JPVH looking increasingly likely to leave Brighton in the summer.

Didn't think I'd ever say this but are we as desperate for him as we maybe once were? Centre back not a priority for me even if Ayala leaves with Carter stepping up so well .

Striker (or two), CM and cover perhaps at LB the priorities, but doesn't need a complete overhaul this summer imo

Also JRC and Carter new contract after the news about Garrett today👍🫰

I agree it's not currently looking like a priority area, but Anel Ahmedhodžić at shef united is showing what a difference having a Premier league class defender and leader at the club can add to the team! I don't think they'd be doing anywhere near as well without him

Be curious to know if this option to buy deal is for the same amount that we we had in place! 10 million upfront did seems a bit ott considering he wasn't deemed good enough to play for forest in the prem, still love it if we went back in for him in the summer though!

  3. Personally I'd lose a lot of respect for jdt if he leaves this summer after all of his and GBs talk about us being on a long term journey with them at the helm.... Unless it was a big  champions league club that wanted him that we couldn't even closely compete with salary wise. Hopefully he will be offered a big improved new deal her  soon

Not that worried we are out of the cup. Thought we played really really well. Decent box striker and we would have won.

Only real point of concern is the subs, obviously let us down. Looked all over the place.

But generally we are on a hugely upward trajectory.

Before the game I might have agreed with you but It's losing the way that we did that is outrageous.

Feel for players like szmodics, travis and a few others that played brilliantly

  5. Just a side note!

Personally if I was in the pretty unique(for an adult) position to choose a new club to support with a clear conscience! in this area I'd go for Accrington Stanley.

Genuinely! Fck all these clubs owned by mega rich foreign tossers that couldn't give a wank and only buy the clubs for bragging rights amongst their other silly rich pals

    P. S. As for 'Riverside under the whatever....' s comments about the Riverside.... I think what he means is thats where the regular down to earth working class folk sit, aside from a few spots near the pillars the views there are as good as anywhere, but the first half a dozen rows aren't well covered from the elements.

    P. P. S. !  If your 💯 serious then id reccomend maybe going on one of the ground tours 👍 welcome ta rovers, fingers crossed you're definitely getting on board at a time when we are really on the up

  6. His scope seemed mainly to be welsh players and pushed for us to go for them.

We need someone with a much broader scope and better connections, especially around europe if we where to get promoted.

That said.... My guess would be that he was largely involved in convincing O'brian to sign for us and he wasn't happy with the amature hour fiasco that went on and how it's left O'brian in limbo at an important stage of the players career

One of their fans on that thread summed it up pretty much perfectly:

"Even when we were playing well, it always seemed in spite of Mowbray, that he had stumbled onto something without quite knowing why.

When it stops working he doesn't have an answer, just hopes to stumble onto something else that works."

Exactly what it felt like when he was here as well, hence the constant see-sawing form.
