham. Took up a managerial role this year at national team level (Guinea-Bissau). Just like Lijnders, Boa Morte doesn't warrant a gamble at this point.
Raphaël WIcky - won the Swiss League with Young Boys back in 22/23 but got sacked early last year following a string of poor results both domestically and in Europa League. Worth noting that Young Boys is a team who plays on astroturf / artificial grass at home, often giving them an advantage when playing fast-paced football. Wicky would be an underwhelming appointment as well.
Rob Edwards - spells at Forest Green and Watford before overtaking Nathan Jones' position as manager for Luton. Guided them to playoff-victory against Coventry and subsequently gaining promotion to PL but got immediately relegated the following year. Had a horrendous start this year, getting sacked with Luton sitting in relegation zone. Would be an underwhelming appointment in my view as his career and way of playing seems to have gone stagnant.
Steven Gerrard - best spell at Glasgow Rangers where he won the Scottish League title. Disastrous tenure at Aston Villa before getting sacked and replaced by Unai Emery. Not convinced at all that he has what it takes to be successful at this level.
George Boateng - has worked mainly as staff coach in various clubs. Lacks experience in head coach / manager department. Would be a disaster of an appointment.
Agree on every assessment.
If that really was the list then it would be 💯 best just to leave it until the summer when there will be more managers available or until someone more promising comes forward

That is the danger. Too many modern managers are wedded to “ playing their way “. Which may not be our current way.
That's why I've been thinking that maybe Gerrard could work even though I'm not really a fan of him overall... But he could have the personality and determination (bit souey esque) to just push us over the line and he can just let the current coaching team keep things as they are for now without any major or changes
-
Can't believe there's so many that genuinely think Allardyce is the man for the job🙈
He did a average job for us on the whole and his career went on a steady continuous downward slope after leaving us (and became the epitomy of a mercinary)
-
Big part of me just feels bringing any new manager in at this point would likely upset the balance, they're going to want to implement new things and change others,
Just feel best not to rock the boat anymore right now and maybe the current remaining backroom team deserve to see the rest of the season out and keep things running as they have been whilst we're still in serious contention for a play off spot, then bring in a new head coach in the summer
But obviously If our form plummets and we fall away then yeh roll the dice and bring someone new in sooner

Fk him, just another in a long list of wankers that think the grass will be greener on the other side.
We've lost far better managers and players to "ambition" they rarely meet those ambitions once leaving here though.
My money says he won't last 12 months at derby.

Logic says put D Johnson in place until the end of the season so that there's as little disruption as possible
-
As much sympathy as I have for any manager working under the venky circus Id still have zero respect for Eustace if he jumped ship at this stage in the season after all the effort the team have put in to keep us challenging for a play off spot
Plus Derbys a shit hole of a club.

Well I think its again going to come down to goal difference to get in the playoffs so hopefully at least one of them has brought his scoring boots because there's quite some catching up to do.

Just put sky's deadline day footage on and can't decide who I find more repugnant and slappable! Michael Dawson or the horrid little goblin sat next to him

True dat.
I agree it does often seem more like pure petulant stubbornness than good buisnesses negotiations
