Three months of which were the Summer break. He’s played thirty games in the last two seasons. Not great.
6 months was just a rough guestimate. Regardless though I think was available for twice as many games as he played under wise old Mowbray.
Probably just a little bit too big of a personality for mowbray to handle though.
Still pretty insulting to the player to as good as say that he may as well not be here though especially as has currently one of our most important and influential players

So we're down to Wharton Ayala and Phillips?
So essentially, we're down to Wharton and Phillips
Genuinely what other centre back options do we have? We don't have any midfielders that we could repurpose for a couple of games do we? Unless Edun could do a shift there?
Cheery fker you 👍
When was the last time Ayala was unavailable for selection through injury? Over 6 months ago id say of the top of my head

Mark Hughes had no Premier League managerial experience before taking over at Rovers.
Don't think he had any club management experience at all at the point did he!

Maybe that Bergan (St/LB) or whatever he was called could be a stop gap before we reinvest properly in another window. 31 I think he is.
Eeeek i hope not! (not as a replacement for bbd anyway, even short term!) He seems like a very average squad player at best

Best case scenario regarding BBD;
Brighton stick their name back in the hat, and battle it out with Wolves for him... we simply tell them to include JPVH as part of a deal and he's theirs.
Get the sense that jpvh is on his way out of Brighton anyway, It would be a big career move for Van Hecke so i think he'd want to be sensible and see if a prem club or decent European club comes for him offering good wages before he'd choose to rejoin us, But if he's thinking more with his heart instead of his head I bet we'd be his first choice!

Step forward Luca Toni
I do think we will be shopping abroad to find his replacement, maybe this birmencivich(or whatever hes called🙈) that Jonny boy worked with at Malmo plus someone else thats more of a traditional goal poaching CF

Be a shame to see him leave just as we are starting fresh under JDT but his sale this summer has been inevitable as he won't be signing a new deal.
As long as we replace him, then it will be fine but that's not a guarantee.
Where have you read that btw?
Assuming we get some serious money to spend to replace bb if he leaves.... Who could we realistically try signing to replace him?
I'm hoping we wouldn't have to be taking gambles on div1 or relatively unproven players, we'd need someone to come in that can pretty much guarantee us at least 15 a season
Aside from salary restrictions one of big hurdle we have these days is simply that having spent the last 10 years mostly treading water in the championship we just dont have the pulling power we once had, not just financially but also in reputation & stature, there's now a whole generation of younger playerd that will only really know us as a championship club (with sketchy owners)
I'm hoping JDT and Broughtons enthusiasm is now doing a lot to change that perception, but it's still early days 🤞🤞

Too much guff is being said about Dack, right now he just needs to bide his time and prove his fitness, he's an intelligent player and I'm sure if he's fit and strong enough to hold his own he'll be able to force his way into the squad and adapt to whatever the manager wants.
Right now i think the biggest worry Dack and everyone around him at the club will have is whether his legs can hack it or will he breakdown if he pushes too hard, which I think would pretty much mean the end of his career at this level 😔

Szmodics scored more goals than any of our midfielders last season playing in a poor squad that was relagated.
Only gallagher(by just 3 more) and BBD scored more than him in our whole squad
I'm pretty optimistic he'll do well for the team, for me he doesn't necessarily have to score double figures as long as he's contributing well in other areas and our other attackers are all chipping in with goals and assists...
As for his fee, it just is what it is. Seems about the going rate for a good attacking player going into his peak years to me

I'd say this guy is totally honest whereas Shebby couldn't lie straight in bed....
Totally opposites in my opinion, but I respect your opinion
I meant more in regards to him not being able to keep his mouth closed and blabbering on playing to the crowds.

This came up at the end of last week about MacAnthony. He’s the absolute opposite of our owners, in that you can’t shut him up 😂 I know from living and working in Peterborough a few years ago that he likes to engage with the supporters,
It comes from the right place, but he probably takes it a little too far.
Just makes me think of the late Shebby Singh

I find it quite refreshing tbh. Football has become too sterile over the years.
Not sure refreshing is the right word. Unless you'd consider golden showers to be refreshing also 🤔

Just seen szmodics interview on fb... He can actually string a few sentences together in a row without mumbling or cue cards! that's novel for a footballer 😅

So tasteless, tacky and unprofessional seeing club owners etc... Posting things like this on social media.
Just desperately trying to keep their pathetic egos intact by bragging and not wanting to lose face with their fans.

Anybody know if theres a good up to date database update for fm21/22 available? (not necessarily an official one, but a good one)

I forgot Wolves where even in the prem 😂
Think he'd actually be a decent fit there, at least he'd be more likely to get game time
But they all needs to put up or shut up though.

Hopefully I'm not just kiddin myself but the longer we go without any fresh new links to a cb the more it makes me feel we're waiting to see where Van Hecke stands with Brighton once the premiership starts

we got Elliot as a kids on loan from Liverpool he didnt do too bad did he?
Hmmmm
Two Completely different types of player and positions though tbf
There's a lot more responsibility in the centre of the park for Morton, where as Elliot was pretty much given a free role to just go out there and strut his stuff😄
Leighton Clarkson arrived with high expectations but he just looked like a boy lost 😞
Hopefully Morton will be a gooden though, nor sure we're hed fit in if Travis and Buckley carry on doing well as a partnership in the centre of the park

I wouldn't assume that at all tbh Yank.
Dolans frustrating, I like him a lot but he only seems to be really effective as a sub to come on and stir things up, when he gets a start he seems to go missing for a lot of the game tough.
Makes a great impact/super sub, but not all players like getting that tag long term when they feel they should be starting

I think we lack real height and raw strength at the min in the 1st team, aside from Gallagher (who never seems as strong as a bloke his size should be) and Ayala who is quite the beast (looking an absolute crime that he was never played when fit under the last bloke, twice the natural cb and leader that leninhan is/was!)
And sczmodics isnt going to increase our average height at 5'6 (not knocking him he looks a tidy player)
The liverpool lad looks tall but a bit lanky still,
Just think we could get muscled of the pitch at times this season if we dont get a bit more meat on our bones 😄

It's not about knocking him. He made no impact against what I believe to be one of the divisions poorer sides. Probably needs another loan but he does have so.e decent attributes....bit early for him that yesterday against a quality central defender in Jake Clarke Salter.
Boro will murder them in my opinion.
Believe it or not. Not all post on here are directed at you specifically!
I don't really care for your opinion as i could simply predict it if i wish so (just as most can predict chuddys bum lickery at the other end of the spectrum)
